Where I live in Ontario there's not a lot of thunderstorms but there were multiple tornadoes touching down in Toronto a week ago. Luckily I wasn't in Toronto at that time when that happened :P

Man, i'm sorta glad i live in Britain.

We don't get storms like that. But they are fun to watch, we have had some.

We had a funnel cloud in Newcastle, and have had mini tornadoes.

I want to see a tornado, but dont at the same time.

one day a thunderstorm hit my house and it was lightning every half second. no joke. i mean i was on the phone with youtube user 5dmc1, on a long distance call then omg there was a lot of lightning!

ya it got much worse by 10:15, we had lighting every second and I saw a bolt hit our porperty! it was sooooo loud! and our power went out too :(

It's true although it is rainy we very rarley get thunderstorms like that.

the lightning where i live is like 4 to 5 streaks. to me this thunderstorm is nothing.

well to be honest this video wasnt the real part of the storm, i got a clear view from my window and around 10:15 it was exactly as you described. we got it pretty bad, its been reported huge shots of lightening hit over 7 thousand times.

so yeah jsut to let you know, this storm wasnt as u saw in this video that was just the start :)

ya the storm actaully got MUCH worse later but it was waaay to dangerous to film it cuz lightining struck our propert and that building you seee across the street tons of times, it was the same as GTAIVmsn's type of storm, and ya it happened at around 10:15

do you have tornados with your thunder storms? i do. when you get a ts where there is a tornado touching the ground then film it. about a month ago we had a ts with a tornado. luckily that tornado died down. i don't live central USA but in new york, southern new york. no offence but canadians have much cooler climate than the us, thats because of the jet stream only for this time was the jet stream in canada allowing the warm air from the south to produce ts. so this cant be a tyipcal ts to you.

well obviously we don't get tornados, but we get alot of warnings (which never happen). and i as a Canadian, take no offense, 'cause i personally love the fact that its cooler and not hot.

no we dont get tornadoes due to a massive ridge called the Escarpment not far from my house. but this thunderstorm got about 10 times worse at about 10:15 :(

ok your forgetting about the escarpment. the cold air is always being pushed down the escarpment and there is also cold air coming from the opposite side from lake ontario. so whenever we have warm and sunny weather, it usually follows with thunderstorms in the evening and at night due to that cold air.

and also this only occurs in the strip of land between the escarpment and lake ontario which you may know as the niagara region or the golden horseshoe.

the storm got MUCH worse later on, lightning sturck some objects on the front property about 7 times and our basement flooded so i was forced to film the light part of the storm

thats it? if you go to new york or florida, thats nothing. we get lighting strikes every 3 seconds and lightning looks so sick!

this was the mere beginning of it, we had lightning every 3 seconds beginning at aroun d 10:15 it was just way to dangerous to film

Nice, we had some pretty badass sheet lightning over in B.C.

One time a weird looking ball came out of the lightning and some lady screamed. Lol.
