Many businesses are actually in pretty fair shape. It is the credit market which is in a shambles. The blame for that needs to be shared but assigning blame will not fix the problem. Without credit support there is no confedence in the banks. Lending stops, businesses will stop hiring (which is already happening) next will be massive layoffs. Essentally the whole thing will grind to a halt.
We have one Republican presidential candidate that hasn't had to even look at his bank account in years and the VP candidate mostly likely cannot balance her own check book without having the process fed to her from a prompter.
semi0tical - you need to see this then talk to me about Freddie and Fannie, and Nancy Pelosi, and Barney Frank, and Chris Dodd and yes, your wonderful barack obama.
"Developing new technologies, which we can and must do" ROFL did he forget that he voted AGAINST solar and wind power? A person who can't learn how to use computers (which by now aren't even new) is speaking about NEW technologies? What are they? Inventing bicycle in 21st century?
ok now mccain is wrong on this subject but the president has very little ability to strengthen the economy its mainly up to the senate and house of represenatives to accept the president can veto the bill or pass it, even if the president does veto the senate can overide the veto. now im not here to say that its all congresses fault the president does have a small factor in it. any ways the video he sounds like he hasnt watched to news for what 4,5,7 months?
New York Mayor Bloomburg, he agrees with McCain that the fundamentals of the American economy are strong.
"I do agree that fundamentally America has an economy that is strong," he said. "Americas great strength is its diversity, its hard work, its good financial statements, its broad capital markets, its enormous natural resources" and its work ethic, he said at an afternoon press conference devoted to reassuring New Yorkers that the city's finances and its economy are intact.
WHAT A FUCKING MORON luke12191 your an idiot i mean he is saying that our economy is better off now that bush fucked it up the ass our dollar is low gas is 4 bucks a gallon and you seem to enjoy it your fucking stupid go fucking get your head out of your asshole and follow politics and economics and sign up for this war that were in because you support that too right? dumbass
McCain crashed 5 jets, plus was responsible for the Forrestal fire. Something made the plane behind McCain fired a rocket, which hit McCain's external center fuel tank, and caused a fire. McCain panicked, and dropped two bombs into the fire.
Did He Start The USS Forrestal Fire?
Surviving crewmen and those who investigated the Forrestal fire case reported that McCain deliberately 'wet-started' his A-4E Skyhawk to shake up the guy in the F-4 Phantom behind his plane.
He seems pretty honest to me. And he's right. The US has shifted from industrial to technological jobs. The reason the US became so strong was because of it's industry and manufacturing. The same thing can happen with the Tech Rev. The main difference is that the Industrial/Manufacturing jobs stayed here, while Tech jobs are being shipped overseas. Clinton has it right, you need a job that's competative and that can't be outsourced.
the American people are bleeding out thier hard earned cash to get to work and feed thier children, my God I would respect this man if he could just tell the truth but once
just once!!! whay can't this man do anything but lie right to every face of every American
