  • @asymmetricsymetry actually it is. It's from "The most gigantic lying mouth of all time" official Radiohead DVD. You gotta see this. I was watching it everyday for sometime.

  • @No1Significant1 You've successfully captured the feelings we have when an addiction starts.

You missed the part where you get to a point where you put too much faith in drugs (or whatever other addiction it may be), which also happens to be the same time you realize how little of yourself you actually are when the addiction does take hold of you. After that, it's lock and key. You try and try to escape, but the only form you find is when you partake in your addiction.

  • this is definitely my favourite radiohead song, from possibly my favourite radiohead album.

  • def underrated.. i just think that ppl don't get it, it's too intelligent. ;) it's one of my fave radiohead songs!!!

  • Strong video, really made me feel things through my guts. The bunny's appearance makes one smile. I appreciate this video, b/c a person always feels like there are several identities within him and it's hard to know what and how to live one's life...

  • Kinda looks like Hugo Weaving :P

  • Underrated by who? When?

  • That bass.

  • sweet bunny!!!!! <3

  • Ive see this exact thing on 4 hits of some ball trippin green gell.....

  • Way creepy. Not chill. Song is too legit though

  • Great song, but for me video is little too creepy.

  • Frank!

  • brilliant

  • Wow, Adam Jones did a great job ! ;)

  • im tryin to understand the video....who fell at the end? and why was the other guy so angry..

  • @Varencilator from what i understand of it, the one at the end who fell, died i believe, was the one who was injected. the other one was mad because they seemingly had a close relationship of some sort. I'm not fully understanding the bunny at the beginning, unless it represents his rather positive side that comes out only when he dies because it was trapped inside him while alive

  • @Varencilator It's a song about addiction. The things that happen throughout the music video, along with the actual song, represent what happens when you get that "high" when you experience whatever your addiction may be. The person who fell at the end represents the point when your addiction finally takes over your life. The reason the other guy was angry was because the former version of "yourself" is never good - always bad; something ruled by something other than itself.

  • @therealWesley Very insightfull. This album got me through hreoine detox & revovery...very emotional thing for me, to see this video done so increadibly well;(....

  • @f1471in3r It's emotional to me, too, but because I lost a good friend due to addiction.

  • @therealWesley sorry to hear that...I truly am. I'm tearing up right now thinking of all the mates I've lost over the years....

  • @f1471in3r Yup, it sucks. :/

  • 1:51 shit goes nuts!

  • Creepiest. Video. Ever.

  • @samthebassman412 the creepiest the better

  • @blackundergroundmx It works in all fairness, freaks me out though haha! Chris Cunningham and Aphex Twin are the worst.

  • I often listen to Radiohead while operating.

    - Doctor Hopkinson

  • This song sounds lovely on Norco 10/325

  • drugs

  • This video remainds me a lot of Tool

  • @Mizumaru412 ya radiohead version of prison sex

  • I've always given one interpretation to this song: it's a speech from God to Mankind. If you read it this way, it makes sense and it's really, really deep...

  • so the story of this vid is what exactly?

  • Moral of it:Drugs turn you into a cannibal then kill you....?

  • Favourite song from hail to the thief album

  • Under rated indeed. Amazing song.

  • Psychiatry? Ain't... Sure no difference between me and the person on the other side of the able...

  • god so wish I'd never seen that, no sleep for me tonight then

  • @roblowefan1 You should watch all the: "The most gigantic lying mouth of all time". I was watching it once a week. Made me happy.

  • Dang it, why does claymation always scare me?

  • @MinkyBoodle44 yeah I second that clay is effing scary

  • Video was pro!

  • LOL, this is NOT the official video. There was never an official video to this song.

  • @hanl9889 not at least officially from radiohead, but still fans can make a slight official video which this comes from the The Most gigantic lying mouth of all time

  • I try it in english. This song is wonderful. I love it. To me is the best song from Radiohead. It's like a trip. It's wordeful. Buonanotte

  • vin diesel??

  • I love this to bits.

  • Shut the fuck up bitch, I WILL EAT YOU ALIVE!!!

  • I feel that every Radiohead video has a separate meaning differing from the song.

  • great video

  • my favourite radiohead song !

  • fist shaking

  • hahaha I love how angry he gets when the other one falls apart, shaking his little fists around

  • begins where it ends... creatures remind me of tool's videos...

  • Inertia bmx!

  • still gives me chills

  • terrifying! amazing!

