this scene was cool but kind of came out of nowhere. maybe if voldemort and harry wouldve ended up in the castle fighting, then we see this, it wouldve made more sense. i still like it but since the directors excuse for all the cuts was "stick with harry" this just kind of felt that way. plus the lazy bums never release a directors cut of the later movies booo

@MrBurgundy76 Totally agree the problem with his emphasis on Harry was it de-contextualised the fighting and sacrifice everyone around was making. I compare it to say, the end of Return of the King (LOTR) or Return of the Jedi (Star Wars) - the most important focal point of the story is still Frodo/Luke Skywalker and their struggles but it doesn't diminish the efforts of those around them - we should have seen more of what the other students and professors were enduring FOR Harry.

The thing I would have changed in the film...would be to include more of Ginny, showing her in battle, and what a powerful witch she is. Not enough Ginny in the last film...but I guess you can't have everything...I can't wait to see the additional scenes on the upcoming DVD.

I loved this scene. They chopped down to only 30 seconds...but possibly the most powerful and important 30 seconds of the film. I loved the dialogue in the book, but it wouldn't have worked on screen...it would have come across really yappy and not as suspenseful I think. I think the director did the right thing...and left the best line in :) Go Mrs. Weasley, I LOVE YOU!
