  • My parents' 3.8L Taurus died at 96,000 kilometres, or about 61,000 miles. What a completely hopeless piece of shit.

  • this car must have been built on a wednesday

  • nice car

  • the transmission on the 1992-1995 Ford Taurus

    Transmission

    4-speed AXOD-E automatic

    4-speed AX4S automatic

    4-speed AX4N automatic

  • That same year model was once our family sedan 15 years ago. GOOD RIDDENS PIECE OF SHIT!!!! Crappiest car my family ever owned. Wouldent see me driving into work it the pos.

Thank heaven I got my Zaidas 1989 BMW 745li as my first car.

  • oh god it's hideous. one of the ugliest generations of taurus

  • damn i f*ckin' hate the door ajar beep....

  • How much HP? Engine sounds strong.

  • LOL The chime shouldnt be going off with no keys in the ignition

  • @sheersoxNC do you know why it does that

  • This Ford Taurus ROCKS!!!!

  • my name's Keaton! my first name.

  • Ahh thanks for that door chime finally turning off.

  • for a 95 ...its in good condition

  • The door alarm goes off without the key in the ignition?!?! That would get really annoying.

  • @ipomd that means you left the headlights on.

  • I wouldn't buy a car with that much mileage on it

  • @ScooterGuy29 Exactly. My Mom had a 1991 Taurus, and the tranny went up at 67,000 miles!! It was replaced and it went up again at 150,000!! If people would just do their research, they'd know that early-to-mid 90's Tauruses were notorious for early transmission failure. It is a well noted fact.

  • i don't see why the dinger goes off when the door is open and the key is not in the ignition, it should go off when the door is open and the key is in the ignition

  • 238,000 Miles and it still fires up on the first crank - That's a Ford for ya! :)

  • @jmurray01 we've never owned a Ford that hasn't turned the 200k mark. Built Ford tough for sure!

  • Ugh, smoker car. No wonder it has seat covers. To hide the cigarette burns.

  • my parents had a 90s taurus (not sure what year) i have an 02 taurus, and im sure not so distant furture my kids or i will get a newer taurus ,,,,SHO preferebly :)

  • Who cares if it has high milage or isnt perfect not everyone is rich!

  • @TheDataZoo

Yeah, that's true. Anyways, i'd prefer to buy this one than a Killed In Action piece of crap.

  • saabkyle04 you should of made a test drive with this car!

  • my car :)

  • 238,000 miles on it? I definitely wouldn't buy any car with that much mileage.

  • i heard this generation of the taurus has crappy head gaskets is that enuff to shy me away from it

  • @grinnellalarms i love ignorant people lol

  • @VirginiasLoudest what is that suppose to mean i was only asking should i pass on this car or check it out

  • the song on the radio brought me back to my early childhood sniff sniff

  • You can tell when a reviewer doesn't really like or appreciate the vehicle they are reviewing. They yank and poke at the material, especially if it's cheap. They pretty much abuse the product before they give it a good send off.

  • the transmission on the 1992-1995 Ford Taurus

    Transmission

    4-speed AXOD-E automatic

    4-speed AX4S automatic

    4-speed AX4N automatic

  • Those generation Taurus didn't offer a tach, except in the LX, and of course the SHO...

  • I had a green '95 Taurus w/ Green interior. I loved the car despite its issues: speedometer broke twice (30k, replaced & 60k, not replaced); tranny that would tell the engine to speed up to upshift causing undesired acceleration; moody thermostat that couldn't be fixed resulting in vehicle shutdown to prevent overheating, even though car was not hot.

Got 30-35mpg highway & was very comfortable. I had the 3.0, not this 3.8 though (and never had check engine light like this video has).

  • Where can i find the owners manual for this car?

  • @BigHyundai If you go to the junkyard and look in the glove box of every Taurus there you will probably find one. It's not guaranteed but you would be amazed at the good stuff some people leave in their glove boxes.

  • Confirmed to go 195km/h or 120mph.

  • @halflife103 not that i encourage it.

  • Forgot to mention my Taurus came with a phone in the ARM rest does anyone know how they are used?

  • @cortesnme You can't use them anymore, they use AMPS, which is shutdown.

  • I love my 95 Taurus only 137000 + mls on it . Regular check ups and maintenance it takes me all over California.

  • I had one of these. Same color and year. It was a great car

  • I wouldnt mind a Taurus like this one. I would just have to do one thing though, put the Chevy engine in!

  • my dads taurus front seat was one big bench seat ,so 3 people can sit upfront, and it had a seatbelt for the middle person too

  • I just got a light silver Taurus from my mom's 100 year old aunt.It is super mint I dont think anybody ever sat in the back seats. It only has and I swear on my life 11,525 miles thats not a typo eleven thousand and change. She is 100 so she doesnt drive,I was nervous that it would have alot of leaks and dry-rot but it sat in her garage the whole time she got it.It still has the General tires that came with it with alot of tread left.I just charged the motorcraft batt.and it sounds like a dream.

