Hey guys theres a guy in the battle frontier who tells you your pokemons IV

its in E,and Platinum.

It cant be better in that regard means that your IV IS 31

on the stat he mentioned earlier its 100% accurate

works withs Levels 1-100

the best ive gotten is 2 stats that have 31 IVs

@Killionaire96 Yea but the process is so annoying :/ I tried it only twice and it took me like 2 days. I wouldn't recommend that you try to get 31 in all stats cause keep in mind they are random in every single hatch you make, unless you are passing them down, which improve your chances of passing them down.

When you hatch there isn't a big chance that you pass them all down. For ex you might only get 3 of the 4 or 2..etc. When I iv breed I usually hatch around 30 eggs just to get one I want...

So far I didnt get a Dratini with a 31 IV in HP ATK and Def...

i trying to pass down the IVs to the hatchlings.

Do I need to keep trying?

@Killionaire96 Well yea you already started just go for it.. That's why I don't like IV breeding cause the process seems to take forever :/ Anyways you'll get it eventually, so don't give up.

@gabriel11211 yes the 0-31 is each stat. its a secret number which can be calculated. basicly you want 31s. the higher the number the better the pokemon. you might want to take a look at my new video it does much more explaining.

each has a 0-31 value

the best ivs are 30-31 if ur pokemon has 31 ivs in alot but low in much, don't use it for battle, but u can replace the other one u were breeding with, if this one has better ivs, so u would get even better ivs in babies

and a good way to get good ivs is a japanese max iv hacked ditto

i got a max iv infernape and scizor by doing this :)

Before I was able to RNG eggs in my Soul silver I had to do it the hard way like this. It sure payed off nicely. Togepi - Bold - 31/04/31/28/29/31 Now he's an amazing paraflincher. Togekiss @ Leftovers/Lum Berry EV's: 252 HP/ 188 Def/ 68 Spd Moves: Air Slash Aura Sphere Roost Thunder Wave. Not only that but he's the first ever pokemon I've got to level 100 without the daycare. I'm so proud of this Pokemon and it will always be cherished with me. My best non-RNG'd pokemon.

this is a sick video.. but im still pretty confused on ivs. all those dittos in your box. do you have one of every nature?.do they all have a certain high iv in their stats too? what if you want your egg to be adamant nature and high attack iv nature.. or what if instead you wanted high def ivs. the same ditto cant produce both of those eggs right?

I heard something, but I want to confirm it. If you breed two pokemon while holding any of the power items, will it pass on that particular stat? Exp. Power Anklet influences the Speed stat.

so i guess you wanted the Jolly nature to get your 31 speed IVs? does it have to be the nature of the stat for the IVs to work?could it be Timid and work the same way? Then you could use a power item to pass down those 31 Ivs, then make the egg the other stat you want in Ivs nature, so attack Ivs would be Adamant-Brave-Lonely-Naughty? so you would want to do the Iv stat of the nature you want last then?

there's also others way breeding the same kind of pokemon with the iv u want the process is much faster then ditto the rate of an egg with the ditto is like 19.5% and with the same race the rate for an egg is up too 49.5% in my eyes i rather go with same races for faster eggs

1) how do you get good iv dittos? is catching the only method?

2) does breeding with good iv dittos give you good iv eggs?

3) how does iv pass down through the egg? the father? the mother? both? or the ditto?

1.yes sadly catching is the ony method or trading

2.yes mosty & no it is all controlled by chance

3.BOTH ivs are passed randomly in about these chances hp 1/8 atk 1/4 def 1/6 sp.atk 1/4 sp.def 1/4 for speed if i remeber right i will have to test =P

you can "pass" 3 or 4 ivs but in HG & SS you could in theory pass all 6 im soon going to make a video to show to pass 3 in HG without a sweat

Does the ditto act as a female, therefore giving a 50% of the offspring being of the same nature? That means I just have to breed over and over again until I get the proper attack IV?

That's the proper method for one max IV. Can you outline the best method for 2 max IV's for the Pokemon?

I tried Bagon and Gyarados but the guy says 'they like to play with other pokemon. who do i have to breed bagon and gyarados with that will allow the offspring to mate with my larvitar to make a newborn larvitar that knows dragon dance?

how to breed 2 ivs without having a ditto with nature and 1 iv wanted

1. breed egg move

2. breed nature and egg move hatch a male & female (note: female must have nature male do not care)

3. breed male(with egg move) with ditto for 1st iv get male with iv wanted

5.breed male with egg move with ditto with 2nd iv get a male with iv

6. breed male with 2nd iv with female with nature and 1st iv till you get the pokemon with both eg move and both ivs

Note this may take a while and is much longer process then if you had a ditto with nature and iv wanted

your really only checking the "final" patch to make sure they have the nature you want so you dont waste your time hatching eggs that have the wrong nature and ability. it just cuts the tiem it takes you to get the pokemon you want by about half

I know how to get the nature I want but are the IV's based on luck? i am having a hard time. I am shooting for a starmie with timid nature and capable of taking hits. i got two of them but their IV's suck. what should I do?

the best answer is to get HG or SS but if that isnt an option then keep trying becuase its basicly pure luck. but if you have lets say a ditto with the 2 ivs you want and a starmie with the 2 ivs you want keep breeding those 2 until it randomly gives you the 3rd iv you want
