Plus the Only Singer as This Case

He Acts His Songs !!! Especially This

    "Whats Wrong With My World"

    The Forever UK TeddyBoy

  • put him back on tv

  • great really love this

  • he still got it

  • Too bad he never made it big in the States. He had to move to England to find popularity.

  • wow, never seen him with this beard before, really suits him. Good looking man

  • He had a wonderful voice. A little campy with hand gestures, in my humble opinion, but this is one fantastic song meant just for him.

  • When I was signed to Shapiro Bernstein in the 60's I was offered this song to record before PJ. I still have the acetate demo.

I was in the CBS group 'Five Steps Beyond', but we felt it wasn't for us unfortunately. We went on to record 'Meanwhile back in my heart'. This is also on YouTube so please check it out.

    Thanks guys

  • One word for Proby.....UNIQUE!

  • @rontenn PJ Proby can sing anything better than Elvis? Then why does he record worn-out fluff like Back in the Saddle Again? Is his target audience the under 6 and over 70 crowd?

Let's hear him record Kentucky Rain, Bridge Over Troubled Water, and You Don't Have to Say You Love Me. He's got to do it in his own voice too, no OTT Elvis impersonating allowed. Give people something with some guts as a basis of comparison if you want them to believe he can do it better.

  • @metrozapjoe Whatever P.J.'s releasing it's new! & not the same old recordings but this time "Take 29!". By the way anyone can impersonate Elvis.....no-one can get anywhere near P.J. I'm sure Elvis would have loved to record "Maria" or Somewhere" but having heard P.J.'s sublime versions he had second thoughts!! No other singer has the guts of Proby & he's had that plus all of his life!! The guts NOT to be a "yes" man!!

  • @rontenn What's this quality vs quantity trash talk? People buy records because THEY like the quality and they don't care what YOU think.

In the world music market today the US unit share is over 35% and the UK share is barely 8%. The US share of the 1965 market was even greater and the differential between the US and the UK was greater too. It has nothing to do with what people "think" in the US.

Pretending America wasn't the foremost place to tour and sell records in the 60's is ignorant.

  • @metrozapjoe IGNORANT!! Just about sums you up! UK 8%,USA 35% As I said quality over quantity! And that's why P.J. is still going strong everywhere (apart from the U.S)....PURE QUALITY As for the 60's......Musically Great Britain was the place to be,as usual THE trend setter!! P.J. made the right choice breaking through there! America didn't really go for him, maybe because half of them didn't even know he was Texan, probably thought he was from the 'pool LOL! Ignorance strikes again!

  • @rontenn Americans weren't interested in a Texan or anybody else who mimicked other singers. Occasional covers are one thing but trying to prove he could sound like everybody else was totally weird. Then he decided he wanted to grow up and record a bunch of old show tunes. Maybe Brits hadn't heard any of his stuff before and thought he was an original. Maybe they like his quavering cowpoke CD too. If you want to call that trend setting then have at it.

  • @metrozapjoe Britain & The Beatles gave him his chance & big break! They loved him from day one & still do! Elvis could not be bothered to come to England but P.J. did & as journalist Dylan Jones said at the time " A lot of people thought Proby was as good if not better than Elvis!" NUFF SAID!!

  • @rontenn Dylan Jones said at the time? He was there when the Beatles gave Proby his big break? Observant for a four year-old wasn't he? He said "a lot of people thought"? Well you can't expect a child of four to know how to count much less have his finger on the pulse of the British public, can you?

  • @metrozapjoe Typical!!! once again you have no sensible answer so you go off on another path that leads nowhere! You are the ultimate "Nowhere Man"

  • @rontenn What answer do you want? You claimed Dylan Jones said something about Proby at a time when Jones was only 4 years old. If he said it years later where did he get his information? You say quantity is worthless and now it matters? How many is "a lot of people" anyway?

