  • I use to thinkn Gilmore girls and one tree hill and one life to live were the dumest shows in the word but now i love them

  • perfect ending a love this show I will like to by the series but I dont know where.

  • ¡¡¡¡¡ I MISS THEM !!!!

  • Thumbs up If you think Gilmore Girls is the best serie ever !!

  • I love how the first episode of Gilmore Girls ended in the same way <3

  • Honestly this is a great ending. Yeah I would love to know how lorelai and luke wound up but this was the perfect ending...lorelai and rory eating at lukes while luke's nearby watching over them as usual :) <3

  • I got a little disapointed in the end of the last season! I REALLY REALLY REALLY wanted Rory and Logan to be together, and I still don't know about Lorelai and Luke, I guess part of me wanted her to be with Christopher, but I like Luke anyway. But this Rory and Logan thing, they really should get married! What was wrong with the writers when they made Rogan split up? :(

  • I love the way Luke and Lorelai look at eachother in this scene.

  • I'm Currently On The DVDs Seasons 2 & 4 Respectively. & Without That Cast The Gilmore Girls Would Of Flopped.

  • That´s so , so , so sad .

I mean, we watched gilmore girls for 7 years, supported them in the good and bad times, we deserve a real ending.

Lorelai & Luke need to get married, that´s what we have been waiting for 7 season.

and rory and jess should get back together, they were made for each other!

I want another season, or a movie or whatever but the ending of season 7 is just so wrong!

  • This show had one of the best ensemble of actors I have ever watched - especially Kelly Bishop and Richrad Herreman - made me laugh out loud :D

  • they should have ended it with her wearing the necklace AND the engagement ring...so we knew they got back together officially

  • I miss this show!!

  • The scene's in Luke's are my fave's throughout the show :D

  • this was the last scene of the first episode =).

  • awwwww. its the ending of the fist episode is a pan out of rory and lorelai talking and the last episode ends exactly the same thing. i love gilmore girls

  • They should soooo make a gilmore girls movie !!!!

  • This scene makes me sob hysterically. Every time.

  • i love how this scene is like the last scene from episode 1; it's a nice circle like ending

  • @sosha20 That's what I thought I watched this end for the first time!

  • @shooty30891 XD

  • I just got around to watching this entire series, I always caught snippets but wow.. I am an emotional wreck after just seeing this episode. I cried for about 15 mins straight from when they got outta the car, to what Richard said to Lorelai and then Emily even laughing at Lorelai's "spandex" comment on her Friday Night Dinner attire.

Such a brillaintly written show with touching stories and relationships from such interesting characters that I will miss greatly. Brilliant, brilliant TV show.

  • I remember how much I cried when this last episode was on tv. My face was all wet because I just didn't want it to end like that - Luke and Lorelai didn't marry, Logan and Rory broke up - I actually didn't want it to end at all. Still makes me kinda sad, really. It has been such a great show. :(

  • In my mind the show goes on with Lorelai and Luke starting over again, and eventually getting married. Rory leaves to pursue her journalism career, and becomes this star reporter. One day while walking the streets, she runs into Jess who is in town promoting his new book. The two of them start talking again and realize that their love for each other never disappeared so they eventually end up together :) Love or hate it, that's how I'll always imagine it.

  • @sowhat5000 Exactly how i picture it! To me Jess was always the one for Rory. If only they'd make a movie or something so we could finally see this happen!

  • @sowhat5000

fair enough :) In my mind it goes like this:

lorelai and Luke end op working things out and get married, and have kids :) rory pursues her career for about a year, and then runs into Logan again through work. They talk about what happened and rory admits she was just scared and needed more time they realize they love each other & get back together... and she and jess become friends again.... ive always been more of a rogan fan than a rory/jess :) b

  • @sowhat5000 Yep - thats exactly how I see it. Logan was ookkaay, but Rory had that instant attraction and connection only ever with Jess. Thanks, that is how I will think of the conclusion now. :)

  • I luv Gilmore girls soooooo much I wish Lorelei married Luke in a tenth season!!

