  • i was just on peavey's website looking at both the 6505 and 6505+ and it confused me how there is no volume vontrols on the amp and that concerned me because i want to buy the 6505+ buti don't know how the volume works would someone mind telling me?

  • @Metallicafan130 Post is the volume Pre is the Gain :-)

  • @TaorRanger haha thanks man

  • Christ on a bike, just wow. 10/10 for the playing man and just to solve you're noise problem, get a voodoo labs power supply. It's around £150.00 if your lucky and It has all isolated power outputs so it has no noise, can power 8 x 9v, 12v, 14v or 4 x 18v. Also just wanna say, good luck with your band \m/

  • Dude, leave the cocaine.

  • i love how all these dudes talk shit ... the dude is rippin and is obviously not just a average player ... go figure haters gonna hate

  • You've got a tuner down there.USE IT!!!

  • World class playing dude!

  • a couple questions,

what speakers are in your cab?

and did you say youre running the tube screamer through your effects loop or what?

  • @skylercaoua He's running the tube screamer before the amp. So no, not in the loop.

  • What chorus pedal do you have ?

  • what pedal board do you use ? :)

  • @guitarboii1 I built it myself.

  • @ironhamster88 ahh okay i thought it was branded one, good job on it btw :)

  • gosh, use that damn pinky!!

  • 7:52 - look at the monkey hahahahhaa

  • Amazing skill dude. Please pull a different face.

  • I thought this video would be some kid chugging death metal, BUT I was dead wrong. You have the BEST TONE EVER!!

  • @googaboogaloo Thanks dude.

  • Someone hates his pinky....

  • @andrewsfury I don't know what it is either but that's no reason to be scared. The only two things I can think of would be a random box set on the amp for convenience, or a power attenuator so it can be cranked at bedroom levels.

  • @TheFunnyzach It's actually just an power extension lead box. Got the power lead for my amp and the power lead for my board plugged into it. Saves me running power leads all over the place.

  • what is the white thing on the top of the amp?

i want this amp bad but the white box is scaring me.

  • @andrewsfury It's just an power extension lead box. Got the power lead for my amp and the power lead for my board plugged into it. Saves me running power leads all over the place.

  • Sounds wicked might have to get one now just to get my metal fix

  • Killer Dude...Very Nice! \m/

  • That was badass sir! Mad skillz!

  • 6:39 onwards is pretty fuckin awesome! :D

  • Why do I hear a string out of tune... It's my personal problem. Great playing, nice amp :3

  • 1st review of this amp I've seen where the reviewer can actually play. Nice review.

  • @MrTeleMan1969 thanks.

  • this video convinced me to give the 6505's a go, ended up going for the 6505+ and have never even thought about going back. truly a remarkable amp, and excellent video dude.

  • the guitars for our new single were recorded with a peavey 6505 :)

  • Chorus goes to the end of the effects loop, bro bro

  • nice playing dude!

  • that poor pinky...

  • What is your shit dialed too for gain man!

  • @ibanezplayer76 Only 6. The TubeScreamer pedal boosts it to give more sustain.

  • Great playing man

  • nice playing and better amp , keep it up \m/!

  • 666 likes \m/

  • Ordered the 6505+ yesterday along with a tubescreamer. I'm currently playing through a jvm and love it but it just doesn't have quite the bottom end I would like. Hello 6505+!!!!

  • @jessxcr Just got 6505+ too. I use it with the VHT cab (not the chinese one).

  • I love your sound !!! looking into getting the same amp .... just not sure what cab to pair it up with ..... any suggestions ?

  • @JOETIBBS83 Marshall all the way.

  • amazing tone... what are the settings in the delay and tubescreamer? im simply a fan of this tone!

  • @nunofrg TubeScreamer: volume: 10, Tone: 5, Gain: 5. Delay - as much as you want to use.

  • Johnny Rotten ! FTW

  • 6:49 - 7:07

    Tabs Please :D

  • @elementos94 Tutorial on my channel.

  • hey friend great player, you are good-continued, you ar on the road

  • How do you get such a great tone at such low volume?