Between '64 and '77 Elvis had over 50 LP HITS in the UK. Proby has a career total of 1. It seems A LOT MORE people in the UK decided PJ Proby's recordings weren't high enough quality to add to their collections.

  • @metrozapjoe Dylan Jones was very clever for his age!! LOL! Unlike you!!!

Elvis released piles of L.P's...P.J. didn't!! The more vinyl you release the more you have a chance of a hit!!

  • @rontenn So you're saying that the reason all the rest of PJ Proby's LP's weren't hits was because Elvis released a lot of vinyl? What happened to all those Brits you say preferred Proby's "quality"? Given the choice they opted to buy "lower quality" Elvis LP's just because there were so many released? The Brits are a fickle bunch aren't they? LOL

  • @metrozapjoe You're assuming that's what I'm saying but you twist everything around to suit yourself anyway & I have to say that your comments are really such a load of rubbish & nonsense combined. You just ramble on & on & on..!!

  • @rontenn I'm just trying to make some sense of your nonsense. It's you that's rambling about quantity and quality and flipflopping between the two to suit yourself.

Do you call that recent Proby CD of Elvis songs "quality"? You know the one where he does his exaggerated Elvis impersonations to Elvis backing tracks that anyone can buy on Ebay. I bet it's a real big hit with your little group of discriminating PJ Proby fans.

  • @metrozapjoe Can't you come up with an original reply instead of just mimicking my replies to your crap!?

Enjoy the "One Night Of Elvis-One Hour with Proby" CD. As Dylan Jones said " He's as good if not better than the King". Elvis had some really quality songs to record for his films....in the middle of some of them he burst out laughing at their "quality"! But as a "yes" man he had to continue! Proby's his own boss!!

  • @rontenn The Brits bought Elvis' movie soundtrack albums and left Proby's albums on the shelf. Why was that?

At least Elvis realized a lot of his movie songs were crap. But they were MOVIE songs written for MOVIE scenes. I guess Weisman and Batchelor should have written better stuff :-)

What's PJ Proby's excuse for doing junk like The Boom Boom Song and The Bells of Christmas Day?

  • @metrozapjoe Very strange that such an anti Proby person as you knows all about the most obscure Proby releases.Even some fans don't know of the release of the two songs you quote. Which brings me to the conclusion that you used to be a fan but still follow Proby or you still are a fan with serious head problems! Hate people too cowardly to use their real names on forums & You Tube!! Mentally unstable!? P.S. Love the emotion in the song W.W.W.M.W . No-one else could do it as good!

  • @rontenn Still living in the dark ages I see. Wake up! Record reviews are all over the internet. Proby can run but he can't hide his lousy tracks. WWMW is definitely better than those Boom and Bells tracks. LOL By the way only people who THINK they're important use their real names on the internet. So your real name is rontenn? Funny name. I bet you got teased a lot at school.

  • @metrozapjoe You have obviously heard those 2 songs or are you just guessing you would find them junk? My YouTube name is 3 letters short of my real name so everyone who knows of P.J. knows of me!! So you think by using a name like metrozapjoe you are unimportant? You are right for once!! WWMW ! what song is that then? You can run but you can't hide your lack of knowledge! LOL!

  • @rontenn Oh I get it now. You're brave about giving out your name when you can stand behind Proby. Some tough guy. LOL! So you say you're as famous as he is, huh? Must be why I've never heard of you. Did you forget what the songs are in this video? Easy to do since both of them flopped.

  • @metrozapjoe More verbal s**t from you !! I'll stand in front of Proby anytime & take the bullet!! As for your rubbish statement that I'm more famous than him!! well well! talk about twisting things around to suit yourself....I said everyone that knows Proby knows me! You, as I thought do not know Proby, but are simply someone that believes all the negative things the newspapers print!! Baa! Baa! You by the way are brave in nothing!! In fact a real coward!!

  • @rontenn Everyone that knows Proby knows you? So all the American actors, producers, songwriters, musicians etc. that Proby claims he knows also know you? I guess that includes Tuesday Weld and Herb Alpert. Hanging out on youtube is awfully small time for someone with such important friends as you claim to have.

