  • My mother kissed Larry Stewart at a concert in front of my father, at my father's suggestion. I got the picture to prove it

  • Restless Heart a great band that you never hear from any more.

  • Thanks for your service, Ralph. They don't make soldiers like they used to either.

  • Oh man does this song bring back memories!!!!

  • I love country music even though I live in thug and rap lovin Los Angeles. I was born here but can't wait to move to where there are lots of small towns, green pastures, horses, and cowboys.

  • ONE OF THE BEST BANDS AND SONGS IN HISTORY. I SO WISH THEY'D MAKE A COMEBACK TOUR. BA-DA-BING! I'M THERE.

  • Undoubtedly, one of the BEST bands of all-time!! I love love love their music!!!

  • @btownmxer, you got that right! You'll look far and wide to find country music that has as much character as these guys put into a song. I really like that way they bring the studio to the stage.

  • Miss all you guys.... and especially my baby (Dario) The worlds best Sound Man around.... Many Many happy days with these guys.... Alot of good memories and I wouldnt trade-em for the world !! :-) Now I got him forever (married him) and will never let go !! :-) HA

  • best country group of all time

  • Quite simply, they don't make bands like this anymore. Each member had an area of expertise - and that truly shines through in their music. From Larry Stewart's lead vocals, to the Hornsby-esque piano of Dave Innis, to John Dittrich's flawless drum work, these guys did what bands were supposed to do. Each member performs his individual job at such a high level, that when you hear them TOGETHER, the result is a sound like this video. Now THIS is music...

  • @LittleFeatWillin And don't forget Paul Gregg's rough vocals to add his unique edge to the songs that they really rocked out in, not to mention John Dittrich's nearly unique ability to sing AND play drums at the same time! Few in the industry have ever been able to do that. But the ones that come to mind put John in league with talents none other than Don Henley, Phil ollins, and believe it or not, Karen Carpenter!

  • @runnkd You also forgot to mention Levon Helm from the Band. He sings and plays the drums simultaneously, too!!! :-)

  • @zackman2 John Dittrich was the drummer!!

  • one of my favorite songs by Restless Heart, but I like there other hits too

  • i Luv this song....

  • One of the best songs ever.....

  • In my opinion, the greatest country band of ALL time!

  • I don't know what the words mean exactly, but I think I get the gist: he has a soft spot for loose women, and one such woman stole his heart. Great song!

  • I used to think the Eagles exemplified harmony excellence. Then Restless Heart came along and redefined harmonies!!! I was over the moon when I first heard this group, babbling constantly about their vocals and musicianship, running out to buy their albums as they became available, singing along with all the hits -- what happy memories, and listening to (and watching) their videos here on You Tube is happy./sad, There's been no one since to compare with Restless Heart. No one.

  • @foreverspring no band ever fails when Mutt Lange helps produce and/or write songs

  • Some of the best harmonies ever came from this group....Sad Larry left at the wrong time and doomed the band during what could have been their best time to be way bigger than any band of that time or ever.......

  • they are the all time king male group no one has evr came closeto these guys and probably never will

  • One of my all time favorite songs. Perfect production, great performance and a truly touching song. I never get tired of it.

  • once, a guy sent me this song. at the time I thought it was a 'good' song, but now realize; I guess it was a cut down for me.

  • @MargieDobbins I don't know Margie, I have an old flame out there who epitomized this song, yet I never meant it as a cut-down. I loved her, couldn't help it, right from the very start. And there was no way she was ever going to love me the same way. That was decades ago, and my heart STILL aches. But just because she came into my life, bowled me over and then was gone, there are no hard feelings. She just ran me down like a fast movin' train. Maybe that's what HE meant.

  • @runnkd I feel you, man. hope you recover. I really appreciate country & western for its beauty. some brothas in the 'hood were lookin' at me funny because I blew Restless Heart out of my speakers. my answer, "Yeah, and what?"

  • @MargieDobbins ------actually it can be , good.. cause sometimes.. a person hit your heart like a fast moving train and u fall in love with them.. if it all works out.. u get to be together..

  • Their best song! Absolutely stunning!