I know about power attenuators, but I've read that they suck a lot of tone.

  • @lmeddick Unfortunately this was not at low volume. It shakes the windows. I had to put the camera a fair distance from the amp to pick up my voice and not distort when I played. This amp is very difficult to play quietly.

  • I've got to agree that the 6505 is probably one of the best heads I've ever heard!

  • holy crabs thats awsome 5:53 awsome.

how long have yopu been playing for?

  • @crash12512 about 8 years.

  • teeth are fucked up!!!!!!!!!!

  • Wicked playing ,,, amp sounds awesome too

  • Hey mate, awesome playing. you think this would sound good for pantera riffs?

  • awesome tone! awesome playing as well!

  • man it really sounds like the 5150 II I mean its incredible!! It sounds like it has more Gain man that fuckin kicks ass!! That sound is perfect man.

  • fuck u can shred haha. didnt seem like u played that kind of music style and then bam haha. nice vid dude. keep up the good work

  • wow what strings are you using they keep ringing forever.

  • @yoxxilja Ernie Ball 10 guage.

  • Dude, I bought that amp too - I think it's fuckin' awesome! ... but there's one problem, my band got dissolved - now the amp is @ home - and it's fuckin' loud - can you show me a way to reduce the noise?

  • @FakedAppearance THD Hotplate, match with your speakers ohms. You can reduce power and keep the full tone.

  • can you do a video on how you set up your noise suppressor?

  • What is that white box on top of the amp? That's not a Variac, or is it?

  • @UncleTito72 Nope. It's a power extension box - just got my amp power lead and my pedal board power lead plugged into it.

  • Does sound good.

  • What pickups did you use for the clean part with the chorus and delay?

  • how long have you been playing?

  • @ModernProductionss about 8 years.

  • GET YOUR SKILL DOWN

  • Dude, the 6505 sounds really gooooood! Is it noisy?

  • @richedie Very. I had to get a Boss noise suppressor.

  • Dude what's the last two pedals you used? I really liked the sound of them , nice vid btw

  • @201ojose Boss DD3 Delay and an Ibanez Tube Screamer.

  • Woah, easy there Yngwie Buckethead! My Face is blistering... Lol, nice work, cool setup too. I gotta do some upgrades... I've got an Ibanez myself, best guitar I have ever owned.

  • Just bought your ew album on itunes! Cheers from Germany!

  • @PhillipFry3000 Nice one dude, thanks!

  • Holy wow!!!

  • dude fucking awesome

  • great sound indeed.Technically, you're doin' very good, now expand a bit harmonically(scales, complexer chords,....and your gonna be a VERY good player.

  • british accents make me giggle

  • nice tone man and nice playing too

  • Very nice tone and playing! I own a 5150 II and I'm going to try your settings. Love these amps and you certainly do them justice! Also, very nice to hear a real "lead" sound with effects, OD pedal and solid lead playing!

  • 6.40 .... eargasm, sounds soo much like van halen

  • just get a bugera 6260 for a fraction of the price, and in my opinion better tone, and before people go on about reliability, it was only on early models, it has since been sorted.

  • @MRWHITE3535 i just got my bugera 6262 in the mail the other day. it sounded freaking amazing but it broke the 2nd day i had it. I'm really not sure the problem has been fixed yet since it happened to mine which was brand new out of the box about 4 days ago.

  • Peavey tube heads are awesome value for money. Im not keen on their cabs tho but i suppose thats just my taste i prefer celestion v30s in my cabs. I had a 5150 which was the same head as this when i was gigging but that went a few years ago. I recently bought my son a valveking 100 head and laney cab cos they were dirt cheap and it aint a million miles off my old 5150. Ace amps ;0)

  • cool stuff man!

  • how did you get the sustain?????

  • @Fenderobsesion High output pickups, a tube screamer and a lot of volume.

  • i fuckin love that sweep tapping you did bro :D

  • @ThatBigMetalhead Thanks! Tutorial on how to play it on my channel.

  • how much did the amp cost you?

  • @myskull54 £1100 + £450 for the cab.