  • @metrozapjoe I have lots of very important friends in the music, sport & art world!! I'm only on youtube because riff raff keep on insulting my friend Jim & although he's asked me not to bother answering I just have to! I do not know Tuesday or Herb personally but there are many others much closer to P.J. that I'm in contact with.Quite a few have sadly passed away but all of them were part of the P.J.Proby story! All gladly verified EVERYTHING PJ re-counted from '53 onwards. They were there!!

  • @rontenn It's a shame you don't know Tuesday or Herb. Since you say all of Proby's friends know you too I guess it means they aren't his friends either. Interesting because he's told stories about spending time with both of them in L.A. How about Glen Campbell, Leon Russell, Gary Paxton, and Nancy & Tina Sinatra? I suppose if you're Proby's friend he does have ONE. LOL But saying that some unnamed people verify Proby's stories is worth just as much as his stories are worth. Nothing.

  • @metrozapjoe I cannot be expected to know everyone that Proby has known in his long, long career.Rest assured I know more than enough people. These people will be un-named by me out of respect! RESPECT!! A word you definitely do not know the meaning of! From now on you can talk to yourself on YouTube,a bit like you do in your private life I should imagine!! LOL!!

  • @rontenn Posting your come hither comments on Elvis videos seems to have worked but I doubt it's the response you hoped for. The grungy looking guy on a drunken crying jag isn't what Elvis fans of any age are pining for. And the up-to-date version of Proby in other videos likely leaves Elvis fans happy their idol is frozen in time at age 42. What Proby has lost in voice he's gained in girth, and he has little going for him except a backup band that we hope will drown him out on the high notes.

  • @BroaderScope How do we know you're not a grungy looking guy on the booze? Your comments are similar to someone who's intoxicated!! You state that Elvis fans are glad their idol died at the age of 42!! very nice!! That will make you a very popular guy (NOT!) for speaking on their behalf!! I've noticed that anti Proby people never seem to have much upstairs!!

  • @rontenn I didn't say anything about Elvis dying at 42. If he had survived he would have retired from singing on stage (with his rock idol image in tact) long before his performance deteriorated to the point PJ Proby's has. Elvis had many years of film experience and would have jumped at the chance to do serious dramatic acting.

I'm very popular with other Elvis fans actually. I bring the chips and salsa.

Have you stopped sucking your thumb yet?

  • @BroaderScope Frozen in time at 42.....means popping your clogs at 42!!! I bet Elvis, if still alive, would not look half as good as P.J. & his voice would probably have gone like all 70 plus singers.....all except P.J.Proby of course!!!

  • @rontenn Wow where would we all be without you to explain what our words really mean?

You can't tell anybody who your important friends are or why your job is to badger the public but that public is supposed to believe whatever crap you post anyway. And they're also supposed to buy a CD by a dilapidated 70 plus Elvis imitator named PJ Proby who shows no RESPECT for the real Elvis. No can do.

  • @BroaderScope I wasn't going to waste any more of my time on you & your pathetic comments.BUT....Dilapidated!!???? You did see Elvis aged only 42 on his last tour? No wonder they try to hide the footage of those last shows! He didn't even have respect for himself any more! AND THAT IS MY FINAL WORD!!

  • @rontenn Is "unofficial" like unauthorized? As in you're doing your thing and Proby disapproves but he can't stop it? Or is it that he approves but doesn't want the public to know he does? Or maybe it's that he's never heard of you.

Let's see Proby squeeze his pot belly into Elvis' 1977 jumpsuit. I bet "they" tried to hide the footage of Proby on stage in the 70's sloppy drunk, flapping his arms and coming on strong to a woman in the audience. What was your point again about self-respect?

