  • Ah 240p we meet again...

  • this is the first time ive seen a motorcycle in a dyno

  • 240p only!? For fuck sake!

  • Don't want to sound like a hater but Italian bikes look beautiful but they suck mechanically.

  • @mtcandsn7 u obv have no clue.

  • @mtcandsn7 Never had a problem with any of mine. The Ducati Desmodue motor is bullet proof. The desmoquattro and testastretta are very bad ass technologically, though do require maintenance. Its not even difficult maintenance, just that most people don't want to do the work themselves, so they pay a dealer to do it. The newest motors, the Ducati Testastretta 11-degree engines, have the same main maintenance intervals as most/many Japanese big displacement bikes, so... that's its now moot

  • I didn't knew the Desmosedici RR had a Quickshifter.

  • @eppsislike apparently its not a quickshifter. The Desmosedici was actually developed with dry shifting in mind. Thats when you shift without the use of the clutch. It just allows for faster shifting. I may be wrong but thats what I've read.

  • @eppsislike you just roll back on the throttle ever so slightly while loading the shift lever with your toe, and it clicks into gear. works on all motorcycles. if you are in a manual transmission car, its possible too but much tricker because of shift pattern and rev characteristics. Helps if the car's transmission is 'loosened up' a bit rather than brand new and overly tight.

  • American D16 weak in comparison to the ones sold in scotland. Thats a fact

  • i wonder if there are some porn sites with guys sticking their penises into ducatis!

  • THAT IS INSANELY QUICK !!!

  • i love how the back end climbs from insane torque :D:D:D

  • Siamo i migliori!!! English japan american fuck! Italian! We have all! Aprilia, ducati, mv augusta, lamborghini, bugatti, ferrari... Do you want any one?

  • jizz.

  • this is an awesome sounding bike

  • from 0:58 to 1:10 it sounds like a 125 cc lol i don't like the sound but this bike is a beast

  • @kyzer97320 i have seen one of these with a gp race exhaust, and trust me it aint no 125!! Its awesome! could hear it over a mile away!

  • @kyzer97320 This clip is not doing it justice. They started one of these at a Ducati dealership for a potential customer. I was looking at a 1098s at the time but looked over from a distance at the D16rr. The guy watched a the key turned the ignition on then saw the salesman's finger press the start button but when it fired up he jumped a mile and my ears were hurting. It's stupidly loud and raw sounding like a GP bike.

  • @TheDelianLeague My dream bike was a Ducati 1198 S but now I think I maybe purchasing one of these they are completely and utterly insane !!!!!!!!

  • @MrSkinPower The guy who owned the desmo said that as a road bike it's rubbish and unless your willing to ride to extremely high levels you will be slower than being on an R or even an S. Personally I prefer the sound and look of the 1098/1198 series not to mention the benefit it price lol

  • @TheDelianLeague Since that comment I have looked further into the Desmo and still prefer the 1098/1198 two hugely good bikes but have recently developed a love for the Aprilia RSV1000R Factory and the good ol' Suzuki TL1000R =D

  • dag de gas

  • There is somthing very sexy about this bike almost female

  • put the yamaha M1 on the road and FUCK! ducati...

  • what was the result?

  • This should be a ride where people pay like €10 to rev the the fuck out of a bike.

  • more gaaaaasssssss :D

  • @emtildeath

Lose energy? Really? So do they use them in MotoGP then? (I know the GP9 does but not sure abotu Honda, Ymaha et al)

  • The Ferrari of motorcycles.

  • @Nikolasferreira

well then don't watch the vid....

  • use the clutch!

  • more gas, MORE FUCKING GAS.

  • I used to do it when racing 2 stroke dirt bikes, yeah not recommended but I read up the Ducati was designed to support this type of shifting.

  • I just bought a 2010 1198s but i doesn`t have shit on this masterpiece...

  • upshifting without the clutch?

  • @sookster54 normal on a bike .