  • oh so sad, my firends and I cried while watching this episode.

  • they HAVE to make a movie. no acceptions!!!

  • i literally grew up watching this show. i remember watching this when i was 7, it ended wen i was 14, and i still watch them over and over. i love the ending scene how its the exact same ending as the first. this was amazing and funny and lorelai and rory had the best relationship ever, instant mother-daughter chemisty :')

  • LORELAI: I guess there just going to have to read your stuff.

    RORY: I guess so.

    the last lines so amazing

did u know that Amy the writer knew that that was going to be the last lines of the show years before that show acctually ended!

    cool huh!

    I <3 Gilmore Girls

  • @Megz2296 Actually, those weren't the last lines she was talking about. Amy wasn't a part of the 7th season (which was why it was not as good as the rest) and so we didn't see the ending of the show as Amy envisioned it. And Amy said she knew what the last four words of GG was gonna be, so, yeah. I wish we had got to see the ending how Amy envisioned it - I'm sure the fans would be really happy with it, unlike the ending the new writers gave us :/

  • haha I have all seven seasons (yes I am a straight guy) because they are witty, fun, happy, and interesting! anyways, after watching them all I always get use to the guitar song at the end, during the credits, and i was waiting to hear it start and was sad when it didn't. cmon it's the only manly part I have!

  • @alightened I love the show but I can't stand Logan and Taylor should be beaten. Daily.

  • :(

  • shit. i'm crying. again. i only do this every time i watch the finale

  • So sad to see the Gilmore girls gone Bon voyage I loved all the season but hate to see them gone I am going to miss the lorealies

  • they never age! just like the show... i wish there were still tv shows like this >.<

  • This episode always makes me cry. They so should have kept going for at least one more season! GG forever!

  • I just saw the last episode right now AGAIN and I SO CRIED !

I mean, I watch Gilmore Girls every single day, when I wake up and when I go to bed for years and years...

2 , 3, or more episodes per day and I just can't get enough of it!

I grew up with this show, watched it for 7 years, and 4 years later I still laugh, I still cry and it still causes so many emotions !

I just have to say: thank you GILMORE GIRLS. You were and you are my best friends since the beggining and forever...

  • they should have ended it with a fllash forward showing rory as a journalist and luke and lorelai getting married

  • I really hope they find the time to make a Gilmore Girls special. I would like to see how Rory and Lorelai are doing? Is Rory married? Did Luke and Lorelai marry?

  • i wish we could've seen lorelei & luke's wedding!

  • It's alright. Luke is up at 4AM to meet his bread guy.

  • Is sure is sad to see such a great story end.... but, it's true to life. All great stories come to an end.

  • I need closure, DAMN IT! I would be happy even if Luke just touched her shoulder like he used to... then I would be content knowing that they are living happily together again.... *sigh*

  • isn't this what the first episode ended like?!?!?

  • @partygirl209 Exactly, talk about full circle.

  • I cried at this last scene =(

  • @x0xhoneybee0x0 Me too. And I always thought it was so clever. You know. The very end

  • And I know there are people who say that Jess and Rory ever getting together later on in life would be "gross"...but seriously? It really wouldn't be. Sure, when Luke and Lorelai get married, they'd be step cousins, but that doesn't really mean anything. It actually sounds like something that would happen in GG. It wouldn't be a big deal.

  • Gah. I love this show, but the ending...the whole season actually could have been a lot better. It just didn't have that same zing without Amy and Dan. I would love to know what they wanted season 7 to be like,or if they're still interested in making a GG movie. As for Rory being single...that was okay I guess. It always upset me how Jess and Rory's story ended. I'll always imagine them getting together sometime after the finale.

  • Lorelai: Do they make flasks for hot beverages?

    Rory: Ya there called thermoses.

