what's upwith these asshole religious groups and why can't they leave people the fuck alone ... everywere you go they have toshow up in groups and preach their silly ideas and fake morals
A god would have not desired huge reptilian creatures roaming the Earth for millions of years...who were more concerned about scavaging the planet for their next meal than in worshipiing a deity. wake up people...this is 2012...fairy tales fairy tales.
@avalon47222 I am just pointing out that people are told fairy tales and indoctrinated with religious ideas that are lies. But many are waking up and finding the real truth about the history of mankind.
my guess is that god created something all of the sudden and that became into something that eventually became life and evolved on its own and with that it created also different places and even universes and crap and we just got lucky in evolution and life that peaple were made :P
@megashadowwii As we presently gentically modify animals and plants...we are a product of the same thing. That is why our DNA can be intermatched with animals DNA...A God did not create man...but another species did...! It is a shame, this life is so short and people don't take the time to study human history and documents outside of religious texts.
When we say everything has a purpose; are we saying that purposefulness is why we exist?
What if, just like Quantum Mechanics proves, we only perceive what is real because we can 'sense' it; then, are we deluding ourselves by ignoring such diverse beliefs, religions, traditions, and sources of individual "truth's"?
Are we are so immature a race, that we refuse to accept that what we see with just 5 sense organs, is almost nothing compared to what's actually there? When we lift the veil, we will be astonished a quadrillion times over.
Bible explains ape-men clearly. The book of Yasher [chapter 9,sentence 35] says that one third of those who built the tower of Babel was killed, one third was scattered throughout the earth, and one third was cursed and "became like apes and elephants". This shows that evolution and hinduism are not based on truth.
The questions you all ask will be answered one day. By us. Eventually. God existed once, but vanished, because even It cannot cheat death. To preserve Its infinite knowledge, God, in desperation, seeded many planets with organisms harboring Its Greatest Invention -- a self-replicating replica of its own Consciousness. Only through our ever-adaptive minds and the power of creation can we, as a species, hope to find all the truths of the universe.
The sciences now shows that God, the Singularity that became our Creator, evolved into a living super massive macro organism whose function is to consume every other life form in the entire Universe, including all the other Living Galaxies with their smaller life forms called living planets, planet's organisms, and the organism's micro organisms. After She consumes all the living energy inside the Universe, She gives birth with a Big Bang and the whole life cycle repeats. It's that symple.
Not only do we not have enough information, we have no information. You keep talking as if the data is out there to prove the theory. There is no data. There is only imagination run wild. And by the way, quantum mechanics and quantum vacuums are part of the constructs of our reality/universe. The quantum vacuum is a sea of fluctuating energy, governed by physical laws. It doesn't precede the universe; it's part of the universe. In other words, the universe doesn't create itself.
How could a being far more complex than the universe simply exist, uncaused, in perfect order? Using the same theist arguments god would have to be fine tuned. This also doesn't further science at all, can god reconcile quantum physics and general relativity? How do we know which or how many gods crafted the universe? God would also have to be under some type of metaphysics to allow him to create, so this is leading nowhere already. Oh and some evidence of the supernatural would be nice.
@Requiemxtoxinnocence - Unfortunately your argument, which in a nutshell is nothing more than "Well who created God?" doesn't work. The universe is fine tuned for life...even the universe's own existence. Why should it be this way and not some other? This opens the possibility to intelligence behind the universe. If astronauts found a sophisticated piece of machinery on the moon, it would suggest intelligent design. Asking, "Yeah, well who created the intelligent designer?" is moot.
@WSGAC This doesn't answer the problem, having a perfectly ordered being far more complex than the universe itself would suggest another designer yet people say " it's uncaused". Also you could take out all the planets and galaxies and the universe would still be much the same. The anthropic principle hinges on changing one principle, but changing them all at the same time would still allow a universe. look up the article " the multiverse stars burn black".
@Requiemxtoxinnocence - Who said the designer is far more complex than the universe? Actually, the designer can be a simple being. But you're still missing the point. The questions, Why is there a universe? and Why does the universe have its present form and not another? are legitimate questions that cannot be answered by the universe, or any inquiry within the universe. Multiverse theory is not a theory. It's based on nothing observable. Hence, it isn't science, but more like faith. Odd!
@WSGAC The multiverse is a hypothesis, but there are more models such as string theory, virtual universe, no boundary, chaotic inflation, brane cosmology, lattice model. Right now we can't be for certain because we don't have enough information but putting a god into play makes things difficult and is unscientific. Why not wait for more information before concluding anything? A god could exist but it may have nothing to do with the universe.
@Requiemxtoxinnocence - We don't have enough information? We don't have ANY information. That's the point. Anyone can hypothesize anything. Putting an intelligence behind the universe is no more unscientific than positing an infinite number of universes (multiverse). Apply Occam's razor to it. You want to believe in an infinite # of universes to account for the existence of our own, all to avoid the possibility of one infinite designer? I would say yours requires more faith, and for what?
@WSGAC God relies on the anthropic principle, yet our universe is extremely hostile and made up of more dark energy and dark matter making us much less than cosmic pollution. We are gaining information which will provide us a better answer, right now we should be patient until science gains more information. God seems unlikely mostly because there is cosmic indifference, to think the universe was made for us is egotistical.
@Requiemxtoxinnocence - You obviously do not grasp the philosophical issue at hand. Science can only observe, and then develop theories upon things observed. The universe had a beginning. If you choose to believe ours is one of an infinite # of universes, that is fine. But you will not be able to observe the outside cause of our universe within our universe. The answer to the question transcends the universe itself. Thus, all hypotheses are folly, as they cannot get to the transcendent cause!
@WSGAC Since we cannot grasp it materially invoking a immaterial god solves the problem in your opinion, but as i've said before we still don't have enough information and i'm aware that this is a philosophical issue. However it has been posed that our universe came about from a quantum vacuum that brought about the first particles that spontaneously create energy. One could even pose that these very particles are the transcendental cause.
It is just chance that we are here. Think about all the other places that maybe life tried to evolve but failed. Logically we are bound to survive somewhere and it just happened to be this planet. If we evolved on some random planet billions of light years away we'd all be saying 'oh wow this is amazing that god put us right here on this perfect planet.' We are nothing special.
if man on his tiny little planet called 'earth', in amougst an infinate amount of space and time, is gonna ever solve the BIG PUZZLE of the universe, then he is very much mistaken!! The answers will never be found out because they are well beyond our vague human knowlegde so we have to just deal with it. That's why there is no proof and we can individually believe whatever we want to believe. We are all looking from the inside out as individuals.. its what ever is actually relative to us!!
i dont belong to a religion but im very spiritual and i think some things in the bible make alot of sense like when eve ate from the forbidden tree of knowledge adam and eve became conscious and now human beings are the only species on earth who question there existence.
Not interested in this video, however, to one of your first statements. There are variables on the universe that if changed the equilibrium of the universe would be altered, not destroyed. Just like chemical reaction are active until all the substances reach the equilibrium point, so too would the universe. The universe is in constant change (it's expanding) so there must be another variable trying to look for equilibrium.
If all you athiests, agnostics, and evil people are out there, LISTEN UP!!!
The universe COULDN'T be made just by chance!!
Time and space did not exist before the Big Bang, meaning some extra-temporal, space-binding being had to make it. Can you guess WHY (Christian) God made it? He did it because he was lonely!!! Imagine if you were in a very dark place, and you could live forever, but no one was ever with you. How would you feel? You would feel lonely too! You'd be bored a lot! Praise God!!!
My theory , What we call god is the Universe . Its the only thing that makes sense .
isnt there a verse that sais lift a stone split a peice of wood and you will find me . god is in every thing and every one . The only sense i can make is that what we call god is everything around us . its just a thought .
Oh god....here comes another best selling idiot who is saying what people want to hear.....an "equally likely" view that either randomly created multiverses OR "god" may be right......If the Abrahamic God is soooo intelligent that he designed the multiverse out of which came our "fine tuned" universe......why didn't he just send 1 religion....why judaism, then christianity, then islam......wasn't he "intelligent" enuf to foresee the endless war and violation of human rights.....
Life adapted to the conditions, not the other way around. The universe is not "just right" for life to evolve, there are numerous ways it could be more suitable. Asteroids, for one are not so friendly.
Allah - there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of [all] existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep.
To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills.