  • @ironhamster88 holy crap, I've got a genz benz for less than half that price, you've got a great sounding rig though

  • Check out my cover of enter sandman and many other covers on this amp :) /watch?v=HJ5gtPnWQho

  • Blues with a bit Gilbert on Top :D powered by 6505 :) well done!

Mysefl did a Metal Test over Peavey 6505:

/watch?v=ki2E4sZlEHk IT does the job well!

  • holy shit, that amp is amazing. thats pretty much the distorted tone im looking for. how much did that beast run u?

  • @drummerdudeperson You can get this head for like 600-800 used. One of the best deals ever

  • @drummerdudeperson £1100 for the head, £450 for the cab.

  • You're right dude that is the perfect tone! And it wont cost you nearly as much as an orange mesa or marshall.

  • Great video mate, nice playing....the sustain part almost went into Spinal Tap territory :p Rock on!

  • lol its a metal version of neil from the inbetweeners!

  • we recorded on peavey 6505, listen what we got /watch?v=rkYILNuIXqY

  • kk i'll be sure to ask XD

  • @TouchMyZoltan you're not a fucking instructor at MI you prick, you can't even spell correctly you IGNORANT (not ignerent) shitstain. by the looks of your fucking grammar and spelling, you either didn't or BARELY got through grade school. have a nice day, cunt.

  • you play so f**** great man!! XD

  • noticed you had the dd-3, I have the dd-6

  • how many years had you been playing guitar before you could play no boundries as good as you video, 5 6 ?

  • Hey you can play left handed as good as you can right wow, seen your banjo clip, are you amadestric ?

  • @UKToneKing Fraid' not dude. I recorded all these vids on a camcorder and the banjo one through the webcam on my mac which mirrored the video - can't play left handed worth shit :-(

  • @ironhamster88 how many years had u played before u nailed no boundaries ?

  • the keeley tube sreamers are like £250, do U think they are better than the ibanez, it gets them electric tones I like

  • were abouts are you from mate, you sound like a londoner, I have the new hot rod deluxe, which I am really pleased with, cleans are amazing, thinking of getting a silverface deluxe reverb to, I just got the boss dd-6 delay which freaking rocks, love my cleans, but like grunt as well now and then, so use an mxr full bore metal and zak wylde overdrive. how much did U ruffle pay for an amp like that man, was it new or used ?

  • hi guys alright UMM

  • Holy shit nice tone but u r an amzing guitarist. 42 people need to keep creaming over there tone

  • Starting at 6:03. Riff is from where?

  • @reaperc89 I think it's Motley Crue's Wild Side

  • I have an opportunity to pick one of these up tomorrow...The combo for 700....But I'm leaning more toward an Egnater TOL100..But this is killer tone though...absolutely amazing playing as well. My lead guitarist however might still pick up the 6505 since he has been drooling over this and the 5150 for ever.

  • you can start thinking about refretting :P

  • theres no way, this has to be fake...

  • great video! Great playing!

  • Peavey should endorse this guy.

  • YO DAWN I HEARD YOU LIKE GUITARS SO WE PUT A GUITAR IN YOUR GUITAR AND NOW YOU CAN PLAY WHILE SNAPES KILLS DUMBLEDORE

  • did you crank the amps you tried.?

  • @tburn66 Yep - I tried them all in a soundproof room so I cranked them to hell. I play live a lot, so if it doesn't sound good cranked up, I'm not interested in it.

  • omg thats some amazing guitar playing.

  • So... Neville longbottom can play guitar?

  • dude your fuckign sick at guitar! keep at it!

  • Yeah brotha, that is some nice chunky beef stew tone on the clean and the lead channel with the tube screamer is sahweet! I actually prefer a Dan-Electro Daddy-O overdrive in my signal chain instead of a Tube Screamer but then again I'm playing through a Mesa Boogie so I don't know what it would sound like if I were to play through the Peavey. Nice tones, real nice tones.

