  • i need to know where and when this song was written, it's so amazing!

  • So far, from my YouTube travels, I've seen that only Azam Ali, and Jana Mashonee really like singing in other languages...Sure, lots of Russian, etc, singers use English, but only these two use many languages!

  • azam ali is not a human being. she is from an other world. she is "a stranger in this world"

  • Wonderful music! This is an An Dro dance!

  • I love this! She's amazing!

  • There are several tunes here. The third tune is Dans le jardin d'mon père, if I'm not mistaken... It's a hanter dro. I wish I could remember the words!

Anyone interested in Eastern/Breton fusion would do well to look up Denez Prigent.

  • Very nice

  • brilliant music from a lovely soul.

  • I'm curious; does anyone recognize the instruments being used in this piece? Like the names of the particular drums, strings, or wind instruments? If anyone can answer, it would be most helpful. :)

  • @Joyride37 The background instrument sounds a bit like a hurdygurdy, traditional instrument for such songs. but, might be something else played in the style of one.

  • @AMoonbiter It is a hurdy gurdy for sure since I hear the buzzing drones of the buzzing bridge

  • Breton Melody from an American Iranian so fantastic

  • Nice song. Btw its not "melody", its "Medley"

  • damn ... I listen trance music ... techno pop rock "radio hits"... BUT I LIKE THIS MUSIC !! :)

  • An Iranian band playing a Breton song... That's the kind of globalization I wanna see/hear more often !

  • @SmartBonzai wow what a small world.

  • nice mix between Breton and Iranian music, love it.

    Seamus from Brittany (with a B :-) )

  • great song nuff said.

  • yoo fuck this, this aint her song this song is from two different bands....Eluveitie and Omnia mixed into one.....

  • @CIBAOMENTAO haha haha no problem buddy. i knew deep inside that "twas my destiny to comment you

  • This is epic! I just love every song that Azam Ali released. Each track contains different but very powerful energy! It sends a listener to a whole new dimension!

  • I want to dance...

  • Please, believe me when I say:

    "It

    is

    something

    out

    of

    this

    world!!"

  • Breizhoneg ! Go to " Ramoneurs de Menhirs " on youtube or google. It's a breton band of breton punk music !

  • In Bretagne there are like 1% of people that think that way (independance from France).

Bretons feel perhaps more french than the people in Paris.

And know what i'm saying because i'm a proud bretton...

  • @solwen 1 % where did you find your statistic, haha are you jp Chevenement ?

"Bretons feel perhaps more french than the people in Paris" .....and you say, you are a proud Breton ? it's an oxymore ..

Try to read some books about history of Brittany, before writting bullshit idiot.

  • France don't recognized bretons, nor occitans or nord-catalans. Its the same as Spain that don't recognize Catalonia nor Euskadi. France and Spain want to finish with minoritary cultures and little nations.

  • yeah , more than a thousand years they try to" finish" Brittany ,haha the joke , the day when france will finish brittany will never happen . I see they don't know the Breton's character .

  • i don't think they should do that,if it is true, would that not be going against some EU law,and is Brittany in the EU?it would have to be,i was against the Lisbon treaty in Ireland,so maybe the Breton's feel the same too.

  • See the European Charter for Regional or Minority Languages . Forbidden the language it's like kill the culture of this language, France is condemned by the Council of Europe for its refusal to sign the Convention for the protection of minorities and the non-ratification Charter for Minority Languages. The so-called country of human rights.

  • Do you know that Brittany voted massively for Europe to escape the yoke of Paris ?

  • up the bretons

  • YAY IM A SAXON YAY:D:D:D happy new year from denmark :D:D

  • Azam Ali has a mesmerizing voice and a perfect blend of East and West.

    5 Stars!!

  • This sounds like a soft version of Uis Elveti by Eluveitie

  • Nice interpretation of Breton dances with a fragrance of Middle East music.

The fist musical theme is a "an dro" and the second one a "hanter dro".

This means the dance changes every new musical theme. In Brittany we call this dance a "trikot" (a "mix").

  • khali khube :))) vrey nice :)))) Mühtesem

  • Brilliant Iranian artist !!!!!!!!

  • Old music like that is still wonderfull.

  • desde xalapa veracruz arriba todos los breton somos una especie en peligro de extincion

  • Bretons are french and are not in danger of extinction ...