So reality technically isn't even "real" in the sense of how we as humans experience it. Making the case that experience or consciousness is the only "real" thing anywhere. Readers digest version; each and every one of you create your own reality, so what's the point in arguing about religion on YouTube...?
You know if you look at a braincell through a microscope and placed a general recreation of what the universe would look like from afar (yes, REALLY afar) they almost seem identical. Also, if any of you on either side of this argument know anything about string theory or quantum mechanics then you know "reality" roughly boils down to nothing more than vibrations or "waves" of potential.
I am GOD's / Grand Galactics' Anointed One as "Farmer Bill" and GOD's secret weapon called "Silent Thunder." [See novel co-imagined by Sir, Arthur C. Clarke and Fredrick Pohl titled "The Last Theorem."
I am your Biblical ADAM and I name planets. I am the Armenian American Atomic Bomb. GOD's DOOMSDAY device. I have more energy stored in my molecular biology to exceed a SUPER NOVA. I am your "OVERMIND" and these so-called Masons or Illuminati are your "Overlords." [See novel by Sir, Arthur C. Clarke "Childhood's End / Guardian Angels" for descriptions] I am GOD's / Grand Galactics' Anointed One as "Farmer Bill" and GOD's secret weapon called "Silent Thunder."
My personal Opinion on this is that there can very well be a greater inteligence that created us and everything we see and understand, but what Created the Creator and the Creator of that Creator. Also if there is a Greater inteligence that created us i think they have as much control over us as we have on any other living organism. Im an open minded person but saying the Creator has control over anything and everything seems far-fetched. but that does not mean I do not belive in a creator. OOC
@Hitman22ish Religions are inventions of man. I think this theory tried to reconcile scientific discoveries over the last century with the unavoidable questions of "what is consciousness" and "what is the meaning of everything". I find nothing religious about this theory... it's merely an attempt to answer these questions, and it's one of the best attempts I've heard of so far.
"I find nothing religious about this theory... it's merely an attempt to answer these questions"
In the 1860s Maxwell discovered electromagnetic waves, and his 19th-century mind told him all waves need to be waves in "something" - air, water, etc. But light waves move through vacuum? He invented an unseen, perfectly elastic fluid, the "ether." Fifty years later, Michelson and Morley detected no ether, and Einstein proved we don't need ether. God theory will collapse like ether.
@mosquitobight Maybe, but you haven't contradicted me. It's an attempt, nothing more. I think it's a good attempt, since it caters quite well to modern science. But, as you say, there's no telling if it's true or not, and there probably never will.
"But, as you say, there's no telling if it's true or not, and there probably never will."
Which is precisely what makes it useless.
Most people who believe in a god, believe in a thinking, conscious god. Thought implies reflection, planning, foresight and choice. Thought is inevitably tainted with prejudice, error, opinion and simplification. Which is why the very idea of a thinking god is abhorrent to me.
@mosquitobight I don't think speculating is useless. At least no more useless than watching a good zombie movie :P
Thought is a byproduct of the human condition and is generated by the human brain. There is nothing to suggest that thought exists beyond death or that this single consciousnesses proposed by this theory is able to "think", at least not in terms we're familiar with. I think the focus of this theory is about "experiencing", which is the essence of our consciousnesses, isn't it?
"I think the focus of this theory is about "experiencing", which is the essence of our consciousnesses, isn't it?"
In other words, god theory is for people who can't accept that unconscious matter can just evolve consciousness. They think some kind of input is needed from beyond the physical world. Whatever floats their boat, as long as they realize it's mysticism, nothing more.
The fact that you are still stock with 'god' proves that you did not progress at all.Proving that god either exist/Unexist is not important.even if you prove/disprove it,what affect other then people going crazy you will have?
Binding the ideas of science and god are usefull to bond humanity better,so that people will stop argue over small and boring things, and accept each other more nicely. But the idea of god is just another gear in a system, you won't get anything by looking at it.
@Wharwulif how is proving / disproving the existence of God not important? 99% of the world believes in some sort of all powerful deity which created the universe and manages the afterlife. Is it not the goal of science to answer the questions which plague mankind?
Anyway, I agree the concept of "God" is silly and over simplistic, but I kind've like the idea the Universe itself is conscious, and uses life to experience itself over & over again... is it really true? Who knows.
@guilty787 In my opinion looking at world mechanics won't really help you figure out any deeper(philosophical) meaning to things.And...more important, the concept of god is at such a level that people don't even need to bother thinking about it.If there is a deity that created everything, then that thing can do whatever it wants anyway, knowing or not knowing if it's there or not has no impact. So,asking the question is stupid, since the answer really is not important, except to human pride that is...
The narrator suggests that we live in a just right universe, and this somehow proves that the universe is fine-tuned for life. This isn't exactly true, however, the universe wasn't always "fine-tuned" for life, nor will it always will be.
Assuming the multiverse theory proves to be correct, then we're merely just lucky.
@Wardron If you mean "where in our universe" would you put them, you've already answered your own question. They would not be in our universe. Each would have its own "where."
atheism is very freeing but it's also very challenging accepting the truth, not everyone is able to really handle the true nature of things and not have a meltdown, but if you can it will be better for all of us
Carl Sagan - "Our collective free time needs to shift as much as possible to education. Whether you're a young student or finished school long ago, get out to the library whenever you can and work hard to learn everything you can about this world. Each individual and society will benefit from being able to solve more problems and make better decisions. Education is an amazing discovery process that repays you endlessly."
what ever each person's belief may be, acknowledging possibilities will probably getting us somewhere, rather than limiting what we think "is" or "isn't" by abiding to our imperfect and limited understanding
after all, have we all not been surprised, in general, by expecting things to be a certain way, but in the end they were not?
If you read the bible literally, no - you CANNOT believe in science.
If you read it metaphorically (which is fucking stupid, how could you pick out the differences in morals between stoning non-virgins on wedding days, and the morality of ... gays?) you CAN, but if you're that wishy washy, fucking just be an atheist.
Listen up all you religious faithheads and spiritualists: The idea of a "god" is not an answer. It only makes things more complicated because then you have to explain what/who/where/when that "god" is. Just grow up and let it go! Science is the ONLY game that matters.
@maartenvanderpoll the proof that god is real is all around us, look in the mirror, with that being said he's givin us a bible with amazing testimonies & also mentions an afterlife, he created me then that means I'm going to listen, this universe was not created by accident. Life gets very hard you'll see , I would honestly be lost without him , but weather you believe or not the devil is gonna constantly break you down. God created everything science only further proves his existence.
THERE IS NO EVIDENCE OF A GOD, THINK FOR YOURSELF STOP CONFORMING TO YOUR ENVIRONMENT, STAND UP FOR FREEDOM OF THOUGHT AND REASON. THE FUTURE OF MANKIND DEPENDS ON IT
my environment, and probably yours, teaches that there is no god and everything happened by chance. So why don't YOU stop conforming and consider the evidence. The more we learn about the world the more we prove that it could not have just happened. becides the general universe mentioned in the video, life is too complicated to have simply floated together. In a controlled environment the best we can do is amino acids. Even with all of our inteligence we're just making the bricks
MrSmartathlete no i started thinking for myself and realized that the bible is bs. There is no evidence for god, I don't believe peoples experiences are evidence, I believe in questioning and finding out the truth.
@boogiebuddy01 experience is evidence in court, where you deal with things that cannot be tested. but you're right that it doesn't count in a labritory test. so what are we testing? we're not proving the past, that's impossible. we're observing the way the world works and guessing at how it got here based on the present. and the big bang is the most popular result at the moment. but it relies on massive ammounts of antimatter that aren't there. we observe it being wrong. question BOTH sides.
@MrSmartathlete God didn't create this computer for you to write on humans did, god didn't create language humans did, god didnt create shit as far as im concerned there is no evidence so i am not willing to jump to the conclusion that a god had anything to do with anything, evolution makes sense to me the bible doesn't
@tryan310 that doesnt mean anything, we just dont know the answer to that question right now, maybe in the future we will. Its like the flat earth argument all over again
"In a controlled environment the best we can do is amino acids"
