  • Good Save! Hahaha

  • I laughed. Im going to hell.

  • @phinx400 On that basis, both of her parents will be meeting you there!

  • people saying that wasn't a fall was she not in the saddle then FELL out of it, she then got back on after her FALL and carried on!! come on people that was her second horse show so give her some praise for not crying about it rather than sitting there saying that that was not a fall!!!

  • she is going to be such a good rider when she grows up :)

  • Yeah, that wasnt a fall

  • @chelseaiscrazyful To all this people who say this was not a fall....I suggest you learn your own language. The dictionary definition of "fall" is "to drop or descend under the force of gravity". This says nothing about what happens AFTER the fall....which might be an "impact" as you hit the ground...or you might luckily be caught...as in this case.

Lydia has since had more serious falls in which there was an impact...either with a fence or the ground. I do not recommend it...

  • @simonwtusa its still wanst a proper riding fall

  • kinda wasn;t a fall because someone caught her

  • It doesn't matter on the size match / mismatch of the horse and rider - as long as the rider is not too big or heavy. Its the match of their personalities and temprements that matters, shes only three years old, most Shetland ponies and welsh A's can be really, really bad mannered and tempremented, I think shes done great :) - got that rising trot mastered at her age!

  • @rachelwilliams09 EXACTLY!!! I'm 5 feet tall and I ride a 19.3 hand horse that I love to death. This girl is so cute on him!!

  • she doesnt need a smaller horse people! this looks like a POA pony to me which arent that huge and are very gentle she can use this one to continue to show when she gets older. Good catch mom and congrats on the ribbons :) hope she loves doing this and continues to have fun on her pony :)

  • she's so tiny!!!!

  • sub to me

  • First, she needs a smaller horse or pony.Second, you need to lengthen her sturips.Third, that is about the prettiest horse I ever saw, lol.

  • Why can't someone catch me??? Hahaha that was a fantastic saw by the instructor!!!!

  • i wish someone would catch me when i fall off xD lol

  • omg so cute

  • Not a fall at all!!!!!!!!

  • @allie89102 only cause she was caught

  • lol just a shake from the pony and the rider's off poor Lydia!

at least when they are on little ponies it doesn't happen haha still funny to watch!

  • Her sturrips are reallyyyy short. They need to be lengthened.

  • @MegaHorsesaremylife I think she needs a smaller horse, too.

  • @ridexonxstars Haha yeah, like a little Shetland pony:D

  • @MegaHorsesaremylife Think she needs longer legs/smaller pony haha.

  • @MegaHorsesaremylife thats because shes short????

  • not a fall

  • that doesn't count as a fall because she didn't hit the ground.

  • good catch

  • Aww so cute.

  • That girls gonna be a star, one day : )

  • Adorable!!! But if she's in a horse show, then why is someone leading her horse for her?

  • @amsardina11 There is a division set for that, I think its called lead line.

  • Oh goodness. That's the most adorable thing I've ever seen.

  • Lol the horse shook its neck and she fell off lol!

  • hehe i've been riding for 7 years and that happened to me, but i was walking without stirrups

  • Omg! You're horse looks so much like my mare!!:D

  • She's been in horse shows but never fallen??

  • Hahaha, what a cute fall, it truly made me chuckle. Good to see her back in the saddle with a smile afterwards :)

  • Horse thinks its a bug on back better shake it of=P

  • awwww, id she was bigger she might have stayed on!lol

  • So fun to watch her attempt to post!! :D Adorable!!!

  • What a cute little Saddle!

  • I had to laugh just becoz of the shake xD

  • for how old she is, she is awesome! at least she got back on!!:)

  • that catch was ninja. well played ;)

  • Cutest little kid EVER!! I remeber when I was showing at that age! Granted it wasnt lead line..on did that when we showed the stallion. Also best pony ever!!

  • Oh my god I hate when my horse does a full body shake when I'm on her! Good catch by the leadliner, and amazing little rider!!!

  • awww

  • aww thats so cute :)

  • OMG! lol

  • Amazing catch :D

  • adorable!! i wish my first "fall" was that easy :)

  • @horseytime783 No kidding lol.

  • wow shes a great little rider :D rising trot and everything!

  • lol

  • well she never actually touched the ground

  • @bumblepony1 if the horse (or pony) is no longer between you and the ground, then it was a fall. she is a great little rider though! I've rarely seen kids her age actually posting!

  • Nags2b****hes her stirrups fit the her just right. She's so small that they look short on her even when they arent

  • Nice! The pony was to big for the girl so when he shook she wasn't able to hold with her legs like she could do with a smaller horse. Just saying.

  • That was so cute. Good catch for the instructor lol

  • OMG she is so little

  • y the shit r u laughing she is amazing

  • She might not have fallen off if her stirrups hadn't been ridiculously short ?

  • @nags2bitches maybe the girl had more stability with short stirrps, i do

  • So funny! Cool grab to the mane or saddle!!! Awesome!

  • y r her stirups so high up

  • good thing she was caught!