  • No we're not frenchbecause we are bretons whatever says the french, we know how they think to be the light of the world, that's why they had so many colonies...France, bah !

  • I am of Breton descent and stories of my family's history has survived even when they immigrated to Canada in the late 19th century. Still a proud Breton who understands France's truly multicultural history!)

  • france doesn't reconised the bretons, not even their culture or language.they do everything do destroy us.BZH=44.FRANKIZ EVIT AR BREIZH

  • @Gurgoth Are Burgundians consider a separate group as well?

  • @Gurgoth first of all I'd like to apologize for my ignorance

So ... this band isn't from or a part of the Breton, Brittany, French culture?

Is this even a Breton (French Breton) song?

  • @Copper4head this is a Breton song. From Brittany, one of the last celtic places in mainland Europe. Language very similar to the Welsh. Lot of common legends too, such as the King Arthur (called Arzhur in Breton, Arzh meaning the Bear). Country of Druids, Sailors @ the extremity of Europe.

At the antipode of the french culture.

I love the mix, between Breton and Iranian culture, it goes round and round like our music and dances.

  • @SeamusIwerzhon It's actually fairly natural that Celtic and Persian music would go so well together. Remember that the Celts, like all Indo-Europeans, spread from an area around the Black Sea. Traditional Celtic and Near Eastern instruments are so similar because the roots of their music are from the same geographic region.

  • @SeamusIwerzhon Although one little nit I have to pick.... when you say "one of the last celtic places in mainland Europe," you should probably make it clear that the Brythonic peoples first settled in the British Isles, and then a faction of them broke away and settled Brittany when the Anglo-Saxons invaded. So the modern day Bretons are from Celts from the mainland who settled the Isles and then traveled back to the mainland. They haven't been there the whole time.

  • @Gurgoth The Breton's are the original people of Britannia not the English.North west part of France is where the Breton people reside. The welsh and Breton's are related to one another like the Irish and Scottish are.

  • @Gurgoth Vous avez le soutien de l'Alsace! ;)

  • they are of Celtic descent, like the Basque and Galatians of Spain.

We Celts will not go gently into the night. We are here for Eternity.

  • The Bretons are not French. There are Bretons living in the south of Great Britain as well as in the north of France. There are probably Bretons living in other regions of the world as well. The Bretons ended up in France only by fleeing the Angles and Saxons to the north. But many stayed behind in England where they still live, speaking a slightly different dialect than their kin in France. The French themselves were originally Celtic peoples, just like the Bretons.

  • Comment removed

  • After centuries of monarchical centralization, jacobisme Republican aggressive, nationalization planned, francisation enforced , we are Bretons with our OWN history ! point final .

  • pointy taken, tell me more about your history........,i want to know more, any web sites, send it to me via private message?

  • @Elevationary CHECK ON GOOGLE(EMGANN)

  • Thanks,i read a lot of Interesting facts about Brittany and EMGANN and the Armée Révolutionnaire Bretonne,it seems that one of the reasons why Brittany is in a lot of trouble is because of the intrusion of Fascism that passed through France in the 1940s.

  • Bretonne and Corsica ARE NOT FRANCE

  • I am aware of that kraksynludoli,

I am also aware that French Right wing

    people are against you.

  • "French right wing" I like fantasy but not enough to believe in any kind of "french right wing" At the french political scene they are only socialists(hatred by me)

  • it seems that they separated Loire Atlantique from Brittany in order to separate its government from its capital "Nantes".it seems that you have a lot of support out there,i wish you all the best.

  • Oh by the way any one from Canada or france of Breton tradition, please introduce your self,as i am learning.

  • who or what is a breton?

    is it like a cretin?

Do you want a road map to heaven?

    Go to work you fool

  • Wow I thought you were saying something there!

If you have history show me with your story.

    I agree otherwise

  • use google

  • Amzam Ali = beautiful voice!!

  • Yesh! I love this song to!

  • You've convinced me to buy this CD. I already had Elysium for the Brave, but I think this one's even better. Now I've got to wait for iTunes to behave.

Thank you for uploading this. :D

  • Your welcome. :) I like this one best of the two. But Elysium is a great album, too.

  • Hi AJ. Got to agree, this is my favourite album closely followed by Elysium.