  • hail to the thief and amnesiac are both underrated. amnesiac is beautiful it has so many layers. this song is the best off of hail

  • WEIRD!! but cool :D

  • fara un cuvant.....Wonderful song

  • tool's style video :D love that

  • wow this videos so freaky lol

    pretty cool though

  • Idk why but when i first listen to hail to the thief the first song that made me fall in love with the album were this one 2+2 and sit down

  • well at least thats what i believe

  • i tried it once and i have to say its very evil it gives you a sense of peeking into a world that disguises itself as normal and harmless but ive seen too much of its real face to be fooled. thats why the man at the end laughs and dies because he will no longer experience that pain and addiction while the new guy knows he will suffer the same fate

  • to be honest i never knew about this song till i got it from dude wheres my mount now i love it

  • hail to the theif is my favorite radiohead album...i love them all

  • ohh I c

  • This, along with In Limbo, Knives Out, You and Who's Army, How To Dissappear Completely and Reckoner, is up there, my favourite Radiohead songs. Among those, it is the most inspiring one. It never gets dull. I love Thom for this.

    Criminally underrated indeed!

    Thanks for uploading. ;)

  • what's this video translate to from abstract to concrete terms?

  • Comment removed

  • @mackles this videos meaning isn't really that complex, just think "where i END you BEGIN"

  • @yoyoboy70 "The videos meaning isn't really that complex...." isn't that what I said below? In so many words? lol

  • @mackles mm..actually this video was made BY thom (and of course Stanley Donwood etc..) for "The Most Gigantic Lying Mouth Of All Time" DVD, released BY radiohead, so..

  • @whateversunsaid I humbly stand corrected

  • @mackles ahah no problem man

  • Wow. This is radiohead alright. It is impossible to compare radiohead with any other band.

  • woah little bunny that resembles a moogle face. weird, but... super cool. Hail to the Thief is my favorite album.

  • OK, this is an incredible song and all, but please don't tell me I'm the only one who thought the thumbnail for this video looked like a veiny penis?

  • luv it

  • As a bass player, the first thing that really captured my heart when I heard this song is that insanely sick bass line! It's just so relentless and catchy! Hail to the Thief actually took me years to really appreciate, but now that I've warmed up to it, I thoroughly love it. If you gave up on this album and set it aside back in 2004, dust it off, put it in your stereo and give it another listen. It's mind-blowing and timeless, just like their other albums.

  • this is my favourette radiohead song, this and, the national anthum. <3

  • This song (and the video) are both reminiscent of Tool.

  • well put

    this song is criminally underrated.

a lot of people looked over hail to the thief, well, they missed this gem

  • Hmm apart from an inmediate Tool reminder, due to the claymation, i like how the concept of One and the Other is portrayed. Very psychological...the ending lines say ''I Will Eat You Alive,There'll be no more Lies.'' How this is expressed might be in the idea of how when you meet someone you cross a line, everyone has a space,a known, i am one,and you are the other,we clash at times. And this is part of being alive.

  • Men, I definitely like this video. It´s awesome. Disturbing.

Well. I don´t know where you guys are from but, here, where I end its pretty well accepted. At least in the radio fans that I know. Anyway, hail to the thief it´s one of the bests. Punchup...Sit down, there there, etc.

  • wow this looks exactly like a tool video....

  • I love this song sooo much... Buyt this is by far one of radiohead's videos made!

  • nuts that this band did 'high and dry'

  • @LfunkeyA get on your way trolling fool :)

  • @imitebwrong

    trolling? it's just an opinion.

  • @imitebwrong He's not trolling, just saying his opinion, just as you did ^_^.

  • @Ancientdrake It's people like you that keep the peace in the world xD

  • @LfunkeyA you are a dumbass!! keep stupid comment to yourself

  • @LfunkeyA dumbass..

  • @JohnHeaven18

    douche

  • @LfunkeyA THIS SONG IS AWESOME

  • @ajejebrazorfaldo

i agree. however, it's overrated by radiohead fans (yes, i hate generalizing)

  • @LfunkeyA then who do you listen to, mr. supercritic?

  • @johnathanstrother820

i listen to tons of radiohead, along with all the other stuff posted on my youtube profile info (if that interests you). i just find this song to be decent, not underrated in any way.

  • @LfunkeyA get away biatch

  • @LfunkeyA hahaha !

  • There's a gap in between There's a gap where we meet Where I end and you begin And I'm sorry for us The dinosaurs roam the earth The sky turns green Where I end and you begin I'm up in the clouds I'm up in the clouds And I can't and I can't come down I can watch and not take part Where I end and where you start Where you, you left me alone You left me alone X'll mark the place Like the parting of the waves Like a house falling in the sea In the sea
  • it's a beautiful song - I will eat you alive.

  • your description of this song is on an epic scale of supreme greatness and genius

  • its like a creepier version of salad fingers...

  • about the addiction of heroin?

  • Who said it was underrated?

    So wrong.

  • it's radiohead's tool video!

  • Its sad how criminally underrated this song is. Great video

  • I will eat you alive......

  • @RSRatornra

& there will be no more lies :)

  • genius at work

  • I love Radiohead it hurts me to see no other band have reached their leave angers me ...it shows the failing not of young bands, but of an industry, that wont let young artist grow artisticly.

