@WildBird202 I use the rc aerodyne weighted tips plastic blades. Very resilient,, tough, easy to track because they are so flexible. Easy 2 longer blades than 4.
Whatever the main rotor head, unbuild it and rebuild. Those blades are very heavy. I loose one blade . It is on a video. You will find it on my channel if you want to be scare.
With a rigid head, and plastic blades, no 3 axis gyro necessary. But you will have to fly every second of each flight. This the fun. The swash mix is importan
@WildBird202 Hi WildBird, the normal curves are: Throttle 4-25-35-50-55 and pitch 35-38-50-60-70.
I don't remember the atv or the degrees at mid stick. It should be around 5-6. I am repairing this model. The last time i flew it, on the ground, the tr loose a blade holder, brooken screws. ( 3 times in 150 flights.)
Take care, you will need longer tr blades. I take blades from an old concept Kyosho 30. They are wider, longer and lighter. They give the authority needed for a good control.
Question: What rotor head and blades are you using...The blades look like the scale RC Aerodyne blades! Also, what motor are you using and pinion size?. I'm building a MD500D with a HK500GT, but I don't have the 5 blade rotor head or motor yet. Your seem to fly really good on a 6S!
Wow, there again you are having another beautiful Helicopter very nice to look at and despite the size it looks like to be lighter than air ;-) great flying my Friend and thank you for sharing :-))
@DirkME1022 It appears light, but it is nearly 2 pound heavier than the AS-350. I didn't try autorotation yet. I will be high when I will try. In this case also, I kept the revs low. Not more than 1700-1800, but the 5 blades give a higher sound than that.
@bladerunner469 It handles very well. A bit touchy in hovering, balloon up in fast forward, and IT REQUIRES LONGER TAIL ROTOR BLADES (Kyosho Concept 30 in this case) to retain a good control at this very low RPM, because of the mass of the 5 weighted blades and the heavier weight of the main rotor head.
I'm working right now on a AS-350, 450 size ERA colors from RCAERODYNE. I tweek the tracking, these plastic weighted blades from RC AERODYNE are rerally great. The bunch of 4 I had bought in january are exactly the same weight. 31.35 grams. The balancing was easy. I will work on the mechanic, sort it out the youth problems of it. I will post later a few videos. See you later.
@AB109GIO You are welcome. It was a very fun flight. The wind in hovering did not disturbed the controls. But, in fast forward, I don't know if the nose tend always to balloon. A a 4 blades 450, it don't.
Nice job i wish i could send a picture of the way i video tape my heli,s i have one of those key chain spy camera,s it,s mounted on a pair of work glass,s with double sided tape
@bladerunner469 This is a Sony Snap. I put my cam on the trunk of my car, and push the button. That's all. This little cam do not have enough wide angle. This is why I flew outside of is view frequently.
The key chain do not give feedback until you are in front of your computer. This is sad. In a few years, it will surely be possible. Thanks
Thanks for the tip on the tail blades. I've been looking at 5 blade rotor heads.

Don't know which one to get. I plan to use the scale weighted tip blades from RC Aerodyne.

I didn't read all of your description, and answered my own question. What are you using for throttle and pitch curve?
