A Touhou RPG does sound like fun, but not like this. I would say it can work as an action RPG to maintain the danmaku apsects.

Not that hard to make, considering I've done something like that once before. But it sure as hell time consuming. I wouldn't do a Touhou one simply because I wouldn't want to put so much effort into something that would be non canon.