  • To all of you that have cars like this one, please, please make start up videos. Cold starts of older Tauruses are so rare, and they're my favorite cars ever!

  • I swear dude you make cars feel brand new with the in-depth tour of every vehicle.

  • My brother inherited a 95 taurus from my grandpa's friend when he died. And it has only 75,000 miles on it. The guy bought it used sometime in the 90s and he only put a couple thousand miles on it a year.

  • @carson0524 my dad also got a 95 taurus for free from his moms sister, once her husband died. also got it with 75,000 miles, and it died in 2009 without about 148k miles, should of lasted much longer, but lack of care and using water as coolant did really bad damage, it was very large as you probably already know, and bouncy! hahah

  • the transmissions in these vehicles were horrible

  • @h2lkid Your Correct, I just got a 94 GL today, and it shifts rough

  • @Pendragon1989 yup, from 1987 ish to 1996 their transmissions were very bad...

  • @h2lkid Our old Taurus never had that problem.

  • @michelinman8592 some of them dont, but the 80s ones did as well as the early 90s ones

  • I have a 1995 Ford Taurus GL 3.0 Litre V6 Engine, 192,000 miles on it. Had it for about 5 years now, it's a great running car. I'm 20 now and I love the car although it has broken down on me a lot in the past. Last time it broke down on me was 4 months ago with the water pump.

  • Ford's door chimes are probably the most calming of all the makes... the other ones are just sad.

  • @NiharM77 My 2001 mustang has the same one. The new chime in the new fords with sync is kinda annoying, wish they would switch back.

  • do an older taurus please

  • I have a silver one of these. Very, very good car. <3

  • if you get a chace can you try to find a 93 ford taurus to do a review on?

  • This car is indestructible. I have one, I'm a 16 year old (so you know i put it through some shit) and mine has 460 thousand miles on it and still runs like a champ.

  • 238k u need to junk that lol the steering in mines is shitty mines only have 130k got it from an auction for 900 runs like a champ

  • My grandfather used to own this car it was amazing then and now

  • oh man, i used to own this exact same piece of crap car. except my interior was green

  • good god, clean the bird shit off of it

  • by the way, you forgot to go over the performance details!!! lol

anyway, we have this same car except white in color, has roughly the same amount of miles, maybe give or take a couple hundred, and ours breaks down every 4 months on average, and it costs us a lot of money we dont have to get it fixed. its good for a family car, but not if your expecting a life-long performance from the vehicle.

  • My dad had this same car execpt his was white. They are very nice cars

  • I have a 1995 ford taurus and its green exterior and green interior!!!

  • thats what my old car was. except mine was a 1994 Ford Taurus GL, and it was beige.

  • haha thats my car, except mines tan with dirty white SHO wheels

  • the 1992-1995 Ford Taurus was assembled in

    Hapeville, Georgia

    Chicago, Illinois

  • @Annihilator1111 I thought it was made in Atlanta? The old Ford Factory said on the side (before the deconstruction when it moved to Mexico) "Home of the Ford Taurus and Mercury Sable"

  • @Annihilator1111 The sticker on the small rear window on mine says "Proudly built in Atlanta,Georgia"

  • @TheRalphus666 oh where i looked on it says Chicago probably Hapeville is in Atlanta like for the new Jags made in Castle Bromich in Birmingham Hapeville is a part of Atlanta

  • @Annihilator1111 Thats weird, I used to always drive by the old Taurus/Sable factory before they tore it down (The Porche North American headtquarters is moving there, YES!!!) but I never saw a sign that said hapeville

  • If this car is still at the dealership can you ever test drive this car?

  • Despite the age, the vehicle has good condition. There is no rust. In Russia ford taurus was not so populal like in America, because it was not officialy sold. In 1990s years pepople not officially imported this model in Russia, an main problem was - "where to find genuine parts". Nowadays situation is better - there are a lot of companies that deliver parts for american cars, that were not officially sold in Russia. . Also there is fan club in Russia taurus-club.ru

  • Those older Taurus's are nice cars if you can maintain them. If you beat on it, it'll turn into a pile of shit really fast. Trust me. My first car was a '95. Had the 3.0L Vulcan. Fired up every time, but it was a rustbucket. My second car is a '94 Taurus with the 3.8L Essex. It's got great power, although you need to keep up with maintenance on them

  • American cars like this one in particular are really ugly and cheap. The car I want for my first car is the one to your right in the suggested videos. 2004 Phaeton ;-) -------->

  • That's a classic of the 90s

  • the 4th gen is even shittier.

