  • You did great! Thanks.

  • You are the MacGyver of spinning lol.

  • You can make an even better version by using two CDs for the whorl instead of cardboard.

  • @craftgrrl14 What a great idea!

  • awesome thank you <3

  • You rock!...thank you!

  • This is a great idea. you know how expensive they are. I am going to make mine now.

Thank you very much for sharing it:)

  • Excellent improvisation, love it. :-D

Beats the one I did with chopsticks, LOL!

  • this yideo was awesome and it really works tje only thing i did was put 2 slits across from each other like a real spindle but it was still an amazing clip thank again vanna

  • Thanks so much! This is great in a "spinning emergency" you know, we spinners are quite resourceful. I had not yet seen a spindle like yours! You might want to take the cardboard and coat with an archival art coating, for cardboard is acidic. Golden makes both gloss and matte coatings you can brush on, and it would make the cardboard firmer to last longer. I drop my spindle sometimes and it makes it stronger.

thanks for this, you spin GREAT,

  • Wow, that spindle sure spins nice and I enjoyed the video. Thank you!

  • Great idea! Even simpler than the cd spindles, and it obviously spins very well!
