  • awsome sleds my whole family rides arctic cats i ride a 07 f5 we also have 2 t660 turbos, a 01 zr 800, a jag 440, a 77 jag 2000 and a 120

  • check out my zr 900 mod!

  • @sledneck2xtreme What Mods you done to her?

  • @sledneck2xtreme Now I see, all stock motor with track mod to 136" =)

  • wow! awesome sleds man!!! i just bought a F5 Firecat! cant wait to go sleding this winter!

  • @jdples Yep, What year? I'm sure you'll love it. My son has the 05 F7 and it goes well. He also has the 02 ZR 600 too.

  • @CosmikDebrisFZ sweet! yeah mine its '04! i was actually looking for a zr but got a good deal on the f5 so i went thru with it instead of the zr. theyr all good sleds anyways!!

  • @jdples Yep, That's why my son kept his ZR 600 after he picked up his F7. He likes them both for different reasons.

  • you dont go trail can u go race can lol

  • @56snowmobiler1 Been there done that. They're cracking down on loud pipes in my area with fines. Never had a problem with the trail can so far and it still has a nice growl to her not to mention the weight reduction.

  • i really do want a firecat bur i dont want to get rid off my zr because it was originally my dads and i dont have money, maybe i'll mod it a little

  • @FreightlinerTrukinCl Yep, My son has the F7 and the green ZR 600. He likes both sleds. I have the black ZR 900. What size is your ZR?

  • @CosmikDebrisFZ Its a 99' 600 efi, brand new stator and pratically a brand new clutch, i know she moves but i dont want to go full throttle and risk something happening

  • @CosmikDebrisFZ mine is a 99' 600 efi and my dads new one is an 02' 800 cross country, mine has a brand new stator and practically and brand new clutch

  • @FreightlinerTrukinCl Yep, I bought my son a 98 ZR 600 EFI for Christmas when he was 12, he's 23 now. Was a good sled, expecially for a 12 year old, lol... At that time I had a 99 ZRT 600 triple with triple pipes.

  • ya, i had a 99 yamaha 600 triple, with bender triple pipes, and stingers, pritty loud. but this 03 is the fastest sled ive driven, I road a 08 800 skidoo, and the ride sucks and is not as fast.

I through on a D&D ceramic coated single pipe, D&D power breather, gutted box, mild porting, when I freshen up the top end, both clutches are done, and just have to get the VF3 reeds. change jets, and she gona be hard to beat. 165hp to 168hp is pritty healthy I think.

What have you done to yours?

  • hey, nice looken sleds, I had the 02 zr600 also, I have the 03 zr9, with a few mods, shes fast a hell. I see you have the mbrp trail can, how long have you had it on , and any problems with it.

  • @02mp9696 Oh ya! The 03 ZR 900 is the best year for that model. I put the MBRP can on it right after the break in period was up or so. Only had a few hundred miles on her. No problems. Yes the trail can and not the race can. It's not as loud but has a nice growl to it. I had the race version on my 99 ZRT 600 and it was loud as hell. The 05 F7 and the 02 ZR 600 is my son's sled.

  • wow wow wow i've actually never seen an 03 zr 900. looks fuckin sweet! almost identical to the 03 F7, except it has a higher center of gravity ;)

  • @stairwaytoheaven7729 Ya they have the motor tilted back and low in the F7's. My son has the 05 F7.

  • nice sled!!

  • @Thedevee123 Thanx =)

  • Nice, thanks for the info bro! Gonna grab that rocketship...A friend of mine used to have one, and he'd usually lift the skis when he passed me...Badass

  • @tbracken02806 You'll love it I'm sure. They sure do Rip up the bush, lol.. They handle very well through the twisty trails too. The video I have of my speedo view, I'm attacking corners at 70-80mph+ then pin it on the straights, lol. They're not very sharp corners but for that speed it's not a cake walk either. I just took some more video the other day on that trail and actually sunk the speedo even more, lol.... I'll upload it at some point. My son and I were out ripping up the trails that day

  • Nice...I'm thinkin about getting a '04 ZR 900 myself. 5,000 mi @ $3,400...Too much?

Also, whats up witht the studs on the outside?...Everyone I talk to says that rips up yer track! I've only been riding for 2 yrs though, so I'm still learning.

