Another of my absolute favorite operas. I always refer to this opera as conveying the SPIRIT of Russian history. I nver considered that Boris would or could be so modernized. So far, I prefer Russian voices and other productions, but I am keenly interested in this production. Thanks for another fabulous post.

Oops, my prior comment was intended for a modernized Pape/Vienna post, but you get the idea. I love this performance and watch it frequently.