  • Top40 country was goo, until about 8 years ago. Once Rodeo an Burning Briges stoppe being rotate...it died completely

  • I stopped listening to top forty country around the mid 90's. I just flat out lost the love for it. I miss bands like Restless Heart, and many more from this time in country music. I'm not saying that all of its bad now, but it is most certainly is not the same.

  • I have to ask Ralph73 any Waylon over there? He is my love. Anyway, thank you. I was just trying to find anything I like country over the last 20 years, hard to do, Johnny and Waylon are gone, not much left.

  • This is one of my favorite songs in the world. I couldn't stop listening to it when it first came out.

  • who ever wrote this song it is sheer genius.

  • @RJiminez51 exactly my thoughts also wonderful music has restless heart...

  • i have a few cousins like the woman described in this song.

  • RH hit #4 in Billboard, 3-10-90. God bless!

  • @Ralph73..jam on my brother!

  • I was in the music business when this band was big....they don't make them like this anymore!!!..... Bad management messed up many good acts back then!!

  • Ralph73 you are awesome. Thanks for your service!

  • some of these guys were the "doobie brothers."

  • @kentuckybelle01, I believe that was Southern Pacific.

  • thank you Ralph73

  • this music and band will never get old...I love it!

  • Great Great Music. A lot of guys and gals in the music industry need to go back and see what real music was and is. I think theyve all been blinded by the music videos........Not much talent out there now just eye candy.

  • lve with her and Can't look in her eyes and She's out of my league and She's taken my heart But she doesn't know what she's done and Am I just fooling myself That she'll stop the pain and Living without her and I'd go insane and when you look at me that way and No matter how I try to convince myself and this t

ime I won't lose control and one look in her sad eyesand suddenly my heart can't tell you no

  • I'm 77 years old and have two IPOD shuffles, a 1 gb with 200 songs and a 2 gb with 400 songs. Restless Heart is one of my all time favorite bands, and Fast Moving Train is on both of my IPODS. I think it is the best song from this very talented group. I was in the Air Force from 1951 until 1971, and sure wish this technology had been available to me when I was serving in Morocco, Pakistan, Libya and Germany.

  • Thank you for your service, Raplh!

  • @runnkd Here here! thank you from this Senior Airman in Japan!

  • @Ralph73 Thanks from here in Canada also Ralph73.

my family was there with you..Job well done.

  • @Ralph73 I'm retired Air Force and I agree with this song and the group. God Bless You Ralph and thanks for YOUR service!

  • @Ralph73 Ralph, to echo what others have said, thank you for your service to our country. They don't make music like this anymore...

  • @Ralph73 you have exactally 2 more i-pods than me and I'm 38

  • this is the best male group of all time there will probably never be a male gruop that will come close to what they had

  • this is country music

  • AWSOME song!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • awesome song.not a country fan bujt these guys are awesome.

  • I always loved this. one of my favorite songs

  • This song makes me think of a girl from my past, She loved me and then left me. I wonder if she ever thinks about me like I think of her when I hear this song

  • This what REAL country music sounds like. Damn good song!

  • keep posting up the good country music, that actually has a western twist!!

  • I don't think there will ever be another Country band as great as Restless heart.

  • This is real country, brings back memories when i was stationed at Ft. Sill , OK and listening to real music. i would sit in the veening s and look t the Wichata Mts.

  • @skyethor I was military too, 1989 - 1993. From a vet to a serviceman - Thank You for your service.

  • @runnkd i wasnt in the military, but i want to thank both of you for my protecting my freedom.

  • @skyethor Altus AFB 1998-2001 Also have family retired Artillery from Ft. Sill.

  • @skyethor

Mt Scott is gorgeous. I wish I could be back in Lawton too. It was the first town that's ever really felt like home.

  • I love Restless Heart. I saw them in concert twice. They really made great music!

  • I love the song, the video and the fact Larry Stewart is playing a Yari- representing the Alvarez!

  • I went to a Restless Heart concert when they were opening for Kenny ROgers back in late 80's i think. Great vocals. They harmonize so well. Kenny spent most of his time talking... RH sang. They were great... oh the memories...