  • @rontenn Between '64 and '69 Elvis released 18 LP's, averaging 3 per year. During the same period he had 16 LP hits in the UK. That's nearly a 90% hit rate. Between '64 and '69 Proby released 7 LP's in the UK with one UK LP hit. With Proby's hit/miss ratio he would have needed 126 releases to catch up with Elvis' hit numbers.

The Brits were really big on Elvis albums in the '60s regardless of the spin you try to put on it. Your vinyl volume argument doesn't hold water.

  • @brown601trail Any spare water around has settled on your brain...what a boring post! Full of useless facts & figures!! It's all "what if" & "maybe". It's all about singing & P.J. is the better singer!!!! Much more emotion & quality in his voice........listen to WWWMW. Elvis could never match it!!! P.J. lives each & every song !

  • @rontenn YOU started the what-if-maybe game with maybe we didn't go for Proby here because we "probably thought he was from the 'pool". We sure didn't have a problem going for Lennon and McCartney so you'll have to come up with a better maybe than your Liverpool one.

I suppose the truth can be "boring" when the real facts and figures don't support your argument. I'm sure it's a lot easier for a Proby flunky to accept his excuses as to why he didn't achieve the level of success Elvis did.

  • @brown601trail Think what you like! Whatever you say is of no significance whatsoever!! I know Elvis sold many more records than Proby so you don't have to bung that in almost every post. The Beatles probably sold more records & had more number ones than any other group in the world....does that make them the very best? Of course not!

  • @rontenn Proby's "yes man" is telling me my posts aren't significant? LOL!

Maybe you like Proby's emoting and oversinging but Elvis fans would think his WWWMW sounds phony.

Proby's spent decades in the UK spreading lies, belittling his rock'n'roll contemporaries and claiming credit that belongs to others. The web and youtube have blown the lid off his con game. If he'd spent his career TCBing instead of trying to be a "character" he wouldn't be getting the criticism he's getting now. Too bad.

  • @brown601trail The only criticism he's getting are from a few morons like you. It's your daft opinion that he spreads lies etc. pure hateful fantasy on your part!! In every supermarket there are hundreds of trollies, one or two have wobbly wheels, customers just ditch them! You're ditched!! Not worth fixing!! LOL! I'm an unofficial Proby promotor by the way & will always spring to his defence when low life like you surface!

  • @rontenn What's an unofficial Proby promoter? Somebody who thinks they'll boost his popularity by calling youtube users "cowards" and "mentally unstable"? His idea or yours? Does he think it'll increase CD sales? Has it worked?

Why does Proby need somebody to "defend" him on youtube? Other entertainers have sense enough to know public opinion goes with the territory. It's hard to believe a guy who calls himself a star lets his known associates berate people on youtube. Looks pretty desperate.

  • @brown601trail Why am I on YouTube?? Because "thickies" like you berate, in an appalling an ill mannered way, someone like P.J.Proby. The words "cowardly" & "mentally unstable" that I used are nowhere near as degrading as the words you use!! if you can't stand the heat stay out of the kitchen!!! You're another idiot who from now on can talk to yourself on this clip as I'm not wasting my time even replying to the drivel you spout anymore! See ya! certainly would not wanna be ya!! LOSER!!

  • This dude could sing anything-- anything strong and full-voiced, that is. Assuming they're all still here on YT, I recommend to anyone that they peruse all of Proby's clips. He could do Opera, Crooner, Country, Soul (yes, I mean it), Rock, and all manner of Pop singing.

  • I love playing the "was he drunk or high when he performed this ?" game !!

  • TOP MAN!!

  • Whoever said he was versatile was right on and he's a terrific entertainer too!

  • Two of proby's greatest tracks , its such a pity that theres not more 1960s footage around . He still sounds great today

  • I agree with every one's comment's below. p.j. is the best !!!

  • Love the songs, love the dance routine in "You Can't Come Home Again".

P.J. PROBY IS A TRUE LEGEND IN EVERY SENSE OF THE WORD.

Love P.J. Proby with a passion.

    Aussie Proby Fan Forever.

