  • Thanks for the great question! Sure you can substitute butter, just be sure to watch it carefully so that it doesn't burn. I rely a lot on my nose to tell me when food is ready and for the first sign of overcooking (a burnt smell) to tell me it's time for my baking to come out of the oven!   • @BestFruitNow I did and it turned out yummy. When I made it the second time I decreased the flour by 1/2 C and increased the oats by 1/2 C and liked it better. It's a WONDERFUL recipe though.