  • looks like a tool video

  • This is up there with There There imo. Both are great songs, but I think this takes the cake. Amazing song and amazing video, it's a trip.

  • bassline is so sick

  • Powerful song. The end makes me addicted. Radiohead rules the musicworld.

  • Too scatty this video mate, awesome though, just fucking scatty as furrrk.

  • lets not do heroin. love this song and love radiohead

  • awesome ..

  • official?

  • freaky!! i looooove it :D

  • Reminiscent of Tool.

  • love this song (along with almost all other radiohead songs), but the video isnt very good.

  • tripy

  • This is one of my favorites from Radiohead!

  • @amber832 best tune ever...cheers from brazil...

  • @amber832 Every time I listen to a radio head song I say to myself "no this one is my favorite".

  • all i can say to all of radioheads songs is WOW cause im always so gobsmacked

  • Why didn't I know about these Hail to the Thief video's before?!

  • @Spinoraptorrex this wasnt a single for the album, this video was released as part of the Most Gigantic Lying Mouth project

  • Gotta love Radiohead's music videos.

  • This is probably my favourite song from Hail to the Thief. Well, at least today. It changes all the time, cause Hail to the Thief is just so great, so many amazing songs.

  • This song whit the lyrics have moved me some how. music does that sometimes. i hope ill find back.. see you again

  • what the hell just happened?...

  • .........creepy.

  • Hail to the Thief is just as good as Kid A and OK Computer, it just takes even the most diehard fans a long time to appreciate it for some reason.

  • thanks!!!!!

    Excelent!!!!

  • indeed.... i didn't knew it - never bought hail to the thief -

but i'm glad to know this song now!!!

  • This the only radiohead song i like . ..in fact i love this song.

  • SOOO true about this so being super underrated. Actually I think 'Hail to the Thief' is entirely very underrated among the fans too.

  • well, I found 'Hail to the Thief' very hard to like originally, I really only liked 2+2=5, There There and A Wolf at the Door (what could be considered "hits" and all got music videos) but now I've finally enjoyed the meat of the middle with this song, sail to the moon, sit down and others.

  • I never understood the criticism it received. It's just as good as any of the other albums they released.

I love listening to Radiohead and hearing how their music has evolved ofer the last 20 years. I actually can honestly say that there are no more than a handful of songs i am yet to love and appreciate.

Hopefully one day they do decide to release another album despite them claiming that they don't intend to.

  • It actually didn't receive any bad criticism. If you check metacritic Hail to the Thief overall got better reviews than Kid A and Amnesiac. In Rolling Stone's Album Guide it's rated 5 stars same as OK Computer and Kid A. I think that perhaps the album is a bit harder to ingest than some of other Radiohead albums because it's generally more complex and thematically it may be harder for many people to relate to, that's why you'll see some people bitching (they're usually younger people, too).

  • Oh, and one more thing: they're definitely planning on releasing another album. As a matter of fact they're in the studio recording one (check Dead Air Space for more info). Yay!

  • Thats interesting. A few months ago they came out and said they would just be releasing singles from now on because they felt they had exhausted themselves when it came to putting together an album.

If there is a new album on the way then there that's fantastic. You've possibly just made my day with that news. Great!

  • "In terms of the band, we feel way more empowered in terms of our art and what were doing. We have been rehearsing for the last four weeks, for this new record. And we are in a very different place, a very new place. Im an eternal optimist, but I truly believe we can shift massively on this [next] record. Thats the thing we all know, that we feel in our bellies as were rehearsing — were on a big move here. Were definitely on a journey. And its exciting. (Ed O'Brien for Rolling Stone)

  • Thank God they changed their minds. I was so upset when Thom said he didn't want to make any more albums.

  • @nomikolynn225 they should have left a few songs that didnt fit off, and it would;ve been fantastic!

  • @nomikolynn225 This album affected me almost in the same way as Kid A. And I adore "There There".

  • @nomikolynn225 singin to the choir. i think more bands should have this take on an album: a true 'concept' album in the vein of dark side of the moon. and no, the comparison is not incidental, i think anyone who gets this album can see radiohead carry the torch for themes pink floyd dealt with.

  • creepy

  • fantastic song and great video tnx pref and 5 stars

  • completely underrated and amazing.

  • Genius! Both song and video are gripping, emotional and addictive! Better with each listen.

  • Weird video. Great song ;D

  • yeah, shocking... und irgendwie verstörend

  • what ja quite ähnlich ist^^

um mal aus dem denglish rauszukommen:

ist das nicht ein geiler song diese steigerung so eine geniale atmosphäre

  • shocking

  • This song makes me cry so hard its so painfull and different.. but i still dont know whats the meaning of it :(
