I've seen the regular Haunted Mansion millions of times. I just went there last week and saw this for the first time. I wasn't expecting them to change it as much as they did! A pleasant surprise! Now, when my kid's go back they'll be expecting the x-mas version, since they saw it for the first time with the x-mas stuff in it.
Walt Disney stated that "Disneyland will never be finished, as long as there is imagination left in the world." The fact that Disneyland evolves was planned by it's founder. So, those who speak about what Walt Disney would have done, do not really know about the man. Do more research.

I KNOW! when i went on it last night my little sister kept screaming because these guys kept screaming and saying, "muhahaha!"

Should've turned off the night vision., it completely ruined the color in there for this.