    Leanne.

  • a living legend and in my opinion a far better voice than elvis ever had ! the showmaster is pj

  • Equal to Elvis? LOL

Oh goodness... I think he is an interesting guy, though. Great voice, too, in fact.

  • Christopher2584 Seems to me Elvis just went through the motions for the last half of his career. P.J. had his ups & downs too but always bounced back & at 71 is singing wonderfully well. Will power & inner strength count for a lot as well as talent. With those extra two factors Elvis would still be here! Ron

  • @rontenn You think Elvis just went through the motions for the last half of his career? You missed his record breaking Las Vegas shows and his 1974 Houston show with a one-day attendance record of 88,000? You weren't among the 62,500 fans at his 1975 Pontiac MI show?

You'd rather think Elvis went downhill with his films and didn't do much after that wouldn't you? How do you explain the thousands of Elvis impersonators on stage worldwide wearing 70's era jumpsuits and singing Suspicious Minds?

  • @brown601trail What has your comment got to do with this clip of the great P.J.Proby ? All I can see is the name Elvis!!

  • @rontenn My comment was in response to your comment ON THIS CLIP saying "Elvis just went through the motions for the last half of his career". If you don't want people to reply to your comments about Elvis don't post them. Just because you can't learn how to navigate beyond the first page of comments doesn't mean other people haven't mastered it.

  • @brown601trail Comments from ages ago are not current & things move on. Please note that all the comments lately are positive for P.J. I'm guessing that's what aroused you! you cannot stand positive comments about the one & only P.J.Proby. Whats wrong with your sad world?

  • @rontenn So are you saying you've moved on to giving Elvis credit for being the superstar he obviously was in his later life? Why don't you delete your old comments then instead of leaving them here for people to read? Yes, it looks like one or two people have been posting multiple positive comments about PJ Proby as though nobody will notice they are repeating themselves. I bet it really helps CD sales. LOL

  • @brown601trail My thoughts about Elvis will never change. He's an all-time great! So is Proby!!! Your CD sales comment is absolutely pathetic & of no significance at all. Everytime you come on You Tube you leave a brown trail! LOL!

  • @rontenn For somebody who likes to be Mr. Important Insider you sure can't handle the public. Letting people get under your skin and lashing back at them is no business strategy. Obviously Proby can't get anybody but amateur flunkies to work for him.

What's pathetic is how he sounds on every CD since 2000. A gimmicky microphone can't fix his failing voice, and "will power & inner strength" don't sell records. Calling him a legend doesn't make him one either. Too bad he flunked charm school.

  • @brown601trail Your constant 100% negative comments say more about you than the people you are rambling on about! You must have a very sad & boring life!!! better luck next time! LOL!

  • @rontenn If PJ Proby was anything besides a mimic and would-be star he and his two-bit staff wouldn't be badmouthing a dead icon of Rock or telling members of the public how sad and boring they are. What's even more pathetic is that none of you see the paradox in saying derogatory things about Elvis when Proby's been trying to ride the Elvis wave since 1964. With all his Elvis stories, covers, fake demos, and tribute shows Proby and his promoters must have very sad & boring lives!!! LOL

  • @metrozapjoe Sad & boring!! far from it!! Sad & boring is something I associate with you!! LOL! Proby is a character as well as a brilliant singer! he has always spoke his mind!! Elvis on the other hand was also a brilliant singer but off-stage quite boring!! Only came out of his shell when in the company of his "yes" men....sorry! I meant to say his buddies!!

  • @rontenn So you spent a lot of time with Elvis did you? He took care of business and gave his fans what they wanted. If you call that boring maybe you think he should have spent his life making up cheap stories about Buddy Holly? Or maybe he should have whined constantly to his fans about not being offered movie roles with Oscar potential. How about if he decided he was due a government check every month to supplement his other income? Would you think he was an exciting character then?

  • @metrozapjoe Don't you get fed up of spouting such rubbish! Elvis was a king......but the world has always had more than one King. King Proby is one of them! Accept it or not....who cares what you think saddo!

