@BlankPicketSign a parable for the clueless....if you are my child, you will abide by my rules... you will not smoke pot in my house... you will not bring girls in my house etc.-- i have a standard and after all.... it's my house. when you are 18, I don't care you can leave and do as you please. if you are not my kid... then you are not under my roof... then this doesn't apply to you.... have a nice day.
@BlankPicketSign great 4 you... i'm just as happy to follow Jesus... i hope your saunter on this side of the fence has been more therapeutic for yourself (solidifying your belief in 'nothing') then an attempt at intimidation or railing... because if you're trying to change someone's mind-- 'i, i, i'... then it's not much different then slamming a bible over peoples heads on the street corner. =^p
This video is absoloutely great!! We need more like these, not a verse of scripture and then 10 minuets of voicing one's own personal interpretation, but just Scripture!!
As I was watching this video, a thought came to me...........the moment we begin the journey to obedience, this is when the battle begins....the battle of wills. It can be an exciting journey with some pain, or it can be a painful journey with some excitement. Think I prefer the first option!
When I was a "Christian" and lived by own will, doing whatever I wanted, "life" was easy, and I had no battles.
When I read my bible for myself I saw we were meant to OBEY God and do His Will.
I haven't had a day since that hasn't been a battle. Satan has attacked me relentlessly. He doesn't want me to see the Truth, I guess he doesn't realise its too late.

I cannot choice what I believe.
I cannot force cognitive dissonance out of fear of a Bronze Age Myth.
I cannot be dishonest to myself just because a false belief is comforting.
I actually care about if my beliefs are true, regardless if reality is scary, harsh, and unforgiving.
I am willing to overcome my biases and what makes me feel 'good' in the search of truth.
I am free, I am happy, I am an Atheist =^_^=
