Yeah, Second Life is so lame.... some people earn $5,000 a month or more with their SL business. Aside from learning valuable things like 3D design, texturing and programming in a C++ like scripting language.

I mean, how lame is that? Who'd possibly want to be self-employed and successful? Who needs money or job skills anyway? That's for nerds. It's so much cooler to grind for levels and items in games like WoW.

This is not a "game". It's a virtual place and a means of communication. You might as well call a TV or a telephone a game. What I do in Second Life is running business, and of course it's getting me somewhere :) I work about 5-10 hours a week, and that's more than enough to pay my bills and then some. That's where SL is getting me.

I remember reading about kill stealing (griefing) and map hacks (hacking), and noobs... well, they're everywhere :)

So it's pretty much the same when it comes to the potentially crappy experience, but with the big difference that SL is not a game and WoW gives you no creative freedom, no sex roleplay and no possibility to earn any money beyond the meager income of a Chinese gold farmer.

Haha that's a great question JestedJester, I guess the SL Raids carried out by sites such as Ebaums, 4Chan and Goons would constitute terrorism. For instance Goons made it rain penises for quite a while, whilst a company was carrying out a serious business meeting. It's sort of terrorism I suppose.