  • @tbracken02806 Hey, If you can get the 03 ZR 900. That is the fastest and quickest year model. The diamond drive model year slowed them down a bit but they are still fast.

The studs on the outside help with high speed cornering. As long as you have enough picks for your rated horse power and riding style you will be fine. Not enough picks will put stress on them and will break and or pull through your track.

  • what does this have for a can?

  • @npredrider MBRP trail version. She has a nice growl to her without the decibles. Trying not to grow attention to myself with a fine for loud pipes. My previous sled (99 ZRT) had MBRP race can and it is frikin loud. I sold that sled to a friend and you can hear him coming a mile away, lol...

  • @CosmikDebrisFZ haha, I have a 96 zrt 600 right now goes pretty good but need something newer, Im going to pick up a 04' zr 900

  • @npredrider Oh ya, I had the 99 ZRT 600 before this 03 ZR 900. If you can, try to get the 03 ZR 900. It's the fastest and quickest year of the ZR 900.

  • @CosmikDebrisFZ Well one of the dealers in Maine has a 2004 zr 900 2750 miles $3200, and then another dealer has a 03 zr 900 for $3400 with 4,389 miles.

  • @npredrider Craigslist has a few of them. Any year ZR 900 is fast but the 03 is the Speed Demon of that model. I'm sure you'll be very happy with any year. They're wicked fast and handle so much better than a triple through the twisty trails.

  • i miss the zrs and firecats

  • @13craj Ya I hear ya. Bought my ZR 900 new in 03 and will hang on to her.

  • 128 track?

  • @Reverseflush 121 x 15 with 168 carbide tip light weight studs.

  • @CosmikDebrisFZ

    Can I have it?

    I can give you "I owe you's"

  • @Reverseflush LOL, I have a ton of them already offered not to mention trades and cash offers. The 03 ZR 900 was the best year for that model. Fastest, quickest ect. I'll get a new sled someday but will probably still hang on to this one too, but as they say, every man has his price, lol.. =)

  • @Reverseflush

I will literally write out 10,000 "I Owe You"'s AND

I can also cut out from newspapers and magazines "K's" and "G's"

  • @Reverseflush Well at least your in the ballpark now, lol.. The shrowroom price tag when I purchased this new was $10,000 and then add all the modifications I've done you've got well over 10 grand by far.

  • @CosmikDebrisFZ

Put a GoPro cam on it..but don't use music..I want to hear it

  • @Reverseflush There's a section in this video of it growling, lol. Have a few other videos of her going to. Will be uploading some more.

  • @CosmikDebrisFZ

No no no NO! I mean put an onboard HD cam on.

BTW you refer to it as "Her"..aww

  • @Reverseflush Dont have a GoPro cam but I can connect the HD one I have to my machine. My next ride I will take some various on board footage. =)

  • @CosmikDebrisFZ

That's sounds good. Look forward to it!

Oh hey BTW, how about attaching the cam to your bed during a slam sesh with your girl just kidding but

people really do love watching people doing it.

  • @Reverseflush LMAO! I hear ya buddy. You first though, lol... =)

  • @CosmikDebrisFZ

Oh, you wouldn't want to see that, my girl is a 350 pounder, I can barely get it in.

    How about I make a video of her exercising? Here's the link ;

    youtube.com/watch?v=4zLXebYPocU

  • @Reverseflush LMFAO! I want to get some video of her on my Speed Demon ZR 900. Man that just made my day. Suddenly I'm feeling beautiful. Guess I can disemble my rope noose now, lol.....

  • Thats a new sled my dad has the same one .. nice riding machine also

  • @02subarukid Yep, I'm sure your dad loves his. They're fast and handle nice through the twisties.

  • thats one nice machine man

  • @BrodyW88 Thanx man.

  • what is your top speed on your zr 900?

  • @04Snopro440 Not sure. My stock speedo only goes to 100Mph and she goes by that easily and quite quickly, specially on hard packed snow or ice where you get good traction.

  • are trail cans illegal on trails in ny state because im thinkin about buying one

  • @56sledneck I'm not sure about NY. I think it is illegal to alter your exaust in any way at all. The trail can is just a little more tame but has a nice growl to it along with a big weight savings. I had the race version on my ZRT 600 and was very loud with that triple going through it, lol... You probably would be fine with the trail version.

