My GSP had to be put down at 12, way too young, he had hip problems and couldn't get up and relieved himself at the same spot. Took him to two different vets and came back both times w/prednisone. WTF, now I'm seeing videos of stem cell treatments and old dogs running like their 5. The vets in Reno, NV are pathetic and useless! I will NEVER buy another dog again in his honor.

My friend has one of these dogs he great for hunting but.........he is TERRIFIED OF RAIN HE WILL NOT STEP OUT SIDE IN THE RAIN!but he is such a good dog

Our 8 month old GSP is a onry little fucker. Jumps the fence, then when we try to get him, he runs away. He's adorable, but he's too smart for his own good.

I'm 13, I've had a German Short Haired Point since I was 7. His name is Ruger, after the gun bcz he is a hunting dog. He's the best dog I've ever had, he's great with my little cousins who r 2 and 4. My dad takes him to work in his office everyday, and everyone in town knows and loves him! They are probably the best companioned dog there is, he's very attached to us. They are really easy to train, but u have to keep working with them, an make sure they know tht yur the boss. I love GSP!!!!!

Gsp"s are great dogs, and my dog Toby is great with kids, he seems to understand that when kids come on the go its time to pipe down, very clever pooch.

I have met very high strung GSP and the reason is that their owners are high strung too. My two dogs are brothers and they they run and run but whent hey come inside the house they sleep and sleep. We have a very calm household. the only time our dogs don't settle down is because we have company and even then they are pretty calm. I would recommend getting a invisible fence that way you can let them out without keeping an eye on them

GSP are amazing with kids! We had one when I was 1 and he was amazing with me and loved to be with my cousins. The one we have now we've had for 11 years (my whole childhood) she has never hurt us and played with us since we were really small