  • omq that is sooo cute :D <3

  • @simonwtusa the stirrups were too short...

  • how come the stirrups are so high?

  • I like how the guy in the background is like "hahaha, good catch!"

  • AWW SHE LOOKS LIKE A MINI JOCKEY CUTEEEE

  • aww so cute i had a fall just like that yesterday i dropped my stirrups and she shook and i fell and i've been riding for 6 years!!! haha it happens to everyones

  • i think her stirrups are to short

  • sooo cute! but why do people insist young kids have their struipps so short its like sitting in an arm chair :L nice catch tho! x

  • awwww that was sooooooo cute :P xo

  • i think the horse was too high for the little gir! but its funny :D

  • omg i hate it when the pont i ride boston does that but its fun and to c others deal with it cracks me up bcuz he never does that to any1 else!!!

  • haha!

  • lol the pony was like sorry I forgot how light you were

  • Good catch!!

  • She's so cute!!!! That was a good first fall, I know a lot that are less "pleasant", plus your trainer made a great catch!

  • phewww! Luckliy The lady catched her! O.o LOL

  • what barn is this show at is it pony farm

  • very cute haha

  • I fell at my second show too, I got first and I was new to riding and the lady handing out ribbions gave me a plastic bag. I didn't know it would spook the pony, so I took it and ended up on the ground lol. Nice catch, and beautiful horse.

  • She's cute, but the stirrups are too short, I realize that her legs are short, but that seems kind of extreme, not trying to critique, just a suggestion. Nice catch!

  • Awwww she's so tiny! And her feet don't go past the saddle. The poor baby she didn't stand a chance

  • ahh sometimes i show at saddle roweee!!!!!

  • I laughed a little bit there :D isn't the horse too big for her? Or is that ment to be? :)

  • Awehhhh! So cute! She is going to be a great little rider when shes older!

  • She is soooo cute and that was hilarious

  • awww she is adorable and great horse

  • Thats is the cutest thing I have ever seen but I think that you should have lengthened her stirrups a little so she wasn't so perched on top of the horse. Very cute video! *Liked*

  • that was so cute the horse shook and she fell lol cute as lucky tha lady caught her

  • cute, glad she was alright.

  • cute :)

  • Lol my horse did that once but I didn't fall. That was a great catch!

  • awwww

  • She's already 3 and has gone to two shows!?!?! I'm 14 and haven't gone to one! good for her!

  • She's so cute!:) and stupid horse! Ur not a dog! Lol

  • @luvseldem95 the horse isnt stupid!!!!!

i think the rider is too small and weak for ride!

  • aww the fall was so cute!!!! i just saw terrior on her face when it happened but her face afterwords was like hey i fell and im alive!

  • She was Lady Mae...very well known in New England, as so many people learned to ride on her. She was a grand only lady and much loved, but sadly passed away last year.

  • whats the ponies name i think i have seen her

  • @TheSmilesmile123 She was Lady Mae...very well known in New England, as so many people learned to ride on her. She was a grand only lady and much loved, but sadly passed away last year.

  • When I first fell from a horse (13 years ago) my instructor told me "the day you fell and then get back up is the day you can call yourself a rider"

    owo

  • Cute!!!

  • lol a little shake and go haha very cute. old pony though! :D

  • ohh so cute

  • Too Cute! She has a horse just like me! I'm not alone! lol!

  • She looks great, for being so young! When I was 15 I was almost shaken off too! So she's really good to be able to hang on with such short legs.

  • oh my goodness some people are so ridiculous with their comments. Yeah so what if you stay on when your horse shakes. This girl was THREE here. Goodness. I think it's ADORABLE! And good for her for not being phased by it.

  • noow that was soooo adorable!!! <3 but that was so cute

  • @Bearbearbethany

You have to teach a girl to know these things. Be safe or don't ride. Plus, not judging the horse, I am judging the rider. I know a little 4 year old girl that is cantering.

  • nice catch!

  • omg she is 2 young

  • Lol, truth be told, i've been full body shaken, but I stayed on, in my opinion, her heels should have been further down. She also was on a incorrect size of horse, she should have been on a pony, a small one, about say, 5 feet tall or less. They still can jump.

  • @Lolwut67 She's 3! She hasn't learned everything yet. You can't judge that horse, you don't know it's nature. It seems fine for her to me. She has the confidence, so just let her get on with what she is doing the way she wants to do it.

  • i luv mae but she is wayyy to big for her!

  • ponyzani :

People fall off. Stuff happens. It is all apart of horse back riding. I know somene who started riding when she was three! Two years ago she got reserve champion in horsemanship at congress!!! All the hard work pays off, she could of got hurt on the smallest pony. Riding is dangerous.

  • cute :)

  • maybe that happened because that horse is way to big for that girl

  • shes so cute but i would seriously ut her on a smaller horse or a pony. Nice catch though ;)

  • HER HORSE IS TOO BIG

  • lol

  • L.O.L.

