Why does everyone live on a farm? Frodo Baggins lived in a highly farming community, Eragon lived on his uncle's farm, Taran lived on a farm (sort of?), that main girl from Quest for Camelot lived on a farmish place, and now this girl from The Naming. Why are there so many farms?!

Woo! Go X-Men! I like the animated cartoon X-Men: Evolution better than the live-action movies, I think, since I grew up with the show.

YES FINALLY! My sentiments exactly about the who must-have-the-entire-series thing. I didnt like the first book in the Mortal Instruments series (despite all the rave reviews it got) but I still went on and tried the second book 'cos I feel like I should just finish the damn thing. LOL! My friends think I'm weird, but the books would look weird by itself on the shelf, right? =P

But I also thought after reading City of Bones, "Okay, there is no way it can get any worse." and tried the second book. I really liked the idea and setting but some plot twists and the main character really got on my nerves. I recommend The Infernal Devices series instead. A much better version of the same "story". =P

The Books of Pellinor is one of my favorite series. It is extremely well thought out and I'm a sucker for books about "the Chosen One." I also like that there are instances of romance but the plot does not revolve around relationships.
Guards Guards and Moving Pictures were the first two Terry Pratchett books I read, my Dad bought them for me when I was silly young and I still have the paperbacks he got me, which would seem to be 19 years old!!! God thats a bit of a shock :S Guards Guards is still my favourite of all his books though and a better place to start than Colour Of Magic as COM is not his best.
Great Haul, have been interested in The Night Circus as well, when I get through with Game Of Thrones may have a look :)
