  • What this guy said, was right on the dot, about remakes.

  • I Can Still Here "Boom Boom Washington" In His Voice. "Hi There" :-)

  • He looks good enough to eat! YUM!

  • Welcome back, you Son of a Bitch.

  • He was great in "The Jacksons'" movie. Still looks the same...lol.

  • The only way to do a reunion is like Freddie BOOM BOOM Washington said, have all of them there talking about it. To have then do a movie in character would be pretty stale, like asking a 1960's singer who hasn't sung since to do his hits and do them perfectly.

  • he's so sweet, man he was my 1st crush

  • I agree, he looks the same minus afro :).

He gave an honest interview...I would have felt guilty interrupting his lunch.

  • I doubt that a"Welcome Back Kotter"movie will ever happened..especially since

    Mr.White..who played"Mr.Woodman"is long gone.

  • He's so cute when he eats/ I cant help but smiling every time

  • ya reunion show would be great :)

it was a long wait for dvds :)

  • whatever happened to Preach??? ever heard of "The Wire" you nitiwit?

  • whos this stupid fuck behind the camera?

  • REUNION MOVIE PLEASE!!!!!!

  • @IsProductions1 WITHOUT THAT LIVERAL UGLY BORING ASS WI FE OF KOTTERS

  • @oiyabastard I KNO! shes so boring.

  • Man, this is guy is so clearly tired of answering Kotter questions but yet so polite and patient with the interviewer. What a class act.

  • he is too sexy!!!!

  • Whoo he is sexy, but all that guy asked about was WBK, lol...

  • This is a sexy ass muthafucka.....DAMN....he was sexy as hell in "Cooley High" too!!!!!!

  • WHAT ABOUT ME AM I CUTE

  • Definitely check out our interview of LHJ on InArtMedia in the box to the right.

    tony young

  • LHJ is sexy!!!!!!!! He seems like such a nice guy. And a damn good actor...he needs more recognition than he receives.

  • LHJ seems like a way cool dude - I Hope they do a Reunion movie, etc.

  • he says "You Know" too much.

  • lawrence looks like hes only aged around 5 or 10 years amazing if the fro was back you would swear we were still in the late 70s god bless that show thats when life was still clicking on all 8 cylinders

  • Black don't crack.

  • He's ages really well. Wish I could say the same.

  • this poor guy has done this same interview and question asking god knows how many times about W.B.K. bet hes tired of it!

  • Great interview ! Great job !

  • so lonely tonight on cam have msn!!! msg me jane22fall Y

    You can do it again!!

  • Dudes in his 50's and he looks great!!! Boy an I hatin':^):^)

  • Mr. Kot-TARE!!!

  • Freddie BOOM BOOM Washington.....'HI THERE'

  • Wow...he still looks the same! The years have been good to him!

I would love to see a reunion movie but they (Execs) Would screw it up!

  • jeez, this guy aged like fine friggin' wine! I wish I was that lucky!

  • WE WANT KOTTA!!!!

  • wow i never knew lawrence dated latoya jackson!!

  • what year was this taped???Welcome back KOTTER was one of the last great shows--suprised there not much on the YT--i wouldve asked him--wheres your homework??--he wouldve said -HI,there,my homework! i dont have it here handy (with a smile)

  • Taped in 2006 or 2007, I think. I am hoping there will be a well-made reunion movie still. He's right, it shouldn't be done at all if not made well, and in the current climate, most studio execs won't do it UNLESS it is shitty. Meaning demographics, stats, and different actors hoping to make money, not art.

  • not made well, and in the current climate, most studio execs won't do it UNLESS it is shitty. Meaning demographics, stats, and different actors hoping to make money, not art. wow---that is so true in what you say--why is it like that these days??

  • Awesome, interview! Kotter was a great show. :)

  • I hear the happy sounds of cast in the background, and hear an orchestra warming up. What play was he doing here, and where? Thanks.

  • It was called "Waiting 2 End Hell". By a Mr.Parker. West Side...

  • boom boom boom boom boom! i love this guy...hi there!

  • BRING BACK KOTTER!!!!!

  • Season 1 is on DVD and it says there are old auditions or something in the extras. Nab it! and write and ask for more extras!

  • Holy shit, it's Freddy 'Boom Boom' Washington

  • There's a lot more I wished to ask him. :)

  • Seems like a real cool guy. Cooley High was always great. Should have asked him about getting killed in Death Wish!

  • Hey there Mr. Kottterrrr!!