  • @rontenn Elvis is The King because (as Roy Orbison said) he was the firstest with the mostest. He created a sound/look/style combination that's recognized worldwide.

What is PJ Proby king of and what did he create? He had a few UK hits in the mid 60's and is remembered for splitting his pants, mimicking other singers and recording covers. A few people may think his voice was "superior" but nobody else cares. If it was a voice competition we would've never heard of Dylan or Springsteen.

  • @brown601trail His voice IS superior & many people know that & care! So singing isn't about the quality of voice in your lowly opinion! When did you fall on your head? By the way....Dylan & Springsteen! both crap in my opinion but I have no intention of watching & commenting about their YouTube clips as their "music" does not interest me at all! Proby's music doesn't interest you but you're still here sniffing around like a dirty stray dog!! You should be put down! LOL!

  • @rontenn Maybe you don't post comments on Dylan and Springsteen videos but you've posted plenty of crap on Elvis videos. What makes you think you're a voice expert? Did Proby anoint you? LOL If so many people care about voice quality I guess they don't think much of PJ Proby's voice - he hasn't had a hit anywhere since the 60's.

  • @brown601trail. Voilà !! Your problem exactly summed up in your sloppy answer!!! You are a fan of quantity NOT quality!! Plenty of quality singers have not had a hit for decades.......hit parades are for silly teenagers! Are you one? Perhaps in your wrinkly old backward head you are!! LOL!.... GROW UP!

  • @rontenn You're the one who said that "many people" know & care, not me. Did you change your mind or did you mean they care but not enough to buy? Proby's biggest UK chart hit was Hold Me. Was that a prime example of his "superior" voice? It sounds more like a "silly teenager" singing for "silly teenagers" than something that appealed to the adult contemporary set. A course in public relations would help you maintain focus and avoid contradicting your own points.

  • @brown601trail "Hold Me" was a giant hit 48 years ago & it's still bugging you! It's a great example of a song Elvis could never have done in a million years. There many songs recorded by P.J. that Elvis could never have managed but not one Elvis song out there that P.J. cannot equal or do even better! Dat's mah boy!!

You're very sharp aren't you? NOT! Yes! it was ME that said " many people know that & care" when I referred to P.J.'s superior voice.

  • @rontenn No, it's not "still bugging" me. Fact is no one here ever heard of Proby's "Hold Me" 48 years ago. LOL! First time I heard it was on youtube. First time I heard of PJ Proby was on youtube and that was because so many Proby videos mention Elvis in the description or tags. Proby should thank Elvis for running up the views on his videos.

  • @brown601trail Elvis (if drugs had not have killed him) should be saying "Thanks P.J. for all the demo's you did for me that I could copy note for note!,it helped towards my success!" "Here" I assume is America.......just one country in hundreds where you can sell records.Certainly not the be all & end all of everything musical. In fact Americans think the world revolves around them in all matters! IT DOESN'T!!

  • @rontenn America was where the biggest sales were. Ask McCartney.

For somebody who never met Elvis you like saying what was in his head don't you? PJ Proby's version of Somewhere and Maria didn't sell in the US. If Elvis was like the rest of us he was thinking "West Side Story - AGAIN??!" A Proby bootlicker calling Elvis a "yes man" is a real hoot.

So Proby's only doing new stuff and won't be doing any more Elvis songs? After hearing his "Love Me" on youtube I'd say that's a smart move. LOL

  • @brown601trail. Biggest sales in America!,that's true but once again it's quantity that counts in the U.S. not quality! Proby was, is the only singer ever to have gotten the two best songs from "West Side Story" into the charts.Elvis would probably have had a hit with them in the U.S. in 1964/65 as at the time he was just about reaching the top 20 with film title songs. He did have a U.K. No. 1 with "Crying In The Chapel" in '65 but that was a quality old recording they dug up. He who dares!