We only discovered the structure of DNA 60 years ago. What, we're supposed to be able to create life in every high school science lab by now? The Earth had millions of years, and the whole ocean for a test tube. I'd say we're making big progress in understanding how the first self-replicating cells came together. The more we learn, the less we need to invoke the old dude in the sky with the long beard.
That's true too often, but you can't make it a general statement. There's two types of people who call themselves christian; those who follow the bible and Christ, and those who don't. Most fit into the second category. It's unfortunate that everyone is lumped together because the Bible is true regardless of who represents it. If you look at the actual Bible and not the person quoting it, you'll find it to be infinitely better than they are. Have an open mind about it. :)
If, therefore, sin is the cause of the alienation, then it is sin that must be dealt with in order to bring about reconciliation. Reconciliation is the reuniting of two things that have been separated or alienated from each other. Thus, God and man are reconciled by the taking away of the sin that separates them. Scripture is clear that this reconciliation, this salvation from sin, occurs only through Christ.
I tend to think we are a pet project of an advanced type lll civilisation. It would explain all the shit we have as these beings do not interfere but it shows some sort of design of the fundamentals of the universe: Matter, dark matter, energy, the 4 forces, dark energy. To me the fundamentals look designed, just look at an atom. But I know for certain life has not been engineered.
I believe in what objective empirical and logical science discovers, calculates, observes. Apart from that I believe in some science-derived hypotheses like: extraterrestrial life, multiverse, infinite existence and so on.
even without religion and superstition, God is beyond time and gravity, don't forget the "Absolute Zero", where time stops, gravity's defied. No way for created beings to be able to explain God.
Man is like a sim. And the Man who's playing is God. A sim knows that there's a controller. But didn't know who it is or what is He. Somewhat there's someone outside but cannot be reached. A mind that cannot alter the level of its creator and controller.
If there is a super intelligence Then what would it do for all eternity. Either its happy as it is all it wanted to create something. Why float about for all eternity and not do something. It makes sense to me that such a super intelligence would want to create a universe and life and perhaps gain more knowledge and experience.
Life has a purpose and that is to multiply. And since life has a purpose then it might be correct to say therefore that all things have a purpose. And if there is a super intelligence then it might create a purpose for itself. And that's why it created the universe. But would a super intelligence need to create a purpose and need to experience itself. Perhaps its still learning and experiencing itself.Perhaps its still in its early or maybe late stages of learning and experiencing
@Matt0I0Attack No evidence? HA! That's like saying we evoled from monkeys. It's nonsense. There's no possible way that 2 atoms collided with each other thus forming the universe. God created it. Wanna know how? If the two atoms exploded how did they form stars and planets. The Earth is structurely built for humans to live on it. Look at a globe. How did the big bang theory form land masses. How did the water get 'magically' put here? How is there rain and snow and heat? Simple. God created it,
@nxvznx y cant you acept the idea that there is a god but you cant see him and yet you acept other idea you just hear of from a trusted person?
you think that all this and this whole universe is just a chance that happend ?and after the universe is formed how did we come ?also just like that ?come on man think it over this is no possible
i may not know much as you do about the universe and stuff but i think that this world cant exist on its on ... its just logic
@sireofdarkness the reason people dont believe in a god is cuz its a contradiction and there is proof there is no god but not to much there is one... the only proof that there is a god is there are some holes in the big bang theory other then that god is a logical fallacies....
I'm so sick of all these videos and comments. I'm going to buy genuine fucking books and I am going to get my own answers... fuck you you misleading scum bags.
@Dolphidood One question, would you be willing to accept where the data leads, IF it leads you in a direction you do not want to go? Or are you one of those who merely want to bolster their own safe and comfortable set of assumptions?
Your statement indicates the former, your attitude the latter. Hence the question.
@TheLoveNotWar1000 There could be very logical scientific explanations for "ghosts". I have theorized an explanation that has nothing to do with "spirits" or an afterlife, but it's too long to explain here.
As for your "evil birds", that sounds to be more cryptozoological than paranormal.
@SeedsOfHatred Oh, okay. I as well can't explain about Lachuzas. It's gonna sound really weird and it's most likey you won't understand. Just look up the name.
@TheLoveNotWar1000 I'm sure I'd understand. I've been absorbing books on cryptozoology since I found a book about Bigfoot in my 3rd Grade library.
There are many legends and myths about giant birds from all over the world. Generally these legends begin when someone sees or hears something they don't fully understand - or something they misidentify - and because of superstition, the stories turn into something spooky or paranormal. What's interesting is if you Google "Lechuza", you get a
@TheLoveNotWar1000 (cont.) bunch of pictures of owls. From what I read about the Lechuza, it's a large evil bird with the face of a witch? Owls are certainly very large when their wings are out-stretched, and their faces can resemble that of an old woman. In Mexico (where superstition is rampant), it's not surprising that people would create the story of an evil witch who transforms into a massive bird - when really it all started with an owl.
Ugh, look, I can't explain it very well by writting. I'd like to explain it by voice. It's better and easier in my opinion.
You have to see it and hear it to believe it. Like seriously. Yes I know, your going to bring up all this scientific crap and something about cryptozoological. But really, you won't ever understand. I have a story to tell but it's up to you if you'd like to read about it. Otherwise I'll only be waisting your time. So is it a yes or a no?
@SeedsOfHatred Alright, here's my story from my own experience ; One time like 2 or 3 years ago, I was fallin' into a deep sleep like around 10 or 11pm. As I was falling asleep, I could here a whistling. I didn't really care much of it 'cause I was too sleepy and I assumed it was just some drunk guy walking around (a bar is right by.)
Well, then later in the late night/early morning like around 3, I awoke 'cause I had to go twinkle. Once done, I was heading back to sleep and (to be continued)..
@SeedsOfHatred ..just I was doing so, I noticed that the whistling was still continueing. I was like "damn, that fool's still drunk?" and didn't really care much of it 'cause I was too sleepy when all of a sudden my mom awakes saying "it's the lachuze! Mi'ja, it's the lachuza!" And I was like "what the fuck?!" and I got all scared. My mom went to go awake my bro' 'bout it and he quickly stumbled up like "what the fuck?!" as well. Him and my ma went to the front room where I was and (to be cont.)
@SeedsOfHatred ...was hearing it for themselves. So there they were standing all shocked speaking to eachother in spanish 'bout some prayers and something my bro' heard too before he slept and me all scared as fuck, sitting up. My mom said that praying will have is go away. So she got a candle, lit it and had it standed upon a small table and her and my bro' started praying. Dude, when they started praying, the whistle was like going loud and then lower little by little as they (to be cont.)
@SeedsOfHatred ...continued on praying. I was so scared all at the same time! I mean, my family told me so many stories about it and their experiences and it was my first time that day! So yeah, I was all scared. And dude, I am always going to remember the sound of that whistle. ||8 Like, just the way it kept whistling loud and fading away as my mom and bro' prayed. I can's remember if I prayed. I was scared shitless! Once the whistle stop, my ma and bro' were relieved. (to be cont.)
@SeedsOfHatred ..But for fun, I did a small low whistle and both of 'em were like "what the fuck?!" and I told 'em it was me and laughed a bit. But I was still scared! They both were having a conversation but I forgot about what and the head back to sleep right after. Dude, I couldn't sleep that whole night or morning! I stayed up and put some music on in my ears! And this is going to sound funny but as the morning was being coming up very lightly and I didn't have my music on, I heard (next)
@SeedsOfHatred ..I heard some damn birds that freaked me the fuck out! But I remembered that there are always birds chirping when the morning is about to develop. And there you go. That's my experience. Oh, and I have something else to write to you that deals with it but it's up to you if you want to read it. I'm assuming your getting annoyed by reading all this and thinking I'm just full of shit.
@TheLoveNotWar1000 I don't think you're full of shit. I simply can't really invest all that much trust in a few whistles and your superstitious (I imagine Catholic?) mom freaking out as a result. That only serves as evidence that religiously-devout people can overreact to simple situations and make them into something they're not - not as evidence that there is indeed a supernatural witch-bird flying around out there.
@SeedsOfHatred You write like a proffesional scientist! DD:
Your not Mexican so you can't understand! DDx
d:
