In Muay thai the first thing you get taught is leg kicks.
In kick boxing you don't get taught anything about leg kicks.
Watch any fight on the internet with an American kick boxers vs Muay thai and they all end in the same way. The kick boxers legs are completely fucked and he can't get back up.
All you need to do to block leg kicks is raise your leg so they kick your shin. After they have done that a couple of times it will hurt them to much to carry on leg kicking.
