  • It's going to be passed before Christmas people! wake up!

  • This may be one of the reasons why Canada sees so little corruption: their citizens take action, instead of sitting around and blaming everyone.

  • Even though I'm American, this is still a concern to me.

  • Why doesn't the US do that? They spend so much time pointing fingers while the real criminals (the corporations) get away.

  • This doesn't just affect students. It affects almost everyone - everyone who enjoys movies, television shows, music, pictures, comics, books, software, or artistic works of any kind. In effect, everyone. EVERYONE should be concerned about this.

  • excellent video I don't live in Canada but really support your fair copyright law.......Goodluck!

  • "Conservatives have sold out to American corporate interests yet again"

And what do the "opposition"? They want to broaden the perspective of a hardware tax to not only include CDs but iPod and mp3 players... so that people who listened to CC-licensed music in the first place would have to start funding the music industry if they so little as have the hardware capable of containing copyrighted material.

  • Go you guys!!!!

  • Awesome! Not to mention the BG song was facken' amazing too.

  • VARY COOL!!!!

  • A step in the right direction:

  • I'm curious to know what the frequently-mentioned "rights of users" are, and where they are codified.

  • What! This is an outrage! STUDENTS being charged up to $20,000? WHERE IS THE LOGIC IN THAT? Many students are on student Aids ALREADY! :O

This is all really ridiculous, very disgusting, and depressing... How can such a thing be allowed to occur by our government?

  • um, so what are we allowed to do? i don't understand why i can't watch the DVD i bought on ipod. like the only way to go is to buy it from itunes?

  • @pineapplesong

Yes, exactly. Under the new proposed bill, any item with a digital lock on it (like DVDs) would trump any other right. It would simply be illegal to copy the data. This includes buying a physical CD and putting it on your iPod, etc.

  • I like this propaganda. It's about time there was a reverse of roles

  • @CFSFCEEOntario, @midbc, Awesome.

  • Needs more views

  • @SlevinKil it's posted there now

  • Someone, please, post this video on Reddit.

  • @SlevinKil it was already on reddit before you even asked this

  • Fantastic video. I wish more people would take an interest in this issue.

It would be nice if the government would actually listen to the results of last year's copyright consultations, and do what the people of Canada actually want.

Instead, the Conservatives have sold out to American corporate interests yet again.

  • @theheadlessrabbit It shouldn't even go that far, copyright is fine the way it is now. We don't need any more legislation.
