I usually don't listen to this type of music, but the darkness and sinister nature of this song is just awesome.It also has some of the best lyrics ever written.

God I love this cover. This version goes with the lyrics VERY well. You don't realize how ominous and scary this song is in the original, it's way too peppy for me.
It reminds me of a very fucked up Little Red Riding Hood.

@VoixMortelle I also think that is ridiculous. Butchering is what bored pop starlets do to classic 80's new wave. This is an eclectic reinterpretation; you're probably just unsettled by the entirely different kind of appeal this version has.

@sYnthYte I'm not "unsettled" by it. It's not closed-minded or stupid to dislike something. I think this is a bad version of this song and simply expressed that opinion. I'm not going to look down upon someone because they like it, as everyone is entitled to their own point of view, and I think it's a bit pretentious to imply that I don't like it because my musical tastes aren't "refined" enough.

@VoixMortelle "everyone is entitled to their own point of view" doesn't preclude me criticizing that opinion. unless you think opinions are indefensible, in which case why bother stating one at all? also, note I said "probably". This is because you gave no critical reasoning to your dismissal of this song and therefore I could only assume the worst, given the rather violent tone of your vocal dislike. also, be careful using the word "pretentious". it's used most often by the guiltiest.
