ok, Mater underneath that body is an early 80's Chevy Truck and Lightning is an '86 or '87 Pontiac Firebird...

@austinyoung300ex i saw how they built the vehicles they built 2 Maters both out of early to mid eighties (not sure on exact year) Chevy trucks with a '50's chevy truck body made out of fiberglass.

One of my neighbors' children dressed as Lightning McQueen from Cars. It was so cute! I like said, "Rev up some energy".

All floats are driven. The Universe of Energy, Great Movie Ride, and Tower of Terror use Magnetic Detectors. I think you may be confusing the 'zone' sensors, which are used to trigger the speakers to play float audio.

Pretty Rust-eze girls. Too bad only Lightning McQueen and Mater came out. I wish Sally Carrera, Mack and Hudson Hornet were at that parade as well.