  • i miss when country had heart. not the package stuff from nashville

  • I agree, Nashville is just another lamestream media.Trying to tell us who is number 1. The fans should tell them who is number 1.

  • good song and band i am 23 and wish more country bands and music were more like this

  • AWESOME !

  • Im sorry Guys but todays country doesn't touch this stuff!

    Thanks for the post

  • Man, you got that right!

  • @btownmxer

I will second that..you nailed it!!

  • @btownmxer well what about Rascal Flatts,, they are not bad,, but I am almost 90% agree with you,,,

  • @btownmxer You got that right.. What happend to Country music..

  • @btownmxer You are right!

  • I saw them in Macon ,Ga in 1987. They opened for Alabama and for a 16 year old with front row tickets it was the best concert I have attended.

  • Whatever happened to these guys? I always loved them.

  • They are still performing. I saw them in Fayetteville, AR in October and again last night in Claremore, OK. They are still awesome!!

  • where at in Claremore? Im originally from Pryor.. Been to Claremore many times. In OKC now

  • love this band!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! rem when they came out dam i'm old. lol lol

  • Hey Veronica!! Don,t feel bad I'm old too but are'nt they good?.

  • One of the best under-rated bands ever. I saw them at a concert at a fair just before their break up. For what ever reason I told the wife "I hope they don't break up...they'll never last". A couple of months later...poof...no more RH. So sad.

  • Um, they're still together, touring, and making records.....

  • I played for 25 years and have been out of it since 95. I do realize they got back together but didn't know they stayed. Thanks.

  • @fldinosaur: They are still together. I saw them at a dancehall over Christmas break. It was definitely the same guys :)

  • My absolute favorite Restless Heart song. I played this song a million times back in 1990. Thanks so much for posting.

  • absolutely love this song and band. Where has the music gone. There is some left but not much honestly.

  • Comment removed

  • just a reflection of time taking me back to a girl that fits the description of a "Fast moving train" Hello Diana!!!!

  • saw 'em twice in Hobbs N.M. super show both times!!!

  • The emotions these guys play with in this song are absoutly amazing...They tell one heck of a story for alot of people...There is alot of meaning in this song for me also...Way to go everyone.

  • there's a lot meaning in this song, you just got to listen they just don't make county like this anymore I know I've got my own fast moving train!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • A timeless classic. Thanks for posting.

  • This IS one of my favorite songs of all time.

  • This song takes me back to Stugeon Lake in Northern Ontario catching Lake Trout. We had a sterio in our boat people knew we were there for the fish and great music.. One of the best bands ever.

Keep playing music for us and never stop.

  • This takes me right back to the spring of '90. Boone County West Virginia , those alcoholic boys from Julian , (you know who you are ) what a blast !

  • Great song

  • LoVe ThIs SoNg :=)

  • LOVE these guys, they are still totally awesome, and they still blow me away!

  • I just lied on another song about one minute ago, when I put the title in, it didnt not return with the video. I thought it was deleted, so I am sorry. Best Song!!!! I remember hearing this when it first came out when I was 11. I LOVED IT SINCE THEN!!!!!

  • love this song! these guys are amazing singers!

  • I love this song!! thanks so much for sharing!!

  • Just gorgeous. Thanks.

  • i hve gone thru this and still goin thru this, this soong makes a loot of sense for girls who are materialistic and take feelings for granted...

  • Country music just isn't the same as it was in the late 80s and early 90s. Granted George Strait it still out there recording; but, what's happened to greats like Restless Heart, etc, etc, etc, etc!!!

  • I always loved this song but to be honest its just as haunting as the bluest eyes in texas but can someone plse help me? I don't know what this song is about?

  • He's likening the effect the woman had on him to being hit by a train. Her power over him from the beginning, the power she had over his emotions, and the devestation of his broken heart after she left him, all happened as fast, and as tragicly, as if a train wreck had happened inside his chest.

  • I just went through this. His words dont' fall upon deaf ears.

Your statement is very very true.

  • Great explanation of the song.

  • Metaphorically speaking, she is the train that runs over him .

  • Second-best one they ever did. Nobody could have done either of them any better, or moved me any more than they did, with their renditions of them.

