@milldabeast519 most cars and smaller trucks have a vent system on the top of the trans casing or a hose that only goes the the body or frame rail, but thats all any easy fix these were never ment to do this repeatedly same goes for all stock cars and trucks from landrovers to f350s and thing built from 90s to current isnt worth a damn off road, take a 3 grand truck drop about 16 grand in and ull be ready to play with the rest of us real off roaders, check out my bronco if ya dont believe me

@sm32586 the escape is a peice of shit . it was written offf(totalled) doing 20kph.theres lots of vehicles out there that are great for offroading that are made after the 90s. my 94 buick would do this river crossing better then that escape.landrover/ cruisers would own this thing u dont know what ur talkn about!

i have an 01 ford escape, i put a performance chip in it that i got on ebay for like 15 bucks, it saves money on gas and it gos way faster, im fixing to put some magna flows on it, and i want a 305, i could do a 350 but the car isnt heavy enough, it would flip

most engine configurations have the alternator at lower levels.

the alternator killer is temperature, not water.

@bigblockstang Well, theyre made for slight offroading but nothing super extreme. I own a 2001 Ford Escape XLS V6 4WD. It's pretty tough. And can take a slight trail, but not much more than an 07 Dodge Nitro can when you don't remoe the spoilers.A little more, but not by much. It can take on the god awful Wyoming winters and rutts for roads, but isn't made for going through deep water or over sharp rocks. That's when you pull out the F250 Superduty.