Nah', I'm not lying! Honestly! I put it on my own cats that passed away! I put it on the poor doggy I tried to save off the street one time! I put it on the crazy nightmares I've survived! I put it on my best friend! I put it on this weird guy who tried hitting on me once! I put it on Jesuse! DD: Seriously, you just had to be there at the moment. o,o //: ||: :\\ )): d: ((: ]]:
@TheLoveNotWar1000 I do understand. And I didn't say that you were lying; I do believe you. But again, you have to understand that religious and cultural superstition can play a huge roll in what people experience and how they percieve it. As I said, you heard some whistles - which could have been anything from a bird to a drunk outside - and your mom's own superstition forced her to think that it was some sort of paranormal entity. It doesn't mean that's what it was.
@SeedsOfHatred Yes, I understand. But, but...I want to hear it again and see it this time! :DD And have it become my bitch! >:DD But I'd like for you to be there wit' me at the moment so you could see for yourself. Or hear. Or whichever. I also got a LOT more stories to tell but it'll take quite a LONG while and my hands will began to hurt. Ugh! Anyways, yeah, I believe in it. Also because I'd like to know that crazy stuff exist in this planet other than us. HUMANS. ||8
@TheLoveNotWar1000 That's also something I'd like to experience. I was fortunate enough to have a visual encounter with a Sasquatch - which is something I'll never forget.
It is a wonderful thought that there are strange animals out there. But we can't let our love of the mystical get the better of us. We have to be objective and keep in mind that whatever is out there - if it's out there at all - has a perfectly scientific explanation.
@TheLoveNotWar1000 There are three explanations for ghosts. There's the 2 normal skeptic reasons; people lie, people are confused/nuts. The third reason explains the ones that you can't deny happen. The Bible says that there are more beings in this world than just us. Specifically demons. They are quite happy to essentially have a religion of people who believe in ghosts and related phenomenon. Things like this that cannot be explained purely by science are further evidence against evolution.
Perfect! :D If you do read the Bible, it's good to ask lots of questions and make sure you understand it. If you have someone to explain it, it's a lot easier. Make sure the answers make sense though because as with anything there's some nutcases out there. Questions and thinking are the only way to learn! :) -reading helps :P
@nxvznx Lolz! God did not create us! Nor did we create him.. He is immortal, self born, as we are.. It's just that we come in this lifecycle, whereas he dosen't take birth. He does not live here, he lives far beyond the universe, where there is eternal peace and harmony.
@meenal26ify Im not gonna' argue on this anymore, cause it's not about arguing, it's about spreading, the truth, I just told you the truth, you wanna agree on it, great, you don't wanna, well even that's not a prob. Everyone's been finding god, no one actually knows him too well, maybe will never even. But that's the way it goes, he's great, has always been, and will always be.. Wish you luck in life. Peace out!
In my opinion, science has tainted the minds of men. Science, which was created by God, has become worshiped by scientists and anti-creationists. What is worse, is that they must force the religious to conform to the ways of logic and science. This is no longer just a war between religion...this is a war between believers and non-believers. If you're going to give me that "You all started it" bull-crap, then remember: We believe we're trying to save you. Can people no longer share an opinion?
Science is based on observation of the world and universe around us. Science never contradicts the truth, only our flawed and biased interpretations cause problems. Nobody is perfect, therefore our observations can never be perfect either. This is why every scientific theory has to be updated to fit new facts -the first version was wrong. There is no "science vs. religion" if the religion is right. This "god theory" is a desperate attempt to keep evolution alive in spite of truth.
@MrSmartathlete youre right, man. science is based on OUR observation of everything in this universe, it is a never ending learning. While religion is based on SOME old guys' OWN beliefs that spread throughout the entire human race.
@rolandroiroi You are starting with the assumption that God was invented by men. Any religion invented by us is clearly wrong, which is nearly all of them. but the truth is that there is a God. This is supported by science, in many more ways than the one in this video. However people would much rather believe that we are not accountable to anyone. This is where atheism comes from. Looking at history, evolution spawned from atheism, not from science. -And by the way this predates darwin (cont...)
@rolandroiroi People attempt to prop it up with science, but every prop falls down with the next discovery. Meanwhile every time the Biblical account of history is tested, it is proven. It is the most reliable and comprehensive history we have as compared to official records. And it matches every other source we find. Why should we trust a 1 year old version theory that will be rewritten next month rather than a book that has lasted thousands of years and gathers evidence wherever we look?
@MrSmartathlete yup, bible are very reliable. Bible believed that the earth is flat, and unicorns exist. talking about evidence. Just add up good, and moral words to cover up its lies so it would be more convincing to innocent minds seeking truth about life. believing in bible is a cowardice act. It is far better to grasp the universe as it is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring. We are just humans, and earth is just a dot in this universe.
Have you ever even held a Bible? You just gave two examples of things that are NOT in it. fyi the current leader of the flat earth society is an evolutionist. And if given the choice, most people would prefer to believe that humanity is the highest form of existence. Who would honestly make up a system where you have to answer for your actions to a perfect judge who knows everything? The coward's way out is pretending that our actions have no consequences.
@MrSmartathlete confirmed. you have been poisoned by your parents beliefs. And i bet youre going to force your future kids (in a good way) to go to church and do church works like communion. I was once a christian.
It really doesn’t matter what my parents believe. If they were wrong, I would disagree with them. It’s a simple solution. The one thing I always do is ask questions. And if I don’t get a good answer, I don’t care if the whole world believes it, you still have to convince me. What made you change? Did you find a question you couldn’t answer? Or did you just conform because it’s easier? I can bet that you didn’t thoroughly examine the facts before you changed your mind.
@MrSmartathlete We all have limited human mind, no doubt some would just believe in God or Goddess to find a cheap way to understand the meaning of life. Bible is not accurate or not anymore. I has gone through over 2000 years of Hebrew lingual changes, made from 66 different books and roughly translated into English, then compressed to fit into your top pocket. How accurate is that?
@rolandroiroi If you want to know how accurate it is, check the evidence. Firstly it agrees with secular historical accounts. This includes non-Christian accounts of the life of Jesus ("The Antiquities of the Jews"). Secondly we have copies of the Old Testament that were untouched for over 2 thousand years and still agree with modern text. Finally, Based on the number of ancient copies preserved, the NT is officially the most reliable document before the printing press (better than Shakespeare).
@rolandroiroi Yeah maybe the translation are not that accurate in some part of the books but how come all the authors of the books in the bible from different time and different places have the same idea and are related to each other?
@angelbelle578 easy, they tried to relate to each other. Just like in science, modern scientists use old discoveries and studies to make references, to develop and make progress. Humans are known for preserving knowledge.
@rolandroiroi , yes, I'm sure the bible was right originally regarding "On the first day....." ,"woman was created from man's rib , somebody named Noah built a really big boat with 2 of every animal, 10 commandments were created in stone out of thin air, people turned into pillars of salt..... Whatever happened to those factual stories ?
@rolandroiroi , Egyptian and Myan cultures are even thousands of years older than the bible. But their logic in math and science was profound and still true. Christians are just plane stupid.
@rolandroiroi I believe that the "god" presented here is more-something behind everything-rather then the god presented in each the folk/fantasy/history/baboonistic books of religion. But yeah, you cannot depend on "word of god" which has been transmuted by humans over a very vast time,so it's actually "the changing word of many Human-Religious figures/Story tellers/Exaggerating writers".
The thing is,people need a simple reason for things, saying "god'oo mighty" fits very well to that.
@ArchelStudio, the problem is just that: there shouldn't be a war between believers and non-believers. All conflicts came, come and will come just because people can't respect the other. Formely Church forced other to follow "the right way". That was very bad. Now they show the other to follow "a right way", but there are people who don't like that way. If people respected the other, there wouldn't be so many prejudices. No prejudices means freedom to decide. Maybe people would be more religious
All of the big bang occurred.Kuran,so deeply about the creation of the universe and the big bang theory that contains information describing a single book,so this theory before it is exhausted.
Those who disbelieve, cosmos (heaven),and the world (in) sewn to each other separate them from water every living thing, coordinated and created you do not see?Still, they do not then believe?