  • I raced my brother 2 days ago. Hes got a 04 zr900. Stock with 144 picks. I have a 06 F7 with 104 studs. . He beat me from stem to sturn. Not by alot. but 3 races he got me off the line and was pulling away.

  • @acemaster1001 Hmmm, that's weird. You should take him a little in the first few hundred feet or so. Especially the 04 ZR 900. that was the year of there diamond drive which slowed the sled down a little. The 2003 ZR 900 is the fastest and quickest year made. I'm not sure but I think the 03 F7 was the fastest also.

However I did tie for first place a F7 at out local radar run 2 years ago but I was told he had no studs at all, so he would of beat me easily. The strip was snow but studs helped

  • @CosmikDebrisFZ . Were thinking his sled has some sort of a clutch kit in it. Its got different springs then stock. Im not sure about weights.

  • @acemaster1001 Probably clutched. You could adjust your track skid and put more track pressure. That'll give you a better bite with less friction on your skis. Of course it takes away from your steering, lol.. You just have to find a happy medium.

  • Fuck shit is so much cheaper in the states up here in canada you wouldnt get that f7 for under 4500 used and everyone wonders why we go down there to buy stuff.

    WHY

  • @epert1010 Ya used machines run pretty cheap down here. It's a nice machine and EFI too. In my area there's a 2004 ZR 900 Sno Pro with 2800 miles for sale for $2500. I have the 2003 ZR 900 and in ran for $10,000 new. Truly amazing used prices here. Thanx for your comment.

  • my 03 f7 LE well keep up 2 this 900 any day

  • 03 F7 is the fastest year as is the 03 ZR 900. You would be able to keep up in the short run and maybe even be a sled length ahead for the first few hundred feet.

I will then pass you and leave you behind. So far in my experiences with the F7's that is what the outcome has been.

  • @CosmikDebrisFZ love it!! no replacement for displacement!!

  • @bookertbrown You got that right. :~)

  • nice sled very clean

  • ya do tell. is that 900 alot faster then the F7. i know 03 was the best years for the Zr900 and the F7.

  • I did a radar run in my home town and tied for 1st. The other sled was a 03 Firecat F7. I believe I had a good line on the track and got lucky cause the F7 should beat me in the short run anyhow.

As far as fastest goes, The ZR 900 will be faster on the long run.

This machine blows past the 100 MPH speedo quite quickly and easily.

  • ya my uncle ahd the exact same sled. he bought it bran new. Those things are insaine for a stock sled. Noting would touch his sled

  • Yep, I also purchased this new. I have tried other sleds including some 4 strokes but still like my ZR 900 the best.

That's why I still have it and keep it in pristine condition.

My next sled may be a 4 stroke now that they got them to go quite fast. I just dont know if I can ever part with my ZR 900.

  • Make a vid of you pulling catwalks on that f7 cause I'm interested in buying one now if you will make a vid tell me you will and I'll subcribe

  • The F7 is my sons sled. I do have a short clip of him fooling around on it. I'm sure you would be happy with a F7.

Just search for " F7 catwalk " There are plenty of videos on here with people doing them. Thanx for your interest..

  • I want to get a f7 like that but does it pull catwalks cause I want a sled that does that and I wanted to say my dads got a 98 arctic cat pantera 800 and it's got a tripple in it instaed of a double like yours and man that thing is scary lol

  • You would love the F7. My sons F7 is quite snappy. Cat walks are not a problem, just stud the ol track up to get a good bite.

I had a ZRT triple too and yes they were good in there day. However, the big bore twins rip up the trail, are very fast, handle better and sip the fuel compared to the big triples.

Check out my other videos, there are pics of my ZRT triple too.

  • How much does a zr 900 like yours go for?

  • Well when I purchased this brand new, and with the Mods and all the extras it went for well over $10,000.

However, My friend owns the Cat shop in town and I have purchased 4 sleds and two enclosed trailers and tons of Mods, extras ect. for the machines so he takes very good care of me price wise.

  • How does the F7 stand up to your 900?

  • He just got it a couple of months ago, so we have yet to test her out. I did a radar run in my home town and tied for 1st. The other sled was a F7. I believe I had a good line on the track and got lucky cause the F7 should beat me in the short run anyhow.