  • Larry is my second cousin. I am so proud of him. Keep up the good work Meh- Son.

  • He is holding up well, still fine as he!@#

  • Wow... Lawrence is a pretty cool dude! Answered every question and even elaborated on them.

  • he's hotter now than he was when he was young!

  • That was the best show

  • HI There.

  • legend. love boom boom. he was cool in welcome back cotter

  • I just saw him on name that tune or whatever that show is. For some reason, there he was on the show. cool.

  • one handsome man.

  • he's soo funny i'm so happy he's my uncle. yes that's right lawrence hilton jacobs (known to me as uncle larry) is a funny guy and loves to have fun all the time but when it time to get serious he gets serious

  • your uncle is a cool dude. loved him as freddie and i loved that show.

  • I love him as Joe Jackson.

  • sounds like in real life he had some fun on the contrary joe was a no nonsense business oreinted type

  • I liked him in "Welcome Back, Kotter" (1975 - 1979) and "The Jacksons: An American Dream" (1992). Great works!

But I'll always remember him as Richard "Cochise" Morris - "Cooley High" (1974).

  • Yes, I would love a reunion movie. I was very young but I remember watching with my teenage sister. He should start writing it since he seems to have an idea of how it would work.

  • The Brady Bunch movies proved that it can be done.

  • are the shows on DVD?

of course. ive got the set. cost some $100, aussie dollars that is.

  • I believe only season 1 is out in the states. But after 30 years, that's good that it's out at all! Other than that, it's rarely on cable reruns here.

  • I liked him as Washington, but he was amazing as Joe Jackson.

  • Boobm-Boom Washington looks great!!!

  • he was fantastic as Joe Jackson. he is a good actor.

  • When people refer to all the drek on youtube this is what they mean.

  • i remember welcome back kotter cards.

  • ha! me too

  • BOOM BOOM WASHINGTON <3

  • A great cast, and a great show, AS-good as WKRP.

  • Good interview. The actors who aren't THAT famous are always more interesting.

  • That's true. Also, the well known b-actors. What does this actor do now? He seems like an important guy. lol

  • just say, "hi there".

  • There was a somewhat kind of reunion a few years ago on a t.v. coemdy called MR. RHODES. The only person that did not show up was John Travolta.

  • Can you tell me more info about the Mr.Rhodes episode? They all showed up but only for seconds on an ABC ?? 50 years of type of TV special to recieve an award. Also, there is the SNL welcome back kotter/tarantino skit with only Travalota from the original cast.

  • Would love to see a reunion movie!

  • I met in in 2005 and he was just the greatest. Ive met huge stars (Leo Dicaprio) etc , but was thrilled to meet Boom Boom Washington (: and he seemed like a really good dad to his kid also (: i was soooo happy!

  • Hi There!

  • A reunion? Abso-friggen-lutely!

  • I remember when I was like 7 (im 17 now) I use sitdown with my dad and watch Welcome Back Kotter on TV1 (station that plays all these old shows).. my dad still loves that show to this day... I loved it aswell.

    Thanx for the interview

  • I missed this show sooo much

  • DVD? YES!!! Thank you very much for this. WOW!

  • YES REUNION MOVIE

  • only thang i can say is "eyoo mista carierr" lmao loved dat show and im only 22

  • man i loved that show and im only 12

  • He seemed like a friendly guy around unfriendly people. Ok, where's kotter so I can interview him? Ha.

  • Very cool interview. He was amazing as Joe Jackson, surprised he didn't win an Emmy...was he even nominated? He was every bit as good playing Joe as Fishburne was playing Ike Turner. Good job on the interview...a very friendly feel to it.

  • he told me he still sees the guy from cooley high regularly and they are pretty close.

  • Great Post!

I was just thinking about this guy, but regarding something else he did - the movie "Cooley High" (1975).

  • Seems like he is doing pretty well. Great!

As to the "Reunion Kotter" question, I'm neutral on it. I'm certainly old enough to remember the show, it was cool, but I'm not certain I want to see a reunion special. I liked the series, but I didn't love it.

I would LOVE to see LHJ do a commentary, a "What Ever Happened To", etc., (along with the other cast members) for the Cooley High DVD.

  • There's a voice from the past! No way would I have recognized him.

  • amazing interview! LHJ seems such a cool guy. Thanks for posting this!

  • i like that show it was funny

  • Freddy"BOOM BOOM"Washington yeah,that show brings back memories

  • hell yea

  • He seems like a really nice guy. Best of luck to him.