Unless ‘the origin of species’ has been totally discarded, the basic principle of evolution is the accumulation of adaptations and mutations over many generations. This not only fails to explain animals such as bats which could have no viable intermediary (imagine the bone structure) but also contradicts science. We have observed beneficial mutations, but never constructive mutations. Look it up. This means that scientifically there is no support for higher life coming from lower life.
@nxvznx Which part of what I said is “bro science”? Thermodynamics? The Hershey–Chase experiment? Or perhaps you know of a case where one of the many documented mutations in the world was constructive instead of destructive? Or are you unaware of deficient gene pools forming when only select genes are passed on (as we see in isolated populations)? We observe genetic degeneration, this is scientific fact. Anyone who THINKS about it can figure out that we had to start out better than we are now.
That's not even 'bro science' - that's just misunderstanding.
You do not understand the theory, and even if you can't understand the theory.
That evolution happens (by natural selection and other means) is a fact. It's a fact, and your unwillingness to accept it won't change that it is a fact. It happens. Get over it.
What I can't understand is the second line of your post. And did you read the post that I wrote at the same time as this one? The one that relates to your comment? Natural selection happens, sure. It removes genetics less suited to the environment. Evolution is a separate matter, it requires the genes to CHANGE to suit the environment. This doesn't happen. The problem is that people observe diverging genetics (i.e. dog breeds) and decide that this is related to "goo to you" evolution.
Perhaps I should introduce some terms for clarity. "Microevolution" is the sort of change we see. It involves an overall loss of genetic potential. This is how we get differences in finch varieties. originaly there was one finch type, with the ability to have a range of characteristics in it's offspring. Non of the current varieties can become a different variety. "Macroevolution" is the development of new things. This is what the Theory of Evolution rests on. It has never been observed.
we'll never knew if God exists or whether God is the same Universe, the logic can only say us that we can't come by chance, but this has nothing to do with any worshiped God,anyway God is a concept we shall never understand just couse we are in the middle of it;we can only try to understand if it has a sense, but it is not science nor religion,it's just our common fear ofthe death...the men love to waste his time....the road to feel a divine sense is the love, not an argument....
look god dose exist so how come some one said people said humans created god by there image make no sense? but what i belive that god created us on his own image
@TheCloudslasher What are you trying to say? what does god dose exist mean? WTF is a dose? If you can't spell or understand grammer, please don't post. Just STFU. Tell youtube you're too stupid to have an account. They'll understand.

