Thanks for you videos. I am a mom 2 Boys 8 (almost 9) and 6 I also have a daughter who is 8 months old. We have home schooled from the beginning. There are many days I do not want to get out of bed. But thank God we have a savior who can give us what we need. He tells us in Matthew 11:28-30
Have you heard of Dr. J. Vernon McGee and Thru the Bible? I look forward to getting my children on the "Bible Bus" one day as part of our homeschool curriculum.
@easyhomeschooler The website is ttb.org. I have been listening to it for years and absolutely love it. They go though the entire bible in 5 years. I like that they go slowly (about a chapter a day). If you sign up for their newsletter they mail you a bookmark with the scripture reading for the day and free study guides for each book of the Bible. I usually listen while I eat breakfast and later on in the day read the bible portion discussed that day.
Turkey Bacon! I had no doubts. I baked ciabatta bread this morning (made the dough last night) that was the wake up call for the girls! LOL! Love the Amplified Bible too -- are you my twin? Peace and Blessings to you and your family.
@doguiefresh7890 I just discovered the Amplified for my quiet times this year and LOVE it! I am typically a New King James/ NLT gal, but this amplified really makes me think deeper into the meaning of each scripture like a treasure hunt. There is so much to pull out of scripture, even just one verse.
@easyhomeschooler LOL! I "discovered" the amplified Bible in large print which I needed since I've progressed to "progressives". My husband also discovered it and adopted it as his own. My first choice is King James and fortunately my mom in law, 88 gave us a 70 yr old copy. Its amazing how the translations are quite different. When you get unmomento look at the Biblegateway website it has many translations in many languages as well. This will definately increase your bounty.;)
Thanks for the encouragement. I could only wish to get up that early in the morning. We are all late night folks and late getting up. I just look at like at least i get what i need to get done even if it didnt happen within others norm for timeframe. But I sure do wish i could wake at least 30 mins before the kids. I will try and shoot for that. Thanks for reminding me of that.
@Ejahi You are aboslutely right- you get done what you need to within the time you have, and that's really what counts. It is really difficult to get up before everyone, especially when you have a young baby. I just attempted doing this only recently and it is working for me now, but certainly wouldn't have about a few years ago. It's all about seasons- and as long as we accomplish what we need to, we should get all the rest we need, no matter what time of the day it is :-)
