The alcohol and tobacco lobbies made it illegal for control market. Both have single benefits.
The plant has many hundreds of uses. Paper bags can replace plastic bags decorating our roads, trees, and water. Recreation is very small percentage of the multitude of businesses the plant will create. The root has produced hundreds of medical compounds. Clothe, floor mats, rope, are the beginning of end-consumer products.. That means jobs, and no industrial waste.

Good. It is a free market economy. The difference, we can grow our own. Oil has to be processed, as does tobacco. Private citizens can make products and buy clothe or doormats.

I will contribute oxygen, while the plant grows, birdseed, and a recycling program that will work. Roots, trunk, and stems-products.

maryjane is legal in some states, california prop 215, medical license, pretty much just paying the tax. There is also one for alaska and a few other states too. Marijuana should be legalized. There is no way to overdose on pot. To overdose on it you would need to inhale more smoke then humanly possible. There is not even one documented case of this happening without other drugs also present at the same time. well first of all you have an incorrect understanding of marijuana.
anything that you burn and inhale contains carcinogens. there are many carcinogens in campfire smoke for example.
car exhaust is much more of a carcinogen than marijuana and tobacco combined, you can die from breathing in straight car exhaust. (Carbon Monoxide is found in tobacco smoke as well but much less than car exhaust)
Its impossible to say what Obama will do at this time. We'll just have to wait patiently. Whether or not pot becomes legal in the US or not, I'm staying right here in Canada. Our government isn't as corrupt, free healthcare, and on most maps, we're on top. Peace & pot, all across the globe.

The alcohol and tobacco lobbies made it illegal for control market. Both have single benefits.
The plant has many hundreds of uses. Paper bags can replace plastic bags decorating our roads, trees, and water. Recreation is very small percentage of the multitude of businesses the plant will create. The root has produced hundreds of medical compounds. Clothe, floor mats, rope, are the beginning of end-consumer products.. That means jobs, and no industrial waste.

Good. It is a free market economy. The difference, we can grow our own. Oil has to be processed, as does tobacco. Private citizens can make products and buy clothe or doormats.
They have a product they are used to supplying, it would be very hard to switch. I can not process oil, tobacco, nor alcohol in my back yard. I can plant a seed, maybe a few. I will contribute oxygen, while the plant grows, birdseed, and a recycling program that will work. Roots, trunk, and stems-products.

yes, it does matter. If obama is for legalization then the chances that a lot or at least some of the senators would come out in favor of marijuana is pretty high. The truth of the matter is, almost every single politician is simply scared of even saying marijuana or hemp; the politicians are afraid of public outcry. Public opinion has changed, though. Now is the time we finally had a serious discussion about marijuana - it's not time to laugh at the issue.

it'd be the same price if not cheaper. Most of the money you spend on pot is because you go through the middle men who in turn want to be paid for taking the legal risk. Eliminate the risk. It'd be down to one middle man, maybe, and a grower. That's it. With any luck the middle man will just be some guy behind the counter at the local drug store selling it with tobacco and alcohol.

I agree that there are many political reasons America should federally legalize pot but with the current state of things, it's not a big issue. If he gets a second term, then things like pot legalization & other detail issues will get handled. For now, it's the big issues that need presidential focus & concern.

There is no way to overdose on pot. To overdose on it you would need to inhale more smoke then humanly possible. There is not even one documented case of this happening without other drugs also present at the same time. Also since it is estimated that up to 60% of Americans have tried pot in their lifetime , you could imagine the amout of money the governmant could make by taxing it.

now, that out of the way, it isnt much worse for you then cigarettes or alcohol. hell, im pretty sure even car exhaust is carcinogenic if you breath in enough of it. people should have the right to destroy there own health and brain cells with pot just like they have the right to do it with booze or cigarettes. and cars kill 40,000 a year, why dont we ban cars?

The fact is it is good for you and it was the main ingredient in many "medicines" before it's idiotic prohibition.

if you smoke pot, without a vaporizer, then it is highly carcinogenic. although not as much as tobacco, according to the British health department.

well first of all you have an incorrect understanding of marijuana.
anything that you burn and inhale contains carcinogens. there are many carcinogens in campfire smoke for example.
car exhaust is much more of a carcinogen than marijuana and tobacco combined, you can die from breathing in straight car exhaust. (Carbon Monoxide is found in tobacco smoke as well but much less than car exhaust)
regulate, medicate, educate, and legalize it!

Its impossible to say what Obama will do at this time. We'll just have to wait patiently. Whether or not pot becomes legal in the US or not, I'm staying right here in Canada. Our government isn't as corrupt, free healthcare, and on most maps, we're on top. Peace & pot, all across the globe.

yeah, and half my friends who have done pot have dropped out of college, lost their jobs, and now live back with thier parents. instead of finishing college and becoming americas next generation of architects and engineers, they are now pot heads. its not bad enough that we have problems with alcohol and tobacco, but yet lets destroy our youth in the process. gee, why the fuck not?