WSGAC 2 months ago
How could a being far more complex than the universe simply exist, uncaused, in perfect order? Using the same theist arguments god would have to be fine tuned. This also doesn't further science at all, can god reconcile quantum physics and general relativity? How do we know which or how many gods crafted the universe? God would also have to be under some type of metaphysics to allow him to create, so this is leading nowhere already. Oh and some evidence of the supernatural would be nice.
Requiemxtoxinnocence 2 months ago
@Requiemxtoxinnocence - Unfortunately your argument, which in a nutshell is nothing more than "Well who created God?" doesn't work. The universe is fine tuned for life...even the universe's own existence. Why should it be this way and not some other? This opens the possibility to intelligence behind the universe. If astronauts found a sophisticated piece of machinery on the moon, it would suggest intelligent design. Asking, "Yeah, well who created the intelligent designer?" is moot.
WSGAC 2 months ago
@WSGAC This doesn't answer the problem, having a perfectly ordered being far more complex than the universe itself would suggest another designer yet people say " it's uncaused". Also you could take out all the planets and galaxies and the universe would still be much the same. The anthropic principle hinges on changing one principle, but changing them all at the same time would still allow a universe. look up the article " the multiverse stars burn black".
Requiemxtoxinnocence 2 months ago
@Requiemxtoxinnocence - Who said the designer is far more complex than the universe? Actually, the designer can be a simple being. But you're still missing the point. The questions, Why is there a universe? and Why does the universe have its present form and not another? are legitimate questions that cannot be answered by the universe, or any inquiry within the universe. Multiverse theory is not a theory. It's based on nothing observable. Hence, it isn't science, but more like faith. Odd!
WSGAC 2 months ago
@WSGAC The multiverse is a hypothesis, but there are more models such as string theory, virtual universe, no boundary, chaotic inflation, brane cosmology, lattice model. Right now we can't be for certain because we don't have enough information but putting a god into play makes things difficult and is unscientific. Why not wait for more information before concluding anything? A god could exist but it may have nothing to do with the universe.
Requiemxtoxinnocence 2 months ago
@Requiemxtoxinnocence - We don't have enough information? We don't have ANY information. That's the point. Anyone can hypothesize anything. Putting an intelligence behind the universe is no more unscientific than positing an infinite number of universes (multiverse). Apply Occam's razor to it. You want to believe in an infinite # of universes to account for the existence of our own, all to avoid the possibility of one infinite designer? I would say yours requires more faith, and for what?
WSGAC 2 months ago
@WSGAC God relies on the anthropic principle, yet our universe is extremely hostile and made up of more dark energy and dark matter making us much less than cosmic pollution. We are gaining information which will provide us a better answer, right now we should be patient until science gains more information. God seems unlikely mostly because there is cosmic indifference, to think the universe was made for us is egotistical.
Requiemxtoxinnocence 2 months ago
@Requiemxtoxinnocence - You obviously do not grasp the philosophical issue at hand. Science can only observe, and then develop theories upon things observed. The universe had a beginning. If you choose to believe ours is one of an infinite # of universes, that is fine. But you will not be able to observe the outside cause of our universe within our universe. The answer to the question transcends the universe itself. Thus, all hypotheses are folly, as they cannot get to the transcendent cause!
WSGAC 2 months ago
@WSGAC Since we cannot grasp it materially invoking a immaterial god solves the problem in your opinion, but as i've said before we still don't have enough information and i'm aware that this is a philosophical issue. However it has been posed that our universe came about from a quantum vacuum that brought about the first particles that spontaneously create energy. One could even pose that these very particles are the transcendental cause.

