I seen Pink Floyd On May 26 1994 at the Cleveland Stadium. I will put it into two words and say that it was, Awesome and Phenomenal, There were all kinds and ages of people there and it was as if we were all one under the stars, It got cold out and started to drizzle rain, and it turned to freezing rain, during Crazy Diamond, and needless to say the visual was spectacular. I'm just an Earth bound misfit lovein me some pink floyd. I would love to see them again someday.
Amazing, just so amazing, a very creative video from an equally creative & amazing band. David's voice is so perfect amd mesmerizing. Everyone of their albums are unbeatable in todays age of awful recording and poor guitar playing. Thank heaven for this and all of their other creations for us to be able to enjoy with such wonder & amazement. Pink Floyd will probably be "Rocking us all in heaven".
I can't believe this video have only 321.040 views 5 years!! after been uploaded. THIS SONG CAN MAKE THE DIFFERENCE TO TAKE CARE MORE OF THIS WORLD THAT HAS BEEN RUINED BY US, YES US!!
@peacesells The lyrics do go with the video, she will take it back is about mother earth. I pushed her to the limits to see if she will break. Its saying were destroying the earth and one day she will take it back. Listn to again and think of it makes sense what hes saying. Its not about a girl tho it comes off like.
I think Roger Waters dissed on the new Pink Floyd calling David Gilmour's lyrics "third-rate" or something, but on the contrary I actually enjoyed this song.
PLEASE remove the "dislike" field (thumb down) so there should be no comments about folks who missed the "like" field. i'm sick and tired of running into them comments. majority of people are here to relax and enjoy the music, some video, sport news and the minority is distracting us who are here to enjoy with their stupidity.

Now I have seen the warnings, screaming from all sides
It's easy to ignore them and G-d knows I've tried
All this temptation, it turned my faith to lies
Until I couldn't see the danger or hear the rising tide
She can take it back, she will take it back some day
I think we are seeing the waring signs this year with all this heat everywhere in the world something is happening. Maybe this is the start of her claiming back what is rightfully hers. we can only hope she is..we need to go!
"Her love rains down on me, easy as the breeze, I listen to her breathing and it sounds like the waves on the sea". I must confess, i've used that in a few love letters in my day. Thanks David.
Funny, I listened to this song right after I had my heart broken, and it illustrated my plight exactly. :\ If only I'd listened to this earlier I might not be in the same situation. (I couldn't as I lost my ipod lol) don't you hate it when Songs/Movies/Books/Plays seemingly act out basically what is happening to you right then? That is whats so great about Pink Floyd, their music is so easy to connect to in any situation. And thats why their music shall forever be the best music in the world.
The song "Take it Back" is the ideal anthem for the environmentalist movement. The lyrics perfectly convey the truism that our relationship with nature is symbiotic, and not one where we rule over nature. We should respect nature the way we should respect other people. Just as a person who is disrespected can reciprocate by disrespecting us, a world in which we constantly exploit the land will be one in which the environment "takes back" the very gifts that allow us to thrive.

Twisted love song! ....... I like this part --And I push her to the limit to see if she will break-- I was surprised what a great song they made (without Roger Waters)! The Division Bell is good pop songs collection. No total concept, but filled with good lyrics and melodies. Please make NEXT album, with or without Roger!!
@distrojer85 yeah this song is mint. I can listen to other music for months on end thinking i've found something new or special but then i can return to this and it's a breath of fresh air everytime
I've read bad reviews of pulse - but i think its a quality album.
Such a great song of the best band of the world...and wise words. Earth is starting to take back what we have taken from her, what we have polluted and damaged....
@Mrgalacticone it's spinning at 1000 mph approx, it varies and the earth is 24,000 miles circumference hence the 24 hr clock.... and the force that keeps us on the earth is gravity and it is the weakest force known. It keeps planets in place but doesn't stop you raising your arm.... but it makes things fall.
@gipperjohnboy Its spinning fast, its moving through space even faster, Point I'm trying to make is, I don't know about you mister, but you think your standing still, I can feel it.
Syd Barret was the muse which lit the fires which became phase two of pink floyd...he was like zeus's daughters to all poets...my thoughts will always be with syd...just listen to terapin or golden hair from madcap of laughs God bless you Syd none of this would have been possible without you....
I absolutely love this song. Don't you think it sounds a bit like Marillion's "The Release" though? I think you can find the live version of it on YT too.
I like all of Pink's work. Mostly their earlier works such as Ummagumma, and Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast. However I also enjoy the independent works of Waters or Gilmour as stand alone productions.

