and yes, if u add more rams to your system ull get massive improvements, probably gta4 on medium+high with acceptable fps.

Well... You could probably use a better GPU. But Left 4 Dead utilizes Quads, as well. So you could easily get a Quad and that'll run it very well.

.. quad core is the worst .. or 3 core ... so unstable .. better get an dual core like e7400 and OC it to like 3.6 (like mine :D) or try to use an i7 (upgraded version of quad core) still unstable for some games like crysis or games like that were made to run on single core CPU i sugest u get a 9800gt its very powerful

yea your right im not into amd axcept for graphics i have a 5850. i didnt know about the three core but quad cores are more stable than dual cores anyday i dont know what that guy is talking about and CRYSIS WAS NOT MADE TO RUN ON ONE CORE. i have and i7 920 over clocked and its 4 cores plus twelve hypercores are insanely fast. The amount of cores has nothing to do with a system being unstable. a three core system isnt unstable it just uses two like the dual core and the third when necessary.

8800 is quite a lot faster, but you might as well get a 4850 or 4870 ati as its roughly the same money and much faster than either of those cards :)

mmmm.... the thing is that the 9400GT is a low-end card, and probably that card is poor for the Core2Quad

Is not recommended for big resolutions in newer games. Just up to 1280x1024 I guess

Dude....The Athlon 64 X2 is a Dual Core Processor

The Core 2 Quad is.....you know....a QUAD Core Processor. That means that is more expensive but works the double of a Dual Core

Get the Core 2 Quad. If you can afford it

By the way, the AMD equivalent of a Quad Core is the AMD Phenom X4

Probably the change from a 8400GS to a 8600GT is not a big step. But if you REALLY dont have more money, well, go for it. :)

Dumb idea to get the 8600gt now since there a huge selection of cards that came out which are way better price/performance.

Either get HD 4650, HD 4670, or HD 4830. ATI/AMD are the best for mid range and low budget builds at the moment. Nvidia is however at the top with the high end crap which are a waste of money.

Anyway, all this people are not from the same country, , some cards are not even available in some countries (I've nevew seen a 9800GT here in Chile xD) And buying from the Internet in some places is not cheap due to Shipping charges. And really, some people CAN'T afford a better card. I always say "get a better card IF YOU CAN AFFORD A BETTER ONE, or wait a moment and save, etc. It doesnt depend on me.

Same as all previous DMC games. And also depending of the control. The official one for the game is the Xbox 360 controller, but I use PS2-like cheap control I config the mapping like DMC 3. It makes the game unconfortable if you use the keyboard.....seriously

Esta en la descripcion del video, pero es una DDR2. Ahi jugaba en 1024x576 (con bandas negras en un monitor CRT, pero juegas aspecto widescreen), puedo jugar en SUPER HIGH sin MSAA. Yo recomiendo jugar en HIGH ya que es lo mismo y juegas asi con 60 FPS

En el Frame Rate no me gusta el VARIABLE porque Nero al correr tiene lag cuando los FPS estan bajo 50. Yo uso MAX 60 FPS. Asi el juego se ve mas suave. Sin VSYNC

Asi empece yo...el dinero me alcanzaba para una 8600GT y veía los juegos que usaban esta tarjeta. Yo diría que tiene buen rendimiento y se aguanta los juegos nuevos. Si no te alcanza para más, la 8600GT es buena opcion, eso si, no conosco la diferencia entre marcas. En todo caso, esta es XFX, que es de las de calidad

Si, las escenas del bosque son uy demandantes.

Reduce todo a HIGH a ver si apalea un poco la cosa, los graficos no cambian casi nada.

Me imagino que tienes el MSAA en NONE y el Frame Rate en 60 MAX...sacale el Vsync tambien, con eso el juego carga mas rapido ;).

La resolucion tambien juega bastante aqui, you uso 1024x576 en mi CRT.

El juego me lo termine hace ya un rato, las zonas de bosque son las unicas que te ralentizan el juego, despues todo fluido de nuevo
