I like this, but I think you're too choppy. A smidgen off tune, but all over, you are excellent. Do you have a voice teacher? If not, you should. You could go places if you get training.
Make sure to watch your runs. Many times when singing a run by another artist it's better to just make it your own instead of trying to replicate their run.

you really put your own spin on this -- i enjoyed it very much =)
you do have a great voice and with some better recording equipment (as you mentioned) you would sound even more amazing i am sure :-)
