@moneshmahtani This show was actually made by Sony(before Disney bought Marvel). And even if so, they have nothing to do with the decisions Marvel makes. They just get to collect a nice check every month and be able to reap other rewards of the license.

Such a shame that the movie's final duel didn't really live up to what we were expecting. Don't get me wrong, there are some pretty cool fights, but we're talking about Venom - Spidey's greatest nemesis.

I figure that the final bout between a hero and his archenemy should be the most awesome.

No he didn't in the original cartoon. They made him a wuss! He couldn't fight worth a damn either in the 90's cartoon.

@divorcecourse Yeah, he took far more abuse in this show. Most of the fight scenes in TAS just consisted of grappling and throwing. Infact in a few episodes of the 90's show Spidey gets hit once and then he's beat or too weak to carry on fighting. But Spidey in this show gets punched alot, chucked through buildings, gets slammed against walls or cars etc and yet he still gets up and carries on fighting. All of this punishment probably would have killed the 90's Spidey.