  • @Christopher2584

    Better than Elvis.....YES,

  • @Christopher2584

Vocally Jim was superior to Elvis. He was more versatile, and he dared to ventured into 60's poprock, while Elvis never got as far as soul.

But Elvis was the ideal son in law, and Jim never was.

  • happy birthday, PJ --- wherever you are!

  • He is just awesome! He is definitely equal to Elvis any day. Just Magnificent!

  • The Second Song On This Video "World"

In My Opinion is The Best Performance of this Song By This Amazing & Versatile Artist

    P.J. Has an Unsurpassed Range

His Best Ability is He Can & Does Act out His Songs

That is what makes him stand out from the Rest.

    Like Elvis "The Ultimate Singer/Showman"

    Roy "The Voice"

But Neither Could Do What P.J. Does "Act The Song"

    Long Live Rock n Roll

    The Forever TeddyBoy

  • This is a "northern soul" classic & deservedly so!! What a song & what a voice! And furthermore P.J. is still going strong! Ron

  • i think he's hipnotized by the size of PJ Brody's package. I think he has a hernia

  • shoot the camaraman at 2:45!!

  • 2:50-3:00

We'll forgive the cameraman because this song is so powerful that he became overcome by this presentation just as I am

  • Thats a singer with a great voice.. >Love you P.J.

  • He's just wonderful. he can sing anything, a true original !

  • The dancing girls are TOP!

    And so is the song..

  • this is my absolute favourite. He is the best

  • WOW, love this but never knew that there was a 'video' for it. Thanks.

  • i love this. pluse that guy rminds me of me

  • awesome performer that hardly anyone speaks about--fantastic voice--thanks for posting ,but those chicks were a distraction--mind you-that was the fashion then-they were not dancing outfits--thanks again for posting this rare piece of archive-

  • Was he sued by the Supremes for totally ripping off one of their songs?

  • I understand he worked with Led Zep on his Three Week Hero album. He reminds me of a cabaret singer, but hey if thats what you like, fine. I like the dancing girls during the first number, hubba hubba.

  • your the bloody pissed druggie if thats your opinion grabar.

TRY GETTING YOUR FACTS RIGHT.. ASS HOLE

  • You need help.

  • Then again, he looks like Charles Manson. Manson was a musician, and had connections with the Beach Boys. If Manson would have had a better attirude and pushed and worked harder, this could have been how his life turned out.

  • He looks a lot like Tom Savini.

  • I've been a P.J. Proby convert since 1977, that's nearly 31 years and this is my pledge to P.J. I'm here to stay through thick or thin, for better or for worse. I will remain loyal to you and your music.

KEEP SINGING P.J. and KEEP SMILING TOO.

  • What fabulous memorys this video brings back. I have been a huge fan since 1963. I don't know how or where you people find these old clips to post - but I'm thankful you do. Here's to posting all you can find. CHEERS

  • Jim is the BEST!! AKA P J Proby he deserved to have much more accolades than he got.He can do Elvis but could Elvis match him?.Na.Thank you for posting this. I agree that he is the greatest ever.Such feeling and soul and diversity. Come to NZ Jim. you are loved!!!!!!!!!!

  • GREATEST EVER SINGER !!!!!!!!!!!

long live the legend...MR PJ PROBY

  • Thanks for posting, it is always interesting to see the many faces of Mr. Proby.

  • My all time favourite singer and song What a treat Thank You

  • keep em coming excellant pjp footage 2 great songs here thank you very much

  • Here you see the magnificent Proby at his best! The voice, the face, the charisma - who can touch him? One of music`s tragedies is that he was pushed underfoot just as he reached the top. What was wrong with his world? Selfish, corrupt, heartless people who smiled at him whilst pushing the knife in...

Stick with us Jimmy boy - we love you and your magical voice. It`s there loss now not yours - you belong to your fans and to God and neither will let you down!

  • Stupendous. One of the best live clips I've ever seen of anyone.
