he is singing in a different tune than the original version....a lowest one...

He sings throughout most of the song, and, well, it is a rather long song. It would cause a lot trauma to his (beautiful) voice to sing it in the key heard in the song and the rest of the concert, even if it was the finale.

Like with Last he said he never performed it because it was "too fucking hard to sing". He did it though, in a similar lower key. The extended ending here gives him time to recover, I think.

It's no new thing for Tront to fuck up lyrics, though he seems to do it a lot more now that he's sober. Which is ironic...But still. I think that's why he added the Only Time/Closer Mash up, so people would be so surprised and forget that he never gets the final lyrics of Closer right. Hail Tront Rezzler!

Ahv seen NIN 3 times and not once have they played this live. A just thought it was to hard for them to reproduce the sound of the guitars live. Doest quite sound as good as the album but still good tho. My fave NIN tune!
