very nicely done thought he was with you when you filmed this like it was directed from heaven anyhow it is nice to see kids and grown ups doing jaco's stuff but there was only one jaco pastorius and always will be rest in peace you earned your wings jaco although im sure you occasionally tear them off like the frets on your bass only to see them grow again get used to them
Fico triste em saber que da forma que o nosso eterno professor nos deixou! Que pena que teve que ser assim, mas para que Jaco Pastorius saiba, nossa sempre estaremos ouvindo e executando suas musicas, descanse em paz amigo.
Wow, R.I.P Jaco! uve been one of the biggest inspirations to me a long with Vic and more, some day i hope to go vist that area, see his grave nd stuff, pay my respects to a god of bass! Thankx for posting!!
The cemetery is located in Fort Lauderdale Florida. I have the address somewhere and I can post it, but you can mapquest the name and finds it's exact location.
Thanks Bassmickeyd, but I never will be able to go there, cause I live in Brazil,,,,but someday I promisse go tho USA watch a Jazz concert of Bass, like ones of Jaco!
Three View of a Secret...most beautiful soulful tune ever written and arranged by the genuis of the human soul...Jaco Pastorius! He studied arranging with the late great Charlie Brent of New Orleans while with the Wayne Cochran band. Thanks for this music Jaco!...over there on the other side...we love you always!!
Just imagine if warner bros made a movie on his life what an amazing movie it would be you dont even have to be a musician or jazz fan his story is so interesting it would be amazing maybe Jonny Depp as Jaco!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
jaco pastorius my biggest influence to play bass, he is extraordinary, hes genius, hes a legend, his music live in my heart forever.... thank you jaco to the masterpiece you create and share...
I have always wanted to see a great movie about the life of Jaco. the biography of him. Show us his concert around the world, ideas, philosophy, point of view of other musicians that work with him, etc, etc. I knew something sad about him: the problem with drugs and he was a bipolar sick. I cannot secure this but many biographies that I have read about him say it. However, I respect to him for his beautiful music.

The correct quote is,"THERE IS BASS BEFORE JACO & BASS AFTER JACO.......THAT'S JUST THE WAY IT IS."

Listening the Word of Mouth disc is like a storytelling trip about life and what it encounters.
I think Jaco always knew his motive in this earth.
RIP!!