@Matheson117X sorry if your a yank but it tends to be the americans that grab onto 'DSOTM to the wall era'. when it went pear shaped between RW and DG the US took sides with roger and everything after he left was 'average'.
the true fans (such as myself) love everything from 'the piper...' to 'the division bell' and everything inbetween from 'ummagumma' to 'momentary lapse...'
@deano1161 I am actually Canadian and I too love all of them. Each band member brought different things to the Pink Floyd table. Waters had lyrical brilliance, Gilmour brought emotion with his guitar skills, Wright gave us a side of Floyd that we rarely see (ex: Summer '68, Remember A Day), and Mason held everything together (seeing as he was the only member to remain with the band from "Piper" to "Division").
It's a shame that they only were able to maintain an equilibrium for only a few years.
@Matheson117X I am proud to say that I have recently become one of the fans who listens to all of their music. In fact, i am on this video just finishing up a playlist that has every single song of every single pink floyd studio album. It's a few hours long if you wanna check it out..... Sure beats watching a movie XP
2012 was a terrible piece of crap... and don't give me thumbs down, i'm just saying what i think... a movie cant be great just because the special effects are good... look at the ending, it was fucking horrible!!
One of their best later songs, and a powerful message to respect the environment. I didn't think of it before when I've watched this video, but now wondering if the baobob tree is supposed to be like the Norse Yggdrasil (World Tree).
This uses an echoing string pluck similar to their Run Like Hell (The Wall, 1978). U2 capitalized on that technique for several songs (modifying it a bit). U2 has enjoyed more airplay and commercial success, and they tend to get credited with originality that isn't theirs.
Other than that one characteristic, I don't hear any other similarities.
wow es increible la vibra q emite esta cnacion es la primera vez q escucho esta de pink ployd. I love it so much, this song is very relax. the future music
@azeca Actually U2 was started in the 1970s; It was not until the 1980s, however until they became successful and known to the world with their Joshua Tree Album.
this is a good song to mother earth and I respect the floyd for making this song. I hope she can take it back. But after all the wallmart stores, shopping malls, refineries and tons of plastic garbage in the ocean, I have my doughts.
To all you crazy David Gilmour haters out there you can go fuck yourself because the man has talent !!! and i don't think that Pink Floyd would be as famous without him and, the unfortunate loss of Syd Barrett from the band which was what sculpted them from a group of visionaries heavily influenced by the 1960s early acid scene into The band we all know and love today . god or wat ever bless the Pink Floyd i can't imagine the person i would be today without them.
Sorry guys but this is one of the best songs Floyd has ever done, with or without Roger Waters. It was such a new direction for them and had an actual happy vibe to it. Such a fitting idea as they new it would be their last album. Going out with more of a positive vibe in one of their songs.
And for those who didn't know . . this song was meant to have a double meaning. Both of mother earth AND the problems Gilmour was having with his wife.
dont insult people uz its not their favorite album, so what, people are entitled to their opinion. i think its one of their better ones but hey, thats me
Some are right, i didn't so much care for the Division Bell. No disrespect to Gilmore, but obviously Pink needed Rogers for the lyrics... however i do like momentary lapse.
I honestly only dont care for 1 song out of every song of every album that PF has done as a group with that title. I wont mention it for the risk of offending someone cuz ur all my PF bros and sis's. Ha thats the crazy positive vibe I get from their beautiful music. It just makes me love and appreciate everything and everyone. Each member of PF is or was "living art".
Just noticed your post...now I'm curious..I'll tell you my least favorite if you tell me yours. I was laughing because there is only one I really don't like too. lol
alright Brrrrr43 we have a deal. The sad thing is if our song is not the same song, then we bring up two songs with a negative intention, but what the hell? I dont care that much for their song "money". I beleive its on the darkside album, and I think waters wrote it. One song I dont care for out of at least two hundred or more of the most amazing songs in the universe . They truly are the greatest!
My favorites are Time, Wish You Were Here, Learning to fly and so many others but I would have to say that my least favorite album is Obscured By Clouds. I don't think that the sound is bad or anything but its not as lyrically moving as any of their hit post Syd albums. I just felt like giving you my unwanted opinion but only because I like hearing others opinions as well so share if you plz
I got to like Obscured more as the years went by..My daughter still loves Ummagumma, actually I do too. I love your comments...Their early albums, if you listen carefully, were a sign of what was to come...BTW, I love Meddle :)
it may be a very bad album and a very bad song for you.....in my opinion the song is too 80's style (the reason i love pink floyd is for their 70's psychedelic rock) but it's not like it's crap....it's a preety good song.....as for the album ,it's really good ,so if you've got something nasty to say about something just shut up....its the most intelligent thing to do
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
You know what? I don't even care what pieces of shit like you think anymore. People have the right to say their opinion, no matter how retarded an opinion a dumbass might say. So go ahead and express your opinion, shit fucker.
sebassucc, you are the stereotypical idiot who comes on here to wind people up. Your opinion is irrelevant as it is merely based on criticising 2008AndAYes for being young!! It's clear you don't actually like PF and as for 'reeks of generality'....what sort of pseudo intellectual crap is that....think about it,... it means nothing and is simply copied from some other meaningless piece of waffle. Listen to the lyrics...brilliant.......but only if you have any original thoughts in your head!
I kinda like this album and this song. It's not the best Pink Album album and it's not the worst either, it is their last album though, so enjoy it, because there will never be another.
Pink Floyd has so many great songs, and you choose this as your favorite? This is one of their worst albums, it's hardly a Pink Floyd album. I find it sad that you've either never heard the other songs, or that you are too stupid to realize how much better they are than this rubbish.
I seen Pink Floyd On May 26 1994 at the Cleveland Stadium. I will put it into two words and say that it was, Awesome and Phenomenal, There were all kinds and ages of people there and it was as if we were all one under the stars, It got cold out and started to drizzle rain, and it turned to freezing rain, during Crazy Diamond, and needless to say the visual was spectacular. do with the lyrics of the song??
I think the videos for the Division Bell were left entirely up to the record company.
Doesnt really matter i guess, its a great song nonetheless.

