And if you stick to the story of "any liquid in freezing temperatures (close to 32 degrees) not quite cold enough to freeze, remove the bottle and hit on the ground" then you think people are stupid.
If that was true, then the poor delivery drives for Coca Cola, Pepsi, Budweiser, etc... would be handing completely frozen bottles after they take them out of the refrigerated trucks that are kept at almost freezing temperatures.
Again, if the only thing it takes is cooling liquid down to temperature just above freezing, then people stocking bottles, people carrying bottles would all experience this. However, this does not happen.
@forgetfuldays no if you leave a liquid at near freezing temperatures undisturbed this will happen.. the reason most people dont experience is because their freezers are much colder than say 31 or 32 degrees, i just experience this myself today actually
This happened to me on accident. I put a gatorade in the freezer for like and hour, it wasn't frozen when I looked at it, but as I took it out it froze over like yours did.
@omgitszombie yeah buh my dad told me this......That when you put it in the frezzer the air inside absorbs the cold nd when you move it it breaks so it freazes PS My dad is a Scientist Aka GEEk! xP!!
@TONSITO809 : Same ... I thought I had gone loopy the first time I saw it happen. The heat from my hand triggered it. By moving it around the bottle I froze the whole thing.
wow how many explainings I think I rather take the scientific one that is when you freeze it near zero degrees celsius the carbonated drink will have too uch energy to freeze. and when you hit it some of the energy is leaked out because of the energy flow you create when hitting it.
therefore making it supercool or just say all carbonoxid moves to the top so the water can freeze.
if anyone thinks its fake get a life its worked for me but carbonated works better and if u think they used sodium acetate look at the bottle its closed dumb ass
JUST TO CLEAR UP ANY CONFUSION. NO CHEMICALS, NO NOOBS, NO BULL SHIT. THERE ARE A MILLION VIDEOS LIKE THIS ONLINE, AND NONE OF THEM USE CHEMICALS, IT DOESN'T TAKE A CHEMIST JUST TO DO SOMTHING COOL...
thank you mike for the scientific explanation and john for keeping all the fags from calling people noobs.
the scientific term for what you did is called supercooling[ bringing the temperature of something below its freezing point w/o it turning into a solid], then the tap triggers the freeze
for this you will need: Sodium Acetate (Available easily online). you will also need water and a pan. Dissolve the sodium acetate in near boiling water until no more absorbs into the liquid. stir constantly. when dissolved pour into a glass. now let it cool in a fridge. once it has cooled, pour it into a clear plastic bowl or cup. then... touch it! you have to do it to figure out what it does
So u got to hit the bottle on something

@petercraigg1 you forget that your body would raise the temp of the liquid.

Sodium Acetate - a chemical was used.

How long did you freeze it for as ive seen anything from 3 hours to 8 hours and does the bottle have to be factory sealed