  • it's so sad that this show had to end... :(.. hopefully there is coming a movie or something else... it's just so missed by the fans :(..

I had to cry at the last episode :'(...and I'm still crying whenever I see the last episode

  • I bawled my eyes out during that entire episode. I love them so much haha.

  • i cry everytime i see this episode! I want a movie!! "Take all the time you need" Aah Luke, I love you XD

  • This ending made me cry :'(

  • lauren gramham is in a new tv show called parenthood its amazing cheack it out !!

  • @missyis2kl I LOVE parenthood but then again I love anything with lauren graham in it!!!

  • @missyis2kl Lauren makes the show amazing :)

  • Miss the lorelais!!!!!! :/

  • Still Can't Believe it's Gone I Miss Loreali :(

  • i don't just love Gilmore girls i lovvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvve it really am crying everytime when i see those girls

    ntombo

south africa, wanna add by saying you guys are so lucky overseas cause you got to see girlmore girls, i mean all da seasons and we have to wait until i don't know, its so unfair i wish some could get me the whole video of girlmore girls i'll treasure it for life. if there is someone out there that loves me so much to buy me that video i'd appreaciate that thanx

  • Thumbs up if you think they should make a sequel!

  • Comment removed

  • @sparklegems1 I totally agree with you, they should do a sequel or a movie so that we can find out more... Will they get married and have kids? And what about Sookie and Jackson´s third kid, is it going to be a boy or a girl?

And Zach and Lane´s twin boys, are they going to be rock´n´roll like their parents or church going like their Grandma?

    So many question left unanswered...

  • @wheatherwitch34 All those questions are left in my head to!

I'm watching the whole thing over again. I acctually found the ending quite depressing cos you dont know if Lorelai married Luke, Rory left 'alone'...

eurghhhh. Does Rory meet someone else? Does she bump into Logan? Does Jess come back? Is Lane coping with the twins? haha it should have atleast been made a good ending. So I wouldnt be so puzzled :)

  • @sparklegems1 the final episode ended exactly as the first. with the two of them at luke's while he was behind the counter. it was almost as if the creator was saying, we've come full circle and now the window through which we viewed them is gone.

  • I hated the ending. Rory didnt get together with Jess or Logan.

I didnt get to find out if Luke and Lorelai got married. They should make a sequel!

  • i was expecting a big ending i love Gilmore girls and the ending was kinda disappointing : /

  • Gilmore Girls should never end... We should see how Rory does as a journalist and Lorelay and Luke... :(

  • @Nimphae unfortunately Alexis wanted to move on and Lauren Graham didn't want to work with anyone but her so there go the protagonists =(

  • I think it's sweet how it ends. It's nice and simple and quirkly. It's not trying to hard to be a big ending. It's simple and quirky which is what the show was

  • @oooh55

I think that the point of the ending was the fact that the very first episode started at Luke's and that is where they wanted to end it too.

  • @raven680 I realise thay, buts it's also simple and quirky

  • And so a great show ends the way it began.

  • the last episode ends the same way the very first episode does.

  • @BewareOfWaffles yeaah, i noticed that(:

    very clever they did that.

    it tied everything together<3

  • @ninaweenaa

Also, in the second episode ever, Rory raves that her number one idol is Christiane Amanpour, and in the last episode, she gets to meet her! I think that is just SO clever!

  • @swimmer24100

oh , what a genius these people are(:

  • Titanic didn't make me cry but this did...

  • @Tatertawt24 wow i know right me too lol

  • I think Lorelai have to say I´ll miss you.. Than the end would be okay.. But I hope also for a movie..

  • Anybody else notice how this mirrors the last scene from the first episode? They've come full circle, it's such a cute idea

  • @burtonfan101 I was going to say that!!!

  • @burtonfan101 that was all planned from the creators. They wanted the finale scene to be the same as the finale scene in the series premiere.

  • Awwwwwwww! So sad that it's over :(

  • this always makes me cry this whole episode. Best show !

