I want to be an olympic swimmer some day but I'm 13 and the only training I've had is on a swim team at a public pool and the team only practices in the summer. I'm really athletic I play soccer, volleyball basketball and I ski and bike and do a little running. Too late to start training for swimming?

It's interesting that Phelps is always the one who arises to start to stoke after turning. Quite obviously, Phelps kicked to the deep and emerged late. This not only helps him to catch up with Thorpe and Hoogenband a little bit but also makes him be able to spurt so fast in the last 50m.
