  • Nice video, I used to fly from Cov before it shut (I now fly from Wellesbourne) , apparantly the airport is about to re-open that Sir Rigby guy has completed the sale of the airport yesterday!

  • @ewandougie Well that is good news :)

  • Have used a small portion of this video, it goes just nicely with my building review.. Have invested in about 90 - 1oo grmas of nose weight, and I hope to assemble the fuselage tonight, and to add the wings.. then I'll slap on some filler tomorrow before we hopefully go to London again.. :) :)... :) I thank you most gratefully for the use of the videoclip. :)

  • 90 -100 grms..

  • ...and Hopefully you will get to London soon :)

In fact a simple 'g' normally does for indicating grams ;)

  • English is a funny language.. In Sweden we always use Kg for kilo.. here you always seem to write kilograms.. so I assumed grams would be a long abbreviation as well! Am in London now, a kindhearted nurse gave my son a 'dongle' for his laptop! We're running late though, won't be home 'til Friday at this rate.. :(

  • I'm flattered! 100 grams for one model? Perhaps for a large stock when you next do Airacobras or something.

  • i bought a couple of 45 - 50g weights, have used one so far, but can't tell if it will need the other weight until it's standing on it's landing gear.. the bomb bay is still open, so I have the option of fitting additional weights, as required.. Mind you, I won't have use for that spare large weight for any other model, so may just as well use it for the Vulcan either way.. :)

  • Ah yes the tricky airacobra balance. I'm doing a foam one have given up on the La-7 mess.

  • Well, what can I say.. but good luck! Looking forward to a good outcome of the P-39 project.. fingers crossed and all that!! :) We had the annual 'Mystery Christmas Kit Swap' at the club last night & just for once I was very very lucky! I picked up a 'Matchbox' 1/48 Spitfire LF.VIII, which is a basic kit, but looks ok (very much like a Mk.IX) and it's perfect for a project that has to be done in a month! I started it this morning after work.. :) :)

  • I 'donated' the Airfix 1/72 'Landing Craft' to the kit pile, and Eric the ship builder got it.. but he doesn't know that yet, as he's down in the Mediterrainian on a ship, wining & dining with the First Sealord.,. Still, at least that kit should not be too much of a challenge for him when he gets going on it, ha ha ha ha.. :)

  • Ps: As you're a stickler for accuracy you will no doubt notice that the Spit is lacking the gullwing, when I post the video.. but it's still not too bad a kit.. :)

  • I didn't notice that :O

  • I haven't posted the video yet.. :)

  • Ahaha... but you have now I see. I will wait till lunchtime to watch.

  • What does 'LF' mean?

  • Low altitude fighter... I think.. There's a HF version as well, which was designed for high altitudes.. :)

  • This video is full of Vulcanicity.. :) :)

Mind you, that Vulcan can't be genuine, it didn't have pointed ears!! I may well snitch this video then, and use that short snippit of the Vulcan for my forthcoming video.. :) Or I may not.. :) Permission pending, of;course.. either way! :) Great video, most enjoyable.. it conveyed the atmosphere of an old, yet busy airport.. :)