  • @sookster54 as long as you blip the throttle, which he did, you can upshift without using the clutch. It's faster, but I wouldn't recommend doing it all the time, using the clutch just makes it smoother and a little easier on the bike.

  • @CrockettRockett88

That's why Ducati put a dry clutch on this bike, for clutchless shifts.

  • @Evancarrick12 actually no, its to make it easier to change the clutch in a race I believe. You can do clutchless changes easy on a bike w/ a wet-clutch like most japanese bikes. Actually I can clutchless change on a Suzuki GSXR1000 a LOT easier than I can on my Ducati Multistrada, which doens't like them at all!

  • @StigRossi

Hmm.. Interesting, I've never ridden a dry clutch, but for some reason I had that conception.. I've been wrong before.

  • numbers?!?!

  • @banana12292

My boss has a tuned one with 220 on the rear wheel ;). Stock is 200 I think.

  • @dazzelya wanna ask your boss to give me the bike? that'd be real nice :D

  • that sound is unbelieveable

  • 2:11 woow =)

  • The sound of this bike is AMAZING. What a minute... I just creamed my pants.

  • i suppose if i sold everything i owned and moved into a cardboard box i could buy one...

  • @SolidGold1980 same goes here..lol..this bike is almost to 200k usd in my country..

  • @SolidGold1980 it's all about priorities. Use good quality cardboard and you'll be fine!

  • Forza Italia.

    Grande

  • Bad sound

  • @Boscoloantonio WHAT!!! U can´t be serious,i´m for all japanese bikes but this thing is freaking hardcore. and it revs almost as high as an inline four.U can´t base what it sounds like by a youtube clip.

  • sweet bike .unfortunantly i wille never get the cash for this one

  • wait never mind i think this is a ducati.

  • kool bike never heard of it, but it looks faster than a ducati.

  • @Nfshackerz101 it....is...a ducati

  • @Nfshackerz101 It is a Ducati

  • Damn that sound is so awesome , i really really really want one lol !

  • Gorgeous sounding bike, but that guy is asking for it with his loose coat in such close proximity to that rear tire and chain.

  • Id still love one of these, but i thought they had more rear wheel HP than that. As for the sound, i think my Streetfighter sounds better. Plus they cost 3 times the cost of my 'Fighter S.

  • @bradlez996 really? your streetfighter sounds better huh?

  • Water used to was this bike only comes fresh from italy.

  • I would literally kill someone to get a bike like that!

  • @danthemanzizzle

    about 70 grand

  • they sound like V8's, and i love it.

  • 200 hp ...made in italy........

  • horspower?????

  • a legentary bike... no need to ride it... just hear, see and touch...

  • one of the best looking bikes ever made, just a dream

  • This thing is weak as.

  • it sounds like a v engine..is it??

  • @k3t4t a v4 engine

  • has that got a built in slipper clutch cos he wasn't using the clutch to change up gears (2:15) only to change down?!

  • @richard1717 it's a motorcycle, you don't have to use the clutch to up shift or downshift. you really only need one to take off and stop.

I never use my clutch to upshift riding on the track

  • @blue03r6 wouldn't you need to hit the gearing right at the specific rev timing where the gears can change tho if ya not gonna use the clutch?1

  • @blue03r6 this is only possible when you are having a wet clutch. don't now what kind of bike ur riding.

  • @richard1717 im guesiing it will but that has nothing to do with upshifts anyway. he was just rev matching to change up, can be done on any bike.

  • At frame 3:40, why does the chain move that much?

  • @vazh3r The chain flops around like that because of the torque that the engine produces, since the top part of the chain gets really tight the lower part gets loose, and at that particular time i believe the dyno was running a drive line test to see the HP at the crank by measuring the engine speed and the drum speed on the dyno

  • @fchavez09 Oh I see, thanks for the info.

  • I just had the rare chance to ride this bike, and even at 80k, i was making excuses on how i could spend that kind of money on this bike. So incredible above 6500 rpms higher revs were out right evil. It will get you to 180+ faster than any other bike you could buy today. And that doesn't even count the most incredible sound that comes out ... so far i haven't found anything on the web to give it full credit on its true sound. Go out and find a way to take one for a lap! (life changing)

  • sweet vid!

