Hey alishamao just getting into rc racing here and i have decided to make Redcat my first one.Having a heck of a time deciding between electric or nitro...plan on racing at my local track.Like the 1/8 backdraft and the aftershock but run time is only 10min?If i add a 4 or 5s lipo can they handle it and would it help the run time?And would i have to upgrade the ecs?If i go nitro i may get the hurricane xtr.These look like excellent cars and cant wait too get one.Great videos your a good saleman:)

@kreeves1964 you will need to upgrade ESC and motor if you wanna use twin 4S or 6S setup else with stock setup you can try to get 6000mAh 7.4v batteries and try, that will give you added speed and more run time.

@alishanmao Thank you for the reply,but i actually ended up buying the backdraft 3.5 nitro.Gonna be my first nitro car so im really excited to get it.Gonna use it for bashing,but i also plan to race it at my local track in competion..so ill let ya know how i make out.Gonna race it stock for awhile to see how it stands up to the others...if i need to upgrade engine later i will...but for now i cant wait to get this in my hands!!! :)....Your videos were what made me go with redcat racing :)

@kreeves1964 if this isnt to late, go traxxas,its cheaper, more durable and water proof, i racommend the rustler, its about $175 for the brushed, and $280 for the brushless, but start off with the brushed because its alittle slower and better for begginers, hope this helps, happy driving

@XzreflexX42 traxxas is the way to go, parts are easily available and customer service is great. All hobby shops have them and rustys are always good. However if you have the extra money, the vxl is the way to go. the stock titan 12 turn motor will die as any other brushed motor will.Oh also traxxas is water proof! Definitely buy traxxas!

@XzreflexX42 it is a good first car,parts are easy to find, and the most expensive fix would probbably be a $45 speed control, but that doesnt seem expensive as hell, get the rustler, its one of the best begginer cars you can get, and later you can upgrade it to the traxxas brushless system for about $150

@XzreflexX42 the rustler is a great first car. i've got two XL5 stampedes and an XL5 rustler which i beat mercilessly and from experience i can honestly say that repairs are NOT expensive, most of the parts that break during full speed accidents (steering pins, castor blocks, camber links etc.) are pretty cheap and more importantly very easy to find in stock at your local hobby shop (and/or pep boys if you have them in the area where you live).

@mysteryimpt hey bro the best thing i can tell you is to go with another company,redcats are talked up alot more than they really are, good brands to look into are HPI,Traxxas,team losi ive owned many trucks from all three companies and raced them over the years and have proven themselves to be alot more durable than redcats my friend baught a aftershock and was really excited about it until he ran it and a simple roll over at 10mph shouldnt have ripped the back body posts out, hope this helped
