I find the people who take what he said as offensive as moronic idiots who do not understand sarcasm. If you watch this video, not the stupid edited version where what he says is taken out of context, his opinions towards the strike were positive, even if slightly humerus. His 'offensive' remarks were made in order to balance the argument since that is what the BBC is all about, balance. He does so in an exaggerated and comic way, if you can't see that you are a fool.

He has done loads for Help for Heroes and other charities and through top gear has shown people that places like Iraq, Botswana, Bolivia etc are actually NOT what people think of them, but they are stunning, peaceful places to live.