  • No, you don't hear music like this anymore. You got that right.

  • That was a great CD but does anyone know the name of it?? You don't hear music like that anymore.

  • The name of the CD was Fast Movin' Train, this was the title track. It was released in late 1990. I still remember; I was still in Navy boot camp at the time and happened to hear this song for the first time on the radio at the field house. Couldn't wait to get out so I could go buy the tape... :-)

  • Gosh..... it's ashame that we don't hear good country music like this anymore. Songs like this one in particular with that dance beat, and the one you just want to turn up and hit the road to.

  • One of the BEST country Bands from the Mid 80s till the Mid 90s, wish they would come back

  • OMG!!! This is my favorite song from the best time of my life!!! I love this song and video!! Thank you so much for posting!!!

  • Actually Larry Stewart left the band in 1992 at the peak of the bands success to pursue a solo career. He reunited briefly in 1998 for 3 new tracks on a greatest hits album and later rejoined the band in 2002. They are one of my favorite country bands of all time and no telling how great they could have been although like you said they are back together. Thanks for the video, it's one of my favorite Restless Heart songs.

  • great, very underrated band with a string of hits...lead singer left and that was it, just like lonestar...egos, why don't they stay together and keep making great music?

  • Larry Stewart left the band only for a little while to be home with his family more. He has long-since re-joined the band, they are back together, making music, and touring.

  • This is one of the best groups of the 1980 and 1990s, too bad the lost steam when Larry Stewart left

  • i seen them in philly in 86 or 87 they opened for alabama and they put on a great show

  • I'm almost 15 but I love this group and Song

  • This is one of my favorite Videos! Thank you For it!

  • Mine, too. Glad you enjoyed it.

  • This is my all-time fav song/video from my all-time fav band.

And Greg is just total gorgeousity here. The stuff of which dreams/daydreams are made....

omg - Larry is a dead-ringer for my little brother! eek! Too cute!

  • This is my all-time fav RH song/video.

And Greg is just total gorgeousity here. The stuff of which dreams (and daydreams) are made of..)

I have to stop in & see it every time I'm online!

~MistyMoppens (a fan since Day One)

  • Well, just get things right, it was Minnesota Fats (Rudolph Wanderone) in the video. He actually lived just up the right from my home here in southern Illinois (Dowell) for the past 40 odd years. He has now passed on. He use to shoot pool with the students from SIU for beers at a local pool hall, real character.

  • not to be critical dasche, but i think it was Minnesota fats,

  • I ove this song I am a older and New Country Sort of Boy and I am only 14 years old

  • First saw this video when I was stationed at Ft. Hood Texas. Helped draw me to country music...good stuff

  • Memories of younger days in the clubs,Daltons in Conroe ,Texas.

  • I love Restless Heart, this song is one of my favourites. Thanks so much for uploading :)

  • Nice song !

Somewhat along the lines of "Seven Turns" by the Allman Brothers

  • awesome song

  • Bringing back some memories her also..

    I still love this song.

  • Brings back memories of a bittersweet time in my life. March 1990-October 1990. I was so madly in lust with T. Steadman. I can still see him and all the feelings we shared. But oh well.....

  • I rode a bus for 24 hours straight to see Melanie Sampson, all the while listening to this song over and over, which had only that week been released. I feel you......

  • yes i know how you feel or felt

  • This cd/cassette was amazing... so many great tracks.

  • I just tonite saw these guys perform in Abilene, Texas at the West Texas Rehabilitation Center telethon. They were superb. Performed all their hits, and were extremely down to earth and gracious. If you get a chance to see them live: DO IT!!!

  • Thanks, Restless Heart for helping me tell Rochelle how much I love her.

  • Larry Stewart & the guys are still the best in the business, with timeless songs & lyrics. All these guys need is some radio airplay with some fresh songs, they are as good as any country group out there.

  • The woman in this video is too skinny. I like a gal with some meat on her.

  • thanks for the video

  • great video! Great song!!

  • I love this song

  • They are the best of all time ! Thanks for posting.

  • i love this song bc i know some guys who are the same way. my heat got shattered by one :(
