So I'm pretty sure that is a whammola/theremin. I really dig this dudes music and creativity. But I'm effing positive he didn't invent that thing, so much as he elaborated on Claypools Whamola. I also am just saying "claypools Whamola" because apparently nobody actually know who invented it. @Laviedusurrealisme I've met him twice, and he created all of his instruments. He was formerly a double bassist that studied at juliard and he got bored with the school and wanted to push the instrument in new creative ways. You should hear his stories about trying to get his "magic boot" through airport security!

I could just imagine this guy walking through airport security; two hats on, crazy beard, wild look in his eyes, saying that he creates his own instruments and one of them happens to look like a bomb in a shoe. lol
