  • Well done, the frequency and intensity of the hiccup gives an indictication of pungency. You ate a whole bhut jolokia that is twice as hot as I have had. Ears go on the hot ones I am waiting to see yes eyes. Been there done that it's great and healthy for you.

  • If you are starting from seed, you need a seedling heat mat to keep the soil at an even temperature for proper germination. They will take from 14 to 59 days to germinate. After transplanting, keep them under a strong light or in a sunny place until it is time to set them out. Check them daily for moisture, just don't let them stand in water, and wait until the top inch or so of soil is dry before you water them. Pollination can be tricky. Let me know if you have more specific questions.

  • I eat them, of course!! Totally addicted to the Jolokias, I don't really eat a meal without some in it. I dehydrated most of them, and ground them up in the blender, use it as a flavor shake on most anything. I have about 2 gallons of dried Jolokia in my freezer. I also blended up 20-30 of the fresh ones in a bottle of Crystal hot sauce, I am down to the last half bottle of that out of five that I made in September. Next year I will have to plant more than the 98 plants I had this year.

  • Dude! That is a really a good camera! I only ate half of a bhut jolokia and I have to say, good job for eating the hole thing and it was a giant bhut! The pain is REALLY BAD! I know.... You could have gargled some coffee temp hot water and that helps for sure.

  • Yeah, that was the Crystalokia, made by simply filling a blender jar with fresh Bhut Jolokia peppers, dumping in a bottle of Crystal hot sauce, and blending it up. There were about 15 Jolokias in that bottle!!!

  • hell yeah. that was a huge one! nice job dude. the dna profile actually shows it to be a hybrid between capsicum chinense and capsicum frutensc which is very strange. hell of a good job though!