  • @newandused1998 for 16 year old car its not in bad shape. and gen 4's are very reliable you just got to do regular maintnence

  • Comment removed

  • wow. that car is not too bad. I am surprised that the chime is constantly sounding even when the key isn't in there and the lights are not on. Good old Ford. Now you have a more annoying chime inside the ford.

  • @FoxyWolfProductionz Actually when you first open the door and the power isn't on, the chime shouldn't be sounding. It only sounds once the power is turned on for about 5 seconds then it will go off. There's probablly something wrong with the ignition sensor. I know because i own a 1993 Mercury Sable.

  • What a great find.

I miss the old Taurus. Cant wait to see a older Sable on this channel! Sable rules.

A old Taurus SHO would be Kyles best find yet!!!

  • @yellowcow13 hey man i drive a 93 mercury sable if you want me to post a video just ask me

  • @xXDaMasta18Xx That would be really cool! I had a friend with a 93 sable and i thought it was great.

  • that car is so awful, i wouldnt get one even if its free.

  • Thanks for doing this car! Been waiting! Could you possible do a Taurus Wagon ??

  • @toyota4life94 Why did you go solely toyota?

  • Hey kyle I see that there is a sliver Hyundai Accent in the video at 2:15 . Is there any chance that you could do a tour on that ?? If you could that would be great

    Thank you !!

  • Nice car Kyle, but hate that 3.8L. If only they were bulletproof like the GM's 3800

  • I liked the part where it goes ding ding ding ding ding ding ding

  • anyone know if the column shifter is standard or an option?

  • @awin123 yep the column shifter is standard and im not sure if u can get a console shifter option on the taurus but i own a 1993 Mercury Sable and it has a console shifter which was an option from Ford at the time

  • @xXDaMasta18Xx Yeah, Tauruses come with them too, they're just somewhat rare. I personally prefer the ones with the console shifter, it makes it feel sportier.

  • ah the 3.8 heard those engines were gasket eaters...

  • got a few years older from this exact car..i like this version better

  • my neighbor has one. It probably has more than 268,000 miles since he's a mechanic.

  • You should run the A/C on these cars more, it'll do it good as it's meant to be run every now and again apparently...

  • I wouldn't mind having a Taurus, hell, I drive a '90 Escort!

  • I had a 94 with the 3.0 v6 for my first car. God it was a piece of shit but surprisingly it never broke down on me. It lived in the shop though. Yes theyre cheap but if you see one and you wanna buy it, run away as fast as possible

  • @97I30T Why is it a pos? You said it never broke down. Ran slow?

  • @The1FastGP The tranny slipped, the speedometer refused to work, it constantly leaked oil, it sqeaked and rattled more than a jar of marbles, the power steering went out, the rear suspension collapsed, the power windows had a mind of their own, no cruise control, the A/C broke, The heater quit working, it could only manage 15 mpg, the radiator blew.....The cars engine was stellar but everything else on it quit working at some point. All of this happened in a year and a half

  • @97I30T The car also had 116000 miles on it when I got in 2006. Thats way too many problems for a car with those miles in my opinion. My i30 I have now hasnt had half of those problems and it has 169000 on it. Theres no comparison between foriegn and domestic cars. Ive owned two Fords and they were both nightmares

  • @97I30T Same with my mom's 2002 Windstar SE. It now has 1593** miles, and the only problem we've EVER had was the driver side window motor was broken (we have since fixed it.). Other than that ONE problem, it is great.

  • @michelinman8592 Yeah there are good fords and bad fords. I was driving my friends 99 Taurus and the heater broke while we were sitting in traffic. I didnt touch anything and it started blowing cold air. She blamed it on me. Lol

  • @97I30T Damn, what a piece of shit.

  • sound like the power steering fluid is low

  • Very Nice! I always liked the Ford Taurus.

  • Kyle...I noticed the check engine light was on @ 3:16 prior to your revs. Not good but at least it still runs! Anyway, always a thumbs up dude! Nothing like watching your videos daily and hitting that thumbs up below the video.

  • can you do the red sunfire at 0:20

  • It's name is "Dillion" awwwww :D

  • 1:46 Lol, it started flashing as soon as the camera went by.

  • i cant believe they still use that same climate setup and buttons for windows and locks. it's 2011!! change it up!!!

  • hey could you do a video of that dark colored saturn SL2 in the background?

  • Those engines last forever, the trannies....not so much. Sounds like the typical ford power steering pump whine. Though i like the Vulcan 3.0L engines better the 3.8s where pretty tough, just have to watch the head gaskets.

  • that was out high school driver's Ed car when i was in school....LOL..brings back memories!

  • classic ford!!! =D

  • saabkyle, new videos all the time. AWSOME! Im a huge fan!!! What are thinking of doing on your 1000't video?? Something spesial i hope :)

  • nice Taurus! wow a TON of miles and still fires right up!

  • nice Taurus!

