@raj16sep "In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God. And the word was God. The same was in-uh the beginning with God." "All things were made that have been made. Nothing was made He has not made." "All Things were made by him All things were made by him." These phrases repeat themselves accordingly in row format by the various voice parts. And while the sopranos are singing "all things were made" the baritones repeat the word "Him." It would probably make more sense with a sheet.
Evilution was most definitely THE basis for all their plans "improving" on mankind (see history books).
Just as it is your foundation of life (aka religion): we're a conicidence, there is no truth, so YOU decide for yourself what's right and wrong ;)
Isaiah 5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! 21 Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!
@lxplmp Thats Social Darwinism, and its a concept that is falsely based on Darwin's Theory.
My life is not "founded" on evolution. You take germ theory to be true right? But you wouldn't say your life is "founded on germ theory".
And who is the more wise in his own eyes? The man who says he knows the truths of our universe because he has a personal relationship with its creator (you), or he who goes by what he can observe and knows he can't know anything for sure? (me)
@JLMoriart If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice!
Practically most people that follow your religion -or call it attitude, philosopy, the results are the same- means that they (and I do not necessarily mean you) agree with ANYthing.
That's why for the last +/- 60 yrs we are witnessing a disproportionately high rise of what the Bible clearly identifies as sins / abominations (e.g. fornication, adultery, sodomy, abortion, drug abuse) in the name of tolerance.
@lxplmp We dont agree with ANYthing. Morality is not only derived from the bible. We all know intuitively whats right and wrong.
I know that what two other people do with their private parts is no business of mine, regardless of their genders. I also know that things like murder and theft are, generally, wrong. But I also know that if a sniper takes out the psychopath in a hostage situation, that that sniper shouldn't be sentenced to an eternity of suffering for violating "thou shalt not kill".
@JLMoriart True - imagine all the blind faith followers of the foolish religion of evolution!
I thought the "fruits" of that obvious hoax (Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini etc.) would keep folks from blindly trusting these the fairytales of uncle Darwin... Imagine that some even say that is has been founded in the 1850s, although it's nothing more that ancient Hinduism.
"The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God." (Psalm 14:1)
@lxplmp Evolution is not a religion, just as the theory of gravity is not a religion. Both are models explaining how things work, not prescriptions of daily life and moral codes. So regardless of of whether or not Hitler Stalin and Mussolini accepted the Darwinian theory, it wouldn't influence their life choices. Religion, OTOH, does prescribe a code that influences decisions. Think holy wars, hate crimes/groups, etc. Nothing like that EVER occurred *in the name of* Darwinian evolution.
My Middle School sang this song, and this was a great song! This choir did an exceptional job and their vowels were very well rounded. You could understand everything they were saying and they blended very well. The tempo is suppose to be this fast, but conductors choose to slow the tempo down sometimes to either give it affect to the audiance, or just because they think its too fast. I think this choir did an amazing job.
I believe this is the best choir that I have heard sing this song and Im not saying this just because im from Mississippi. I like its faster tempo. This was written by a talented African American woman composer Dr. Rosephanye Powell of Auburn University and i think this choir expresses the way Dr. Powell wants it to be.
@ xtremind84- not that I'm wanting to start anything, but your comment is beyond farfetched. First, I saw the video of your group... Amateur. And your guys are very shouty with poor dynamics. So you might want to lower your number from a million. Also, Dr. Meadors personally talked with Dr. Powell about his piece as a recent performance in LA and Powell congratulated Dr. Meadors on actually doing this piece the way it's suppose to be done. Looks like the tempo was right after all.
I'm so excited to sing this for our choir performance...but yea, it is too fast and the diction is bad...they threw me off while I was trying to sing along :(
This was not good at all. My high school concert choir with only a third of their members sung this song a MILLION times better. Sorry. I guess once you hear a song sung correctly, anything else sounds terrible. If you want to hear how this song should sound, please with my YouTube page. It's listed under the Northwestern High School Concert Choir.

I've always liked this song. The words get kind of repetative, but the arrangement is amazing. Very intense.