  • @XshamosasX Thats not true about Lauren Graham and alexis bledel wanted the show to be finished I don't know who told u that and 7 years is a long time to be on tv so how do u know that everyone wanted to show to be finshed

  • @candykid123456 Actually I'm pretty sure Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel did want the show to end. They were probably just ready to move on. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that they were ready for the show to end. In fact I read Lauren Graham sort of contradict herself in an interview once. She said she thought they were all coming back after the finale and then in another part that she asked for changes in the script to "give each character a final moment" in the last rpisode of season 7.

  • im glad that lorelai and Luke ended up together but depressed because it was always always ALWAYS meant to be rory and jess together. They were like seth and summer in the OC, they were perfect together. I think 90 per cent of Gilmore Girl fans probably agree it shouldve been rory and jess in the end.

  • awful, awful, awful ending. rory and logan so should've gotten together. i really hope they will make a movie. the sex and the city movie came out 4 years after the series ended, so there's still hope. =)

  • @lauraheartsmusic oh wow i love you so much for giving me hope that there will be a film. we neeeeeeeeeed a film, they've tortured us for too long we need to see the luke lorelai wedding :(

  • I MISS THE GILMORE GIRLS... =,(

  • this was the best, smartest, most witty, hilarious show ever. it was so sad to see it go. but i loved the last scene. it was very bittersweet. i especially liked how they did it like the end of the pilot.

  • @briarrose456 such a great script, realistic natural dialogue, you dont get that in many shows. and i loved the ending too, so sure theyre saying luke and lorelai work things out. :)

  • I think it's a perfect ending. Love it. "I just like to see you happy". Excellent.......

  • jess should of come back. that would of made it. the show wasn't as good without him.

  • @FetalReincarnation Same. The writers really screwed up by not at least hinting that she would end up with Jess.

  • Wonderfully understated and appropriate.

  • screw you ABC Family and the CW for not making an 8th season and/or movie. Why? This show was freaking amazing.

  • awwwwwwwwwww *cries* I want more gilmore girls!!

It totally makes sense that they ended it in the diner cause thats how they started the show (pretend the walk to the diner was in the diner...woah that'd be weird, but totally Lorelai-esque so...yeah lol)

they REAALY should at least make a movie!! it would be a top seller I'm sure!

  • @SinginPrincessLaura

Well you're right anyway because both the first and last episode ends at luke's dinner with luke taking lorelai and rory's order and lorelai and rory speaking to eachother while the camera slowly zoom out.

  • @Kazu2799 I think it's a smart way of doing it, even tho its not the best series finale, (great season finale tho) its a really great way to wrap things up, with the 3 fav characters all together... I miss this show so much!

  • for me 2 things missing in da ending of dis show........was to see jess n rory get back 2gether n of course a luke n lorelai wedding

  • Personally, I liked the end. It was rushed, yes, but it was nice to end with a throwback to the beginning. And though I would have loved to seen Rory with Jess, because he was my favorite amongst her loves, I think it was best to end with just the two of them, 'The Gilmore Girls'.

  • gilmore girls movie? i think so.

  • Those bastards! they will make a season 8!!!!

  • IN MY HEAD'' GILMORE GIRLS WILL NEVER BE OVER'' NOT UNTIL JESS IS WITH RORY'' or the show sucks!!!

  • Thanx sooooo much! I had never watched it before. I have some closure now....

  • rory and marty would have been cute :) i hated logan..

  • very sad but good :)

  • who did rory ends up wit?

  • @matia77hottie no one

  • It ended EXACTLY where it started. What a cycle!

  • We have to be realistic, this show had some good moments and it wasn't all that great. Kinda like The 7th Heaven.

  • And the part that they DON'T show: Jess is actually in the back, working the fryer, and he and Rory have been in contact since Truncheon. Because we all know that Literati cannot and will not die. It's just that they cut out all the Jess scenes in the interest of keeping the episodes within the time restrictions. And maybe if I keep telling myself (and other people) that, ASP will pick up on the rumors floating on the internet and incorporate it into that movie she keeps promising...