  • @Maine684 I've never had one. I just know a few people who have. I heard the 3L engine is junk though. Car wise, I would chose a crown vic over something like this in a heartbeat.

  • what a piece of....

  • My grandfather drove a 1989 Taurus.

  • What happened with the quality? Your latest videos look like they were made with your old camera. I'm sorry to disturbing you again with the quality, but it is striking.

  • @gentle285 Umm no, there is nothing different with the videos, they are the same they always have been

  • @saabkyle04 Maybe the bad weather did that with the quality (poor light conditions). Anyway, thanks for the reply and for the video! Great as always.

  • @gentle285 Thanks bud!

  • @gentle285 it was processing the video so the quality is kinda bad when it is processing.

  • @CPNews4554 It was already processed 10 hours ago when I watched it :) Thats why I don't understand.

  • ford taurus=There goes grandad picking up the gran children :D

  • Great video's. But maybe it's more interesting to choose cars who are 1 or 2 owner or which have less then 100k miles? I know this a little bid harder, but I personally think it's more interesting.

  • Our 1994 was a good for nothing piece of shit! Great video!

  • @michelinman8592 mY 94 I had was an absolute nightmare

  • @97I30T We had COUNTLESS problems. 1, passenger door broke. 2, blew 3 heater hoses within two and a half years. 3, bad left rear strut. 4, no muffler. 5, bad ignition switch. 6, power driver seat broke all the way forward. 7, broken... Sorry, I know it's boring. To the point, that car was done in at 130,*** last year when my mom slid into a guardrail at the end of a steep hill.

  • @97I30T thats nice, this is 2011 not 1994... ford has changed.

  • @steve9509 Thanks for sharing, I had no idea......Smartass

  • @97I30T ;)

  • saabkyle04, i have a question. I come from Sweden and I'm only wondering if it is posible for you to make a video about the Subaru Forester? about 09-11 generation:)

  • What some of you are forgetting about the last 2 reviews on cars from this dealer is, most of the people who are coming to look/buy one are really not concerned on how it looks or how boring it is they just want a car that runs..gets them from point a 2 point b with a cheap price.

  • Can you find a Volvo 850 T-5??

  • looks like a shady dealership to me

  • can you find a 1988 taurus?

  • Comment removed

  • man! some cars beep if you didn't do anything..... this is annoying

  • @weaponexpert1 I agree! all the cars saabkyle reviewed have these beepers and buzzers that annoys the crap out of you ahahah

I'm lucky that here (at least in italy) cars have barely the "headlight on" buzzer

  • looking at the video more closely the 00 taurus dashboard looks like a updated one of this car lol

  • fuck that noise is loud, should of shut the door.

  • ive always loved this body syle taurus...and the 00-06

  • you can start that car without the key

  • kyle do toyota sprinter/levin/trueno/ae86/hachiroku

  • Hi! Can you find and make video about Ford Thunderbird (1989–1997) and Subaru SVX? I know last one is very very rare, even at mobile.de (European biggest vehicle marketplace online) there is only twenty SVX on sale, but if you got luck to find it I would appreciate! :)

  • hey kyle, i was wondering, since randy keaton and car connections are both in reidsville and on the same street, don't you guys ever get any competition?

  • now that you have done a Ford Taurus of 1995 Vintage, you need to Do Dodge/Chrysler's answer to the Taurus in 1995: the Chrysler Cirrus/Dodge Stratus! ( if you can find one in your area...)

  • i think it's got some electrical problems if the chime keeps sounding without the key and the right front turn signal started blinking after all the other ones did, none of that should happen

  • do you have a video of that 96 to 99 taurus ??? the black one and nice video man i like the 96 to 98 taurus ha like yea i kno they got a fish nose but i dont care

  • @CRXJDM88 if I remember correctly, he did a 1999 Taurus SHO with the V8!

  • There's no key in the ignition and the chime is going off with the door open. My Tempo does that ALL the time. You have to stick the key in again and jiggle it. So irritating.

  • This Taurus is in amazing shape considering the amount of miles it has on it and it's age.

  • @impaladave77 They last surprisingly well! My grandma used to have one.

  • i would never buy a car from that place

  • That trunk screams " Get the fuck in"

  • @90Mrknowitall i loled out loud reading that comment man, thanks for making my day HAHA!!

  • @stopscrewingaround11 LMAO i always seem to get in the highest rated comment section.. LOL its true and your very welcome!!!!!!

  • this car is so boring, nothing special about it, just a PLAIN car, might as well be a piece of plain toast on wheels

  • @NadrianATRS They may seem bland compared to todays cars, but don't you remember what a difference they were when they first came out? They were more streamlined than any other sedan made at the time!

There are several cars I can think of (the Kia Optima, for one) that are way more boring than Tauruses.

  • @NadrianATRS Hey, another Taurus means one video close to the 1000th video!