  • lol eric clapton's rebelious son! but seriously good video great playing i just bot one

  • no offence but thats not sustain, thats feedback, sustain is when u can still hear the note 5 mins later

  • @TouchMyZoltan U dumb sonofabitch, if feedback causes the note to ring out for 5 mins then it has sustain in the feedback and that's what carry's the note, feedback can have sustain in it, you need a note to be blayed to get sustain, you don't to get feedback.

  • @UKToneKing dont fuckin tell me what sustsain is u ignerent jerk, im a guitar instructer at musicians institute, and have been for 20 years, and ur a younge little cockwadd

  • @TouchMyZoltan If you're actually an instructor at MI, I will never, ever attend.

  • @kaosxrocker lol why would i give a shit

  • @TouchMyZoltan I'm 33 thanks, great to hear you have 20 years of experience under your belt, shame U did not put it to good use wile listening to pieces of music man, then U would not get confused about what sustain was, , , if U get stuck again I am always hear to help u out, nowt's a bother, have a nice day.

  • no offence but thats not sustain, thats feedback

  • You could probably play on a completely shitty amp and still sound good WTFC.

  • Damn dude you fucking shred

  • Bugera 6262 is way better. 6505+ need a bias mod. The 6262 has a hotter bias and had a better low end and clean channel. For half the price. Both have dirt factory tubes.

  • i was blown away by this performance. brilliance, just brilliance everywhere, on everything. I just purchased a 6505 with the cabinet about a few weeks ago and have been wondering what to do with it in terms of where i want my sound to go. i almost cried when i saw this video. i now know the power of this equipment, and i am in debt to make it sing as you sir have done before our eyes today... unfortunately i have quite some practicing ahead of me...

  • @Shafestis any more of your life story u wanna tell us?

  • Dude thats pretty good... one thing though... keep your tongue inside your mouth when your playing? ... its way cooler.....

  • how long have u been playing?

  • i tried this in guitarcenter yesterday and it sounded like total crap. i was really pissed cause i really wanted to buy it. i also had it at like a whisper volume, so thats probly why.

  • @ThePleaoftheforsaken it probably was your playing that sounded crap not the amp, any head over 1000 will sound fcking awsome

  • @UKToneKing nahh, i can play alot better than i have on my channel i just dont know alot of full songs, so thats y i dont post them, but anyway, i just figure its cause the volume was at like haalf of 1 (like literally whisper volume) , and i didnt really know how to set it up.... yor still much better than me but

    im not bad...

  • you is fucking good man!

  • howd you record this? i didnt see any mics infront of the cab... if its the camera then what kinda camera did u use?

  • @pizzapit2 Just the mic on the video camera.

  • Does this one go to 11?

  • This thing is the best amp I've ever heard.. and this guy is like one of the most amazing guitarists i've ever heard, famous or not, holy shit.

  • @slavesbydesign Thanks dude, much appreciated.

  • This thing is the best amp I've ever heard..

  • Very nice playing :)

  • haha facebook

  • Whats with you english players and not using your pinky. holy fuck

  • The 6505+ has a metal chanell switch and has effects loop crunch and lead its a bit different and I been switching tubes around and been getting some great tones I cant even decide what tone they all have a great sound. And I have always owned peavey I got the vtm and butcher and use the rockmaster as a preamp and thats great as well peaveys are underated until recently from the 5150 line because you can chanell switch and get clean rythm and lead all in one head makes setup a bit easier.

  • have you tried an alternate power source instead of using the noise suppressor?

  • Nice playing bro this amp sounds killer! So I just gotta ask since this is basically the peavey 5150 can you get good EVH tones out of it?

  • Awesome man.

  • Something tells me you're a Paul Gilbert fan :P

  • 8:19

You could go out for a bite and still be hearing that one!

  • What do you use for recording these videos? Is it just a webcam? Or do you have a separate mic as well? I want to start making youtube videos of myself playing but i'm not sure if a webcam will have good enough quality. I hope i don't have to buy a mic too. If anyone knows anything about this, please let me know so i can start posting my own videos!

  • what pedals did you use for the clean channel? also, do you like the clean channel of the amp without any pedals?

  • You said that you have to add the delay after the overdrive, is it the same thing with the wah? I mean do you have to add the wah after the overdrive too?
