actually, this is just Shaolin Kung Fu training. to train themselves to become as hard as iron. it takes dedication yes, but that is not "martial arts in its purest form" but rather, it is just Shaolin Kung Fu style of training. the Art of Shaolin Kung Fu takes years to learn and master, but then again so is every traditional martial art.

i believe i was referring to the lifestyle. for these guys, it's just kung fu. but it's wholly integrated into their lives. their behavior. their health. their philosophy. it's the practice of martial arts in its "purest" form. of course i don't mean real dedication is exclusive to the shaolin monks.

I may find redemption, through the mastery of Zhan Zhuang Kung Fu. Mastering that posture, is the most difficult of all forms of Kung Fu. Believe it or not that "tree hugger" posture is Kung Fu. I can't learn techniques, but no one should stop me from attempting to master the Zhan Zhuang posture.

learning shaolin kungfu doesn make u become a shaolin monk. The shaolin temple offers training, but they wouldnt allow these students to live within the temple cause they are not officially considered "monks". temple is the place where real monks study and live peacefully. students and trainers are "outsiders".