  • Sounds so good, itll make your grandma wet!

  • conservative factory pro dyno it put 153 bhp to the rear tire

  • if his coat were any longer....

  • @dchopchop it would be a totally different video if it was lol

  • sounds like a corvette

  • $80 000 for one of these!? u serious?

my friends dad has a desmodici and like, i knew they are rich but fuck. $80 K? (btw he has a 1098 S aswell, +i dont kno much bout bikes but it did say desmodici on the side of his bike, so dont say im lieing)

  • @yoseb92 ducati of seattle has one for 60k its a pretty crazy bike you get some funny looks riding it in downtown seattle

  • 4:10 Fuckin Hell!! And why the hel has the guy got earmuffs on at the end he should be soakin in all that noise, what a waste!!

  • I love the sound this bike kicks out, awesome :)

  • SICK

  • yeah an $80,000 monster...I think I'll get the new BMW R1000SS it has 187.6 hp on dyno run and use the $62000 savings for girls, track days, tires, home down payment, new truck, fue,l transportation tools, travel etc...etc...etc...

  • This bike wasnt targeted to sell to the average joe.

  • my god what has ducati done they have created a monster!

  • This tech might as well blow dry his hair in the bathtub! Wearing a loose lab coat around spinning mechanical parts is just plain stupid! I wonder what would happen if the "tails" of his coat got caught in the chain?

  • This bike is my dream!

  • my dad got one!!!!!!!

    haha awesome

  • You dad is probably a bitch and ride the D16 worth a shit.

  • this bike i a dream for anyone who knows....

  • They are asking too much money for it so therefore its irrelevant ..Can you buy one?

  • i might can...its one of the best bikes ever made for everyday use...instead of a quite good car u can buy this...

  • @sar1one The Vyrus 986 is so much beautifuller than this FISH

  • @zxGHOSTr goodnight

  • That things got BALLS

  • MADE IN ITALY :)

  • @Andzezze750 proudly made in italy

  • Demon of all bikes

  • love the sound...what does it redline at?

  • 13 i believe not sure the panel is digital

  • Well, it was a LOT more exciting to be there in person then watching this vid :(

  • This is still nothing more than hotted up streetbike. That is great on the racetrack. Even though its a GP6 replica. Compare it to Capirossi's GP6 which did 240 HP at the rear wheel and Stoners GP7,8,9 which does 220+ HP at the rear wheel. The street version GP bike is no comparision at 200 HP at the crank. Which is like 185-190 at the rear wheel. The real GP bikes hover around 200+ mph easy! This bike will never hit 200 unless it had some head work and different pistons.

  • well w/eva, its an amazing bike nonetheless.

As a Ducati owner (Multi) its frankly the only Ducati I currently lust over, the 1198s just dont do it for me anymore. This is so rorty, so emotional and it sounds so good

  • It's not only a question of power....

Desmosedici has a great frame and suspensions, comparable to the motoGP's ones... obviously you cant use a gp engine on a race bike, it lasts 700km, i don't think you would like to change engine every 1000km for 40hp more but not so much more torque...

  • @ducatisti1

Test reports say this bike tops out around 225mph... So you may want to check where you are getting your info.

No it is not a MotoGP bike, the motor is too big.

  • niceee

  • Fed up with people comparing this to a jap bike, you may be able to get the same BHP from your Suzuki Kawi or Yam but it will never be as good. Check out this video, links in brackets

( ducati desmosedicci rr: full report )

now tell me your dream bike is a mainstream Jap 1000cc thats had some mods. This bikes in a league of it's own, where it's the only competitor. Suprised at the expense im suprised it's so cheap!!!!

  • Like gt 500 eleanor

  • I don't know why people keep compering jap. bikes to ducati. is 2 different worlds. is like comparing a mustang combra to a ferrari or something of that nature. they are both great bike is just depending on what you are looking for and what you can afford. besides the rider makes the bike. 2000 ducati 996s

  • @mandarrin youre right my man.

