  • @ 15:30 doesn't NASA have a satellite doing that , NOAA and ESA do and Mercator systems uses dynamic topography information on currents. It is provided by altimeter satellites. The Mercator systems use altimeter data from 3 satellites: Envisat (European Space Agency), GFO (US Navy), Jason-1 (Nasa/Cnes).

  • Satellites don't look at temperatures below the surface.the buoys do.

    Hurricane intensity, not frequency is increased by global warming. Warmer ocean water at and near the surface is potential for more powerful hurricanes.

  • It would be interesting to know how H. R. 2977 is taken into consideration when approaching the problems faced concerning the global warming and cooling periods.