  • i disagree that jess and rory should get back together it would be kinda akward and weird cuz in a twited kinda way they would be related by marraige asuming luke and lorelai get married.

  • i want to see Luke and Loreali married!!

  • @juicaza Yeah, me too!! I hope they do a MOVIE where they marries and have more kids with Rory and April as baby-sitters...

and then their kids could play with Lane and Zach´s twins and also with Sookie and Jackson´s three kids, =)

  • @juicaza I guess we have use our imagination or just know they got married. But I wanted to see them married too.

  • I wondered whether I'd get to see this last episode again before I committed suicide on the night of April5-6 2010; E4 scheduling almost got through the whole last season, but not quite. Something to look forward to, I suppose.

  • so this is the real life and...on and on...life goes on...

  • what was the reference to the necklace? did luke give it to her?

  • @sweetndnchic yeah rory says 'i love ur necklase, t suits u' and lorelai smiles and turns back to luke, indicating he gave it to her, maybe after their kiss :)

  • the bon boyage one was on today and is coming on again tomarrow morning at 10 then the series is starting over again at 4 pm they need to bring the shows back like when or if rory comes back from the campaign

  • I wish there would be a movie. I rewatched these last few episodes, which I always avoid because I hated them the first time around, and it doesn't seem that horrible anymore. But I still wish we got more:( It's still my favorite show.

  • this is like the ending in the first episode which makes me sad

  • It's too bad that we didn't get to see Luke and Lor get together, but we know the characters did this night. This goes down as one of the most perfectly magical finales in TV history in my opinion.

  • @nohollaback no i disagree... rory and logan should have ended together.... that is just sooo gay of me

  • I think the writers messed with our minds too much with Logan's character. He was either really sweet or a real douche bag. Yes there are people in the world like that...but in reality, they're 100% douche who pretend to be sweet to get what they want. I'm glad Rory left to pursue her life and not be tied down to what his career called for. I like to think she ended up with Jess...because I'm a nerd. But the characters were great together - like Luke and Loralei, the timing just wasn't right.

  • Comment removed

  • @nohollaback Yeah but they stayed together for three years. don't you think her character is too smart not to catch up in case he was pretending!! and even when he proposed, she didn't want to end the relationship, she just didn't want to get married

i think he should get credit cause he changed to be better for her!!! i think the writers truly messed up,

on another note jess was a jerk when he first came and he changed too, rory is that person who changes ppl into better versions of themselves

  • It was an unhealthy relationship. Off, on, off, on, and the couple months where it was off the longest, he banged all of his sister's friends.

  • But yes, the writers messed up - but they changed writers near the end and then back again the last season and it really showed.

  • @nohollaback And the show was always criticized for being to harsh on the rich class (i hate to use the word class) but they existed in the show and i think the writers just couldn't end the show with rory being happy with a guy from the rich class.. which would have made her granparents happy.. and god forbids that this show makes the grandparents happy... the writers screwed it up and i wasn't satisfied with the ending

but i do respect your opinion

  • I didn't know it was criticized - never heard that. I know, sometimes I wanted to hug Emily...other times, slap her...but that's family!

  • And it's nice to have a civil conversation with someone online!