Ok guys. We need to realize that there are 2 types of Pink Floyd fans in the world:
1. The ones who only listen to Darkside till The Wall and have a very limited and baised view of how the Floyd should sound based on these albums.
2. The ones who listen to ALL of their albums and listen to them with open minds.
I can obviously tell who the "'Darkside 2 Wall' Fanboys" are due to their ignorant comments.
I really hope the majority of fans are of the latter...

It's a shame that they only were able to maintain an equilibrium for only a few years.

You forgot about type 3; The kind who are so far gone on acid they think "Atom Heart Mother" is the last Floyd album.

@Matheson117X
what about the fans who listen to not only all the Floyd albums but the solo works of Gilmour, Waters, Mason, and Wright? :-)

I concur. That was one of the worst movies I have ever seen. SFX don't make a movie. The ending made me want to puke it was so bad.

One of their best later songs, and a powerful message to respect the environment. I didn't think of it before when I've watched this video, but now wondering if the baobob tree is supposed to be like the Norse Yggdrasil (World Tree).

My-all-time-favorite Pink Floyd song. soooooo gooodddddd
strikercg 2 years ago
This uses an echoing string pluck similar to their Run Like Hell (The Wall, 1978). U2 capitalized on that technique for several songs (modifying it a bit). U2 has enjoyed more airplay and commercial success, and they tend to get credited with originality that isn't theirs.
Other than that one characteristic, I don't hear any other similarities.

Well, PF was start in 60's years, and influenced rock age.
U2 was start in 80's year and, i guess, was influenced for PF, too.
Nothing against U2, i love Bono and cia...
They're learned very well!!!

@azeca Actually U2 was started in the 1970s; It was not until the 1980s, however until they became successful and known to the world with their Joshua Tree Album.

I LOVE THIS SONG! one of the best post waters songs. mos def!!
lionhasalreadybe 2 years ago 3
Sorry guys but this is one of the best songs Floyd has ever done, with or without Roger Waters. It was such a new direction for them and had an actual happy vibe to it. Such a fitting idea as they new it would be their last album. Going out with more of a positive vibe in one of their songs.
And for those who didn't know . . this song was meant to have a double meaning. Both of mother earth AND the problems Gilmour was having with his wife.

I was laughing because there is only one I really don't like too. lol
Brrrrr43 2 years ago
alright Brrrrr43 we have a deal. They truly are the greatest!
grinderbike 2 years ago
My favorites are Time, Wish You Were Here, Learning to fly and so many others but I would have to say that my least favorite album is Obscured By Clouds. I don't think that the sound is bad or anything but its not as lyrically moving as any of their hit post Syd albums. I just felt like giving you my unwanted opinion but only because I like hearing others opinions as well so share if you plz
AlexandraHutchko 2 years ago
I got to like Obscured more as the years went by..My daughter still loves Ummagumma, actually I do too. I love your comments...Their early albums, if you listen carefully, were a sign of what was to come...BTW, I love Meddle :)

it may be a very bad album and a very bad song for you.....in my opinion the song is too 80's style (the reason i love pink floyd is for their 70's psychedelic rock) but it's not like it's crap....it's a preety good song.....as for the album ,it's really good ,so if you've got something nasty to say about something just shut up....its the most intelligent thing to do

2008AndAYes 2 years ago
Pink Floyd has so many great songs, and you choose this as your favorite? This is one of their worst albums, it's hardly a Pink Floyd album. I find it sad that you've either never heard the other songs, or that you are too stupid to realize how much better they are than this rubbish.