OOC

@Hitman22ish Religions are inventions of man. I think this theory tried to reconcile scientific discoveries over the last century with the unavoidable questions of "what is consciousness" and "what is the meaning of everything". I find nothing religious about this theory... it's merely an attempt to answer these questions, and it's one of the best attempts I've heard of so far.
guilty787 2 months ago
@guilty787
God theory will collapse like ether.
mosquitobight 2 months ago
@mosquitobight Maybe, but you haven't contradicted me. It's an attempt, nothing more. I think it's a good attempt, since it caters quite well to modern science. But, as you say, there's no telling if it's true or not, and there probably never will.
guilty787 2 months ago
@guilty787
Which is why the very idea of a thinking god is abhorrent to me.
mosquitobight 2 months ago
@mosquitobight I don't think speculating is useless. At least no more useless than watching a good zombie movie :P
Thought is a byproduct of the human condition and is generated by the human brain. There is nothing to suggest that thought exists beyond death or that this single consciousnesses proposed by this theory is able to "think", at least not in terms we're familiar with. I think the focus of this theory is about "experiencing", which is the essence of our consciousnesses, isn't it?
guilty787 2 months ago
@guilty787

Wharwulif 3 months ago
@Wharwulif how is proving / disproving the existence of God not important? 99% of the world believes in some sort of all powerful deity which created the universe and manages the afterlife. Is it not the goal of science to answer the questions which plague mankind?
Anyway, I agree the concept of "God" is silly and over simplistic, but I kind've like the idea the Universe itself is conscious, and uses life to experience itself over & over again... is it really true? Who knows.
guilty787 2 months ago

Assuming the multiverse theory proves to be correct, then we're merely just lucky.

what ever each person's belief may be, acknowledging possibilities will probably getting us somewhere, rather than limiting what we think "is" or "isn't" by abiding to our imperfect and limited understanding
after all, have we all not been surprised, in general, by expecting things to be a certain way, but in the end they were not?

If you read the bible literally, no - you CANNOT believe in science.
If you read it metaphorically (which is fucking stupid, how could you pick out the differences in morals between stoning non-virgins on wedding days, and the morality of ... gays?) you CAN, but if you're that wishy washy, fucking just be an atheist.
That's about it...

Life gets very hard you'll see , I would honestly be lost without him , but weather you believe or not the devil is gonna constantly break you down. my environment, and probably yours, teaches that there is no god and everything happened by chance. So why don't YOU stop conforming and consider the evidence. The more we learn about the world the more we prove that it could not have just happened. becides the general universe mentioned in the video, life is too complicated to have simply floated together. boogiebuddy01 3 months ago

If there is a super intelligence Then what would it do for all eternity. Either its happy as it is all it wanted to create something. Why float about for all eternity and not do something. It makes sense to me that such a super intelligence would want to create a universe and life and perhaps gain more knowledge and experience.
ZeusHelios 3 months ago
Life has a purpose and that is to multiply. And since life has a purpose then it might be correct to say therefore that all things have a purpose. And if there is a super intelligence then it might create a purpose for itself. And that's why it created the universe. But would a super intelligence need to create a purpose and need to experience itself. Perhaps its still learning and experiencing itself.Perhaps its still in its early or maybe late stages of learning and experiencing

Then what explains ghosts and the evil birds we/the Mexican people see(lachuza)?!
TheLoveNotWar1000 3 months ago
@TheLoveNotWar1000 There could be very logical scientific explanations for "ghosts". I have theorized an explanation that has nothing to do with "spirits" or an afterlife, but it's too long to explain here.
As for your "evil birds", that sounds to be more cryptozoological than paranormal.
SeedsOfHatred 3 months ago
@SeedsOfHatred Oh, okay. I as well can't explain about Lachuzas. It's gonna sound really weird and it's most likey you won't understand. Just look up the name.
TheLoveNotWar1000 3 months ago
@TheLoveNotWar1000 I'm sure I'd understand. I've been absorbing books on cryptozoology since I found a book about Bigfoot in my 3rd Grade library.
There are many legends and myths about giant birds from all over the world. Generally these legends begin when someone sees or hears something they don't fully understand - or something they misidentify - and because of superstition, the stories turn into something spooky or paranormal. What's interesting is if you Google "Lechuza", you get a
SeedsOfHatred 3 months ago
@TheLoveNotWar1000 (cont.) bunch of pictures of owls. From what I read about the Lechuza, it's a large evil bird with the face of a witch? Owls are certainly very large when their wings are out-stretched, and their faces can resemble that of an old woman. In Mexico (where superstition is rampant), it's not surprising that people would create the story of an evil witch who transforms into a massive bird - when really it all started with an owl.