  • what is the actual top speed on a rr because theres all these dyno and top speed video's but no-one ever says the top speed

  • obvisouly around 100,000,000,000mph

  • at least

  • 196 mph.

  • he can hardly change gears.

  • 8bhp at the flywheel n 1ft/lb of torque hows that? she will lift in 1st with a massive pull!

  • my yammy 80 wud smoke it big time!!!

  • Dropkickstef, another well informed Ducati hater. I guess at 56k each these ugly bikes and their idiot owners will be clogging up your hillbilly roads with all kinds of danger. Stick with the minivan.

  • my friends got one, he's had nothing but trouble with it ! amaze tho when it works !

  • Music!!!

  • this dude dont was full trottle

  • V4 DOHC Twin-Pulse desmodromic 989 cc motorcycle racing engine...

    197.3 bhp vs 170 kgs

    Road legal...

    Ducati I love you ^^

  • Expect this put out 182 at the wheel... nothing a Jap 1000cc isn't capable of with a cam and a little bit of tweaking... oh, and less than half the price.

  • Yes but jap bikes dont have a soul!

  • But it's Caparossi's motogp bike from 06!

Can you imagine owning a motogp machine? Nothing factory built from Japan can come close on a track; assuming you could come close to tapping a portion of its potential.

If Rossi's M1 was for sale on the road I'd be all up for the Jap's (I own a Kwak) - but it isn't. Ducati actually had the guts to make gp bikes for the street and deserve to be worshiped for what they've done.

I'd settle for an RSV4 as well.

  • saw 1 dyno'ed last saturday @ ducati of seattle and it put down 155sae I believe That is alot!

  • i think he was being to gentle with that engine, you are meant to thrash it within an inch of its life, harrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrd lol

  • Awesome!! This dyno rocks too, its where I had my bike on the dyno. What a difference!

  • 1 down 5 up like usual

  • whats the gear shift pattern

  • 1 down 5 up

  • it dont seem like it though when he start changin down the gears

  • Its a racing bike, they use reverse gearing so it's 1 up 5 down

  • you can see him shift by pushing the shifter up to get to a higher gear... so no its not racing style...

  • Why does racing style differ to regular style?

  • on a motogp bike, you upshift by pushing the shift pedal down from neutral.

on a street bike, its up from neutral

  • wat on my streetbike you push down to go into neutral it goes 1 down 6 up (yes i have a seven speed bike) and that still dont answer my question of y does it differ from regular shifting wouldnt it be easyer and less confusing to keep it the same as a road bike?

  • its also called gp shift. My suzuki 750 is set up that way. I love it,

  • is that where you shift all down?

  • it dont matter it doesnt do anything its just easier in racing to shift down when accelarating quikly thats all nothin special just depends wat u r used too

  • i have a hard time believing your bike has 7 gears, what bike is it?

  • Old school Cagiva Mito 125

  • the technical specifications say it only has 6

  • I have the Evo 1 with the 3 spoke rims and the 7 speed gearbox.

  • that mate, is a Ducati Desmosedici RR.

  • yeah n my yam 80 wud smoke it!!

  • haha thats what you think. how much BHP does your 80 put out? this thing does 197bhp @ 13800 RPM. Its a road-replica moto gp bike. full carbon fibre bodywork, forged magnesium wheels. your yamaha 80 wouldnt stand a chance even if it was running on Avgas.

  • 8 fully smokin ponies! no seriously i have a 748 so fully appreciate the power of this weapon

  • oh ho duuuuuuuuuude epic =D i wanna get an 848 after i get off my Ls/Ps

  • it has 6 man. learn to count plz.

  • oh for god sake, jesus learn to read on dumbass i was talking about the cagiva mito evo not the ducati

  • he said evo. an evo is a mistubishi evo lancer.

  • no you moron the bike is called cagiva mito 125 evo, not every thing that has evo in the name is a stupid mitsubishi evo lancer you dumbass