  • her stirups are so short! blessage!! :D

  • omg shes 3!!!!! that is so adorable!!! she is and will be an amazing rider!!!! i wish her well!!!

  • why would u have someone at a horse show still on the lead-rein and to small to reach halfway down the horse? some people...

  • Exactly!

  • Oh man, I didn't realize every lesson barn needs a shetland pony who is impossible to fall off of. Do western barns have these too or is it just unwritten law that hunter/jumper barns must have them? I guess I missed the memo that children learning how to post must be on ponies no taller than 12 hands. I always thought it was quality over size...

Kudos to the trainer, great catch!

  • she should be on a smaller pony for troting she far to small and younge to be on a horse that size for troting ! ahah but othet than that she so cute!!!!!

  • the pony is a big medium but shes like 34 and knows her job. lady mae has gotton many little kids blue ribbions in the show ring

  • well if the horse knew its job well enough it wouldnt shake kids off

  • thats a bit harsh dont you think? when i started riding at 2 years old i got put straight onto a 17hh mare. reason being that she was the calmest and eldest horse - perfect. and a horses "job" isnt to not shake, its to obey the rider, which is what i see in the video. i feel sorry for your horse if its not allowed to shake.

  • i wasnt trying to be mean the first time but she comment back im not saying the horse isnt alowed to shake i could see that being resonable when they were walking to standing but not troting im not saying i would punish the horse but if she was on a smaller horse she would of had a better chance of staying on

  • well lady mae is the best schooling pony at clarion farm for the lead liners to ride. shes a great pony and so what she shook......its not a big deal carly caught lydia so nothing happened.

  • no it kinda is a big deal what if she didnt get caught lydia could have rlly got hurt

  • no its not a big deal at all! thats legit one of the only times mae has done that! so people need to stop saying this stuff cause there is no safer pony then lady mae!

  • kids fall off. its a part of riding.

  • lol just a little shake and shes off!nice catch!!!= ]

  • Goood catch haha,

if shes 3 why is she out on such a big pony, she should be on a shetland, he's far to big for her, she could of really hurt herself is she didnt get caught, soo cute though hehe

  • Cutest fall ever xD The shake was just too cute, and nice catch on the instructor's part

  • Lady Mae can me so bratty sometimes! She is a good teacher though (the horse)

  • i started crying! that was so hysterical@ it was like shimmy(horse)! boom(girl)! catch( lady)!

  • awhhh that sooooo cute!

i almost thought that trainer is in WI, because you said franklin but then i saw the MA. ahah

  • omg, that is probably the cutest thing ever. she is adorable!!!! and i wish someone would catch me when i fall! awwh but seriously, shes adorablexD

  • she should be on a smaller pony or a shetland lol

  • awh! shes so cute! what a brave girl for getting back on! just a comment her stirrups are very short which probably set her a bit off balance!

  • the cutest thing ive ever seen! how is she doing now [riding wise] she looks sooo cute(: <33

  • I just posted another "video" of her last show...

  • ...this is honestly the cutest thing I've ever seen.

    Future olympian?

    I think so

    xD

  • lydia is sooo cute! haha carly has been talking bout this and i finally knew what she was talking bout! and to the others beeing mean she is a great rider and hasd gtton great ribbons at big shows so back offf!

  • She's in a leadline class. She's having fun. She's not out of control, and she has a handler right there. Are you honestly comparing yourself to a three year old, Horsecrazy? Good for you! Do you feel better about yourself now? Give it up.

  • u really have issues...this little girl deserves to ride! anyone does! i started ridin when i was 3! and now its been nearly 12 years and I can ride really well now, the earlier you start and the more show expieriance you have, the better, good for her!and shes a great rider! lets take a look at you in ur first few times trotting hmm? JERK!and ur not disqualified if you fall of retard, i would know, i've been showing for MANY years, and its only if u fall twice...der da der!

  • ik wat ur saying i dont think she really needs a showcoat and everything when shes three (and they dont allow any 6 year olds at my barn to trot) but it wasnt a real show

  • but its all just 4 fun any way =]

  • This was a Rated show and was under MHC and NEHC rules. This requires that all competitors be properly dressed, hence the black coat, gloves, etc. The leadline class is the first rung on the competitive ladder, and is open only to 6 year olds and under who have not competed at a higher level. Trotting is REQUIRED in these events.

  • ok, that make sense! i thought it was just a little school show, srry! i didnt mean for that to sound bad before, and she looked like she was having alot of fun anyway :)

  • She absolutely loves her riding, and especially these shows, which she takes VERY seriously. On this day she had to wait 5 hours in a field for her class, which takes a lot of determination for a 3 years old. Yesterday she competed again, and earned two third places and a fourth..after a 3 hour wait in high humidity and mid-80s heat, and wearing her black jacket! Believe me, we wouldn't be doing this if she wasn't dragging us there....

  • Oops! Very cute!

  • Yes, I agree that the stirrups are short. However, for a 3 year old girl with short legs on a wide pony it is difficult to have a longer leg!

  • die bügel sin ja auch viel zu kurz xD
