  • i'm learning it right now, i've already read it a few times... now, after i read it, i went to listen to it from a cd i have (gershwin plays gershwin). this cd version has a little extra movement that's neither written nor recorded in other versions. i've been searching elsewhere and everything seems to match my score. i see you don't play that part either (it's just a few secs before the ending)

if you get to know anything i'd be glad to hear it from you :)

    (sorry if bad english :P)

  • My sheet music is Alicia Zizzo edited version. I know only this version. Rather I want to see your score. Thanks.

  • it's not my score but my cd version of the song,

i'll upload it later if i remind to and post it

  • There is an extra section that is missing. It's weird.

  • lol i have this on my ipod

  • A very original interp, I've never heard the middle section so fast. Well done.

I agree, this piece doesn't really fit with the other preludes. Alicia Zizzo has done a lot to bringing Gershwin's lost music back to life, but I don't agree with some of her editions. The same fourth-based tune was used in another piece for violin and piano called 'Short Story,' as was the theme from another Zizzo/Gershwin prelude, 'Rubato.' I think Gershwin himself recorded it with the violinist Samual Dushkin.