TheLoveNotWar1000 3 months ago
@SeedsOfHatred ..just I was doing so, I noticed that the whistling was still continueing. I was like "damn, that fool's still drunk?" and didn't really care much of it 'cause I was too sleepy when all of a sudden my mom awakes saying "it's the lachuze! Mi'ja, it's the lachuza!" And I was like "what the fuck?!" and I got all scared. My mom went to go awake my bro' 'bout it and he quickly stumbled up like "what the fuck?!" as well. Him and my ma went to the front room where I was and (to be cont.)

Dude, when they started praying, the whistle was like going loud and then lower little by little as they (to be cont.)
TheLoveNotWar1000 3 months ago
@SeedsOfHatred ...continued on praying. I was so scared all at the same time! I mean, my family told me so many stories about it and their experiences and it was my first time that day!

TheLoveNotWar1000 3 months ago
@SeedsOfHatred ..I heard some damn birds that freaked me the fuck out! But I remembered that there are always birds chirping when the morning is about to develop. And there you go. I'm assuming your getting annoyed by reading all this and thinking I'm just full of shit.
TheLoveNotWar1000 3 months ago
@TheLoveNotWar1000 I don't think you're full of shit. I simply can't really invest all that much trust in a few whistles and your superstitious (I imagine Catholic?) mom freaking out as a result. That only serves as evidence that religiously-devout people can overreact to simple situations and make them into something they're not - not as evidence that there is indeed a supernatural witch-bird flying around out there.

ArchelStudio 3 months ago
@ArchelStudio
MrSmartathlete 3 months ago
@MrSmartathlete youre right, man. science is based on OUR observation of everything in this universe, it is a never ending learning. While religion is based on SOME old guys' OWN beliefs that spread throughout the entire human race.
rolandroiroi 3 months ago
@rolandroiroi You are starting with the assumption that God was invented by men. Any religion invented by us is clearly wrong, which is nearly all of them. but the truth is that there is a God. This is supported by science, in many more ways than the one in this video. However people would much rather believe that we are not accountable to anyone. This is where atheism comes from. Looking at history, evolution spawned from atheism, not from science. -And by the way this predates darwin (cont...)
MrSmartathlete 3 months ago
@rolandroiroi People attempt to prop it up with science, but every prop falls down with the next discovery. Meanwhile every time the Biblical account of history is tested, it is proven. It is the most reliable and comprehensive history we have as compared to official records. And it matches every other source we find. Why should we trust a 1 year old version theory that will be rewritten next month rather than a book that has lasted thousands of years and gathers evidence wherever we look?
MrSmartathlete 3 months ago
@MrSmartathlete yup, bible are very reliable. Bible believed that the earth is flat, and unicorns exist. talking about evidence. Just add up good, and moral words to cover up its lies so it would be more convincing to innocent minds seeking truth about life. believing in bible is a cowardice act. It is far better to grasp the universe as it is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring. We are just humans, and earth is just a dot in this universe.
rolandroiroi 3 months ago
@rolandroiroi
MrSmartathlete 3 months ago

rolandroiroi 3 months ago
@rolandroiroi
MrSmartathlete 3 months ago
@MrSmartathlete We all have limited human mind, no doubt some would just believe in God or Goddess to find a cheap way to understand the meaning of life. Bible is not accurate or not anymore. I has gone through over 2000 years of Hebrew lingual changes, made from 66 different books and roughly translated into English, then compressed to fit into your top pocket. How accurate is that?
rolandroiroi 3 months ago 8
@rolandroiroi If you want to know how accurate it is, check the evidence. Firstly it agrees with secular historical accounts. This includes non-Christian accounts of the life of Jesus ("The Antiquities of the Jews"). Secondly we have copies of the Old Testament that were untouched for over 2 thousand years and still agree with modern text. Finally, Based on the number of ancient copies preserved, the NT is officially the most reliable document before the printing press (better than Shakespeare).
MrSmartathlete 3 months ago
@rolandroiroi Yeah maybe the translation are not that accurate in some part of the books but how come all the authors of the books in the bible from different time and different places have the same idea and are related to each other?
angelbelle578 3 months ago
@angelbelle578 easy, they tried to relate to each other. Just like in science, modern scientists use old discoveries and studies to make references, to develop and make progress. Humans are known for preserving knowledge.

Whatever happened to those factual stories ?
JesusWasAnAsshole 3 months ago

@rolandroiroi I believe that the "god" presented here is more-something behind everything-rather then the god presented in each the folk/fantasy/history/baboonistic books of religion. But yeah, you cannot depend on "word of god" which has been transmuted by humans over a very vast time,so it's actually "the changing word of many Human-Religious figures/Story tellers/Exaggerating writers".
The thing is,people need a simple reason for things, saying "god'oo mighty" fits very well to that.
Wharwulif 3 months ago
@ArchelStudio, the problem is just that: there shouldn't be a war between believers and non-believers. All conflicts came, come and will come just because people can't respect the other. Formely Church forced other to follow "the right way". That was very bad. Now they show the other to follow "a right way", but there are people who don't like that way. If people respected the other, there wouldn't be so many prejudices. No prejudices means freedom to decide. Maybe people would be more religious

MrSmartathlete 3 months ago
@nxvznx Which part of what I said is “bro science”? Thermodynamics? The Hershey–Chase experiment? Or perhaps you know of a case where one of the many documented mutations in the world was constructive instead of destructive? Or are you unaware of deficient gene pools forming when only select genes are passed on (as we see in isolated populations)? We observe genetic degeneration, this is scientific fact. Anyone who THINKS about it can figure out that we had to start out better than we are now.
MrSmartathlete 3 months ago
@MrSmartathlete
You are making yourself look foolish.
mdiem 3 months ago
@mdiem
MrSmartathlete 3 months ago
@mdiem