  • @nohollaback liewise!! thank u

  • I loved this show, I think that the end was magical, they all work very hard for 7 yrs, to me the final episode means that life continues, it might seems doll but was a very magical end n.n so hope to next on a movie

  • how do they end the best show in the world like this it is so sad to see them sitting in lukes like all the other times

but knowing it is for the last time makes me wanna cry

i have watched every episode and still do , but i want more

lets all pray for a gg movie

  • it is sad that they ended the show, however i think they ended it like this to parallel the end of the first episode where they zoom out like that with Luke pouring coffee in the background.

and ALL fans pray for a movie... though it doesn't seem probable

  • I like that rory said no to Logan he wanted to settle down get married, and have kids or at least thats what he wanted rory to do. he probably still would have worked while rory stayed home. since she said no she gets to have all these great life experiences as a reporter and then one day she will meet somebody else and i love lorelai and luke forever they are perfect and i think it was good that they ended like this

  • They quit because the creator/writer of the series Amy Pallidan-Sherman had quit the year before. Hence, the not so great writing. They did the best they could and I still think the ending was magical. Use your imaginations to believe how their lives turned out.

  • they should have ended it on a wedding or something. like a six months later thing. rory never should have said no to logan

  • i cry..

    i love it...

nerver ending gilmore girls and jess

this show was vrely important in my life..

if i felt bad, I have seen the dvds

    and jess was the best...

    i want more..

  • omg, i was just watching this episode on spanish tv and i started crying! Gilmore Girls is one of the best tv shows ever made..so sarcastic and ironic, so funny and real... :')

  • In my little dream world.. Gilmore girl's is never ending, and Logan and Jess fused into an intellectual ,badboy, daredevil hunk , and I got rid of Rory and he end's up with me.. the end ^_^

    LMAO!

Yeah... they ended it...then again..every TV series always ends with NOTHING you wanted... could be worse..it could be like one of those tv shows that are never ending and go on for like 50 years, and u could have passed on without finishing the gilmore girls series at all - that would be tragic!!

  • Let's send letters to the writers please. Don't shut down the idea. I am sure she might consider doing a GG movie if she see's how many fans want to see it happen. So who is with me? Let's just not raise our hopes up too high because if we do things could turn out for the worse.....Let's take the risk and chance to write to her....Please :)

  • i completely agree... actually, well.. i dunno. if they cared at all, gilmore girls wouldnt be over right now. alexis and lauren quit and I doubt they are oblivious to the die-hard fans like us :P... if they cared at all, they wouldn't have quit. and alexis herself said that she wanted to try new things and that she didn't miss GG at all... ugh. But, nevertheless, we can try?

  • I really love gilmore girls and i really would like to have a season eight but they didn't want to.. i can't understand it...

  • ... some problem with MONEY. ru serious?! Money? I think they have enough. Couldn't come to terms with their salaries... ugh. They so owe us fans. They have an obligation to us.

  • they dont have any obligation to YOU!!!

they are their own people. are they not allowed to move on in their lives? its easy for you to want an episode, but they have devoted 7 years of their daily lives to the show, its hard work and you get little down time to make other projects or do other things. they want to move forward in their career.

  • i agree w/ that but what about letting down the millions of fans they have? im not saying that they shouldn't move on with their lives - but just letting a show end like this, when it deserved so much more is wrong. and they do have some obligation to us - where would they be without their fans?

again, they obviously shouldnt devote their lives to us but one more season or even a few more episodes so things would be "final" wouldnt kill them... (cont.)

  • ... yes, they have devoted 7 yrs to this show.. which is why letting it end on such a crappy note is wrong.

  • THIS is why I now hate Lauren and Alexis. THEY were the ones who didn't want to come back to the show, everyone else was willing. How could they do that?! This show has been a part of them for 7 YEARS.

This was their breakthrough show, and THEY let it end this horrible way. Why?! And don't they have some obligation to their fans? Their fans, who have supported them through and through, they disappointed us. They owe us and this great show a better ending than this. And apparently, there was

  • freak

  • ok i really don't think that it should have ended here. they should have had at least one more episode.

  • this would have been perfect if only jess was there.. i want my own jess. why oh why didn't she keep hers?

  • omg jess sucks!

  • Agh so mad it ended that way :(

  • if only rory and jess got back together would have made the series complete for me

  • @FatalReincarnation i cant tell you how much i agree with that.

  • @FatalReincarnation Completetly agree with you...they were just...the best
